Green tea latte could have been stronger and drip coffee could have been hotter (temp) Classic Avocado toast with egg had old avocado. The color wasn't fresh. Walked in on a cold April morning, place had just opened up. Got an apple fritter and cappuccino. Beautiful place, built into an old house, totally redesigned. Barista was oh so friendly and it was one of the nicest coffee shops I've ever been in. Location is by Browne's Addition and sort of tucked away. I would recommend getting here when they opened because a line started forming after I ordered. Has the standard free WiFi and very calming ambience. Ladder Coffee offers a great vibe and coffee! The interior is brightly-lit and filled with quaint decor. Seating inside is limited and intimate so it's a great place to meet and catch up with a couple of friends but you'll have to be quick to snag a spot. There's also a few outdoor seats available in the back of the shop. They also have a private parking lot but it's very small. I ordered a latte and their avocado chili limon toast. Both were great, although the avocado toast could have been a bit better if the bread was toasted. So probably one of my favorite spots in Spokane right now. I have been into Avocado toast as of this year and that obsession is not going anywhere. I have mastered making it but man these toast specialty places are killin' it. When you walk into this place, it is one of the most upscale looking coffee shops I have ever set foot in. Oh man, they have bright windows and wood and tile mixed together in the floor and the backsplashes all match and it is pure heaven. There are green plants in the corners and modern sitting places. I love love love the layout and the atmosphere. Now I ordered a latte and the prosciutto and avocado toast, then was recommended the fried egg on top. OH MY GOSH. Look at the photos I took here and you will know. It was insane, so so flavorful and delicious. From the bread to the red pepper chili flakes, to that beautiful friend egg. Best Coffee Ever. The cutest place with the most amazing avocado toast (literally to die for). The coffee is so yummy with just the perfect fruity and nutty notes. The decor is just adorable as well, makes it feel very cozy and homey. A lot of seating space as well. If all of that doesn't win you over, the staff will. Have only visited during COVID times. The employees are all wearing masks, they provide locally produced hand sanitizer for patrons, and the shop is spotless. New favorite local coffee shop since Coeur on Monroe changed ownership. Sunny and modern decor, really pleasing. Friendly service. Delicious cold brew and espresso drinks, and really fun albeit pricey avocado toast. Mostly small tables for singles or couples, sometimes see a studier or laptop worker but most patrons are getting drinks to go. Two small tables on the deck. I am a sucker for their iced americano and avocado chili lime with beautiful watermelon radish and house-made pickled onions. Note that the drinks and food come in disposable vessels. Taking 1 star off as toast + coffees for 2 people will set you back ~$35, approaching the cost of a sit-down full service brunch at other establishments. read more

They even have all different milk options which is a plus for me!! Most of their ingredients were organic as well! I love coming to Ladder coffee! All of their beverages are delicious and the toast is amazing. I recommend adding an egg to the avocado toast! It is delicious. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. Additionally, the staff and owner are so incredibly kind. Each time I have gone in I am greeted with a friendly smile and excellent customer service. This is the perfect place for a date, quick breakfast or even a place to study. Their space is filled with natural light making it a charming, happy spot! Had a quick stop here while driving to get some caffeine. Wasn't sure what to expect, but they had single origin espresso on the menu, which was a good sign that this could be a good coffee shop. Ordered the single origin espresso, which was the Ethiopia Hamesho Kebena, and it was one of the best espresso shots I've had at any coffee shop (from Seattle to Chicago). No bitterness or strong acidity, just a well balanced and clean espresso. I'm actually sad that I'm not near by to visit more often; the experience was so good. I'll definitely try to make a stop on the way back and will be ordering some whole beans to try and reproduce at home. Job well done! read more

I love that they serve bread made by glorious so today we ordered toast with olive oil. Very thin and puny for the $4 that it was. At that point it was 3pm, so the barista refused to make me a sandwich. They close their kitchen an hour before closing. I started my order with him more than an hour before. Run of the mill. I do think that some empty space is good. However, too much space is not. The environment is quite loud, even when it's slow. Tried one of their daily creation's, and want not impressed. I would use the word creative to discribe it but not in a good way. Staff is friendly and helpful. Avacado toast, maybe it needs more butter?? So so. High seats are the worst pretty much no wear to sit comfortably. I feel like some business don't want you to spend any actual time there and second your done you should go. I did appreciate the plants, but they aren't enough for me to return. read more

Cons: limited seating, and very uncomfortable seating if you are working from your computer. Tables are too high to be ergonomic, even with an additional cushion on which to sit. I went to the coffee shop on Francis because they have a drive-through. But apparently nobody works the drive-through at this location.
