We had our rehearsal/welcome lunch at La Cocina. They easily accommodated over 40 of our wedding guest. The food was fresh and DELICIOUS, especially the brownies! We also loved the margaritas! Not too good. We were there June 2013. The food was not tasty - I did not finish my fish taco's - as they were really "fishy" tasting. The other guests in our party had similar problems - We got there 45 mins before they closed for the evening. Perhaps they had lost enthusiasm for good quality food by that point in the day. The price for the food was way over the top - $117 for 4 adults and 2 kids. I can get much better food for 1/3 of that price at dozen's of places in the ATL. I understand it's the beach etc etc. But I will not be returning here and would suggest elsewhere to others. Mike read more

I loved the steak. Te service was also very amazing. There was wonderful outdoor seating although it was too hot at the time to sit outside. It was a cool restaurant inside. I loved the Mexican style artwork on the inside. The waitress we had immediately got our drink and was smiling all the time. If you are feeling like Mexican food this is the place to go. read more

Amazing food and excellent service. We visited this restaurant with our children and they loved it as well. Their chips and salsa tasted delicious and wasn't too spicy for the kids to enjoy. We also had their cheese dip and guacamole and they were delicious as well. Our entrees arrived in a timely manner and tasted amazing. We also had dessert and the tres leches cake was out of this world good. My husband had the apple empanada and he loved it as well. We will definitely eat here again! read more

We went for an early dinner, around 6, and there was a wait. However, we were able to sit in the bar area, at a table, and were served right away. We ended up with three waiters, but all were attentive and helpful. I ate the burrito with ground beef and it was delicious. Plenty of food for one person. Went there for lunch with a few friends. We decided to order the Margarita pitcher because usually it it's the cheapest option for 6 people. Waited for a long time for service, finally got our pitchers of margaritas which were not the pineapple ones that we ordered. Little did we know each pitcher was over 40 dollars so when we got the bill, we ended up paying 90 dollars for two pitchers of Margaritas that were Mainly filled with ice. Complained to the owner who didn't even know what the price of his margaritas cosy and he came back and said I am going to give you the employees discount which equated to 4 dollars off all of our bills. We rent out our condo all year long and will be letting everyone know to avoid this place. Terrible management. read more

Tex Mex that is a step above. I had a combo plate with an excellent veggie enchilada that contained a decent amount of vegetables and a beef brisket type crispy taco that had a very rich feel. And the Yucca fries that were shared among the table were extra delicious and something different for me. They were almost creamy on the inside with a great crust. Toasty warm chips and a fresh salsa that was thick and infused with cumin was brought to the table in a timely way. We will definitely go back. read more

I got two fish tacos which were tiny and way too expensive ($8 each?!). One of the pieces of fish was no bigger than the size of my thumb. A house margarita was $10. The queso dip looked very cheaply made. Both my wife and I left irritated because of how much money we spent for such a small amount of average quality food. I hate to be this person...but as nice as our server was...location and decorations were nice...the food was pretty terrible. I've never tasted a more awful salsa. It was like ketchup! We ordered the bowl and it was served cold. They said this is how they serve it. It had maybe a spoonful of beans barely any flavor. Without the cheese dip we would have be super annoyed and hungry. We ate here twice while on vacation in Rosemary beach! It was so good the first time we came back on our last night! Very kid friendly. Delicious food. You can eat outside or inside. Easy to bike to. My son said the shrimp was the best he's ever had and he picked another order of shrimp instead of ice cream. Terrible food. Went there today and they are offering a la carte instead of a full meal with rice and beans. They are charging $5.00 for one taco and $3.00 for rice and $3.00 for beans. The same taco you can get at Taco Bell for $1.00. Nothing special about their food. I am a local and used to go there in the past. The menu has changed and the food is not as good as before. They are ripping off the tourist. Shame on you! Quality is not there anymore. They need to come down on the drink prices too. read more

Our first visit in a couple of years, and this has been my favorite Mexican restaurant on 30A for the last ten years, so I was a bit nervous when we walked in and they had changed their decor and their menu. We asked the waiter, Jacob, about the changes and he explained that it was under the same ownership but that the owners had decided to "step up their game" and offer a higher end menu... and to that end had hired a new chef, and had just started offering the new menu about 10 days ago. Queue more nervousness on my part, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! Everything we had was excellent. I had barbacoa(kind of a Mexican tender pot roast style brisket) enchiladas, and my wife had roasted Brussel sprouts and a traditional beef taco. My in-laws had brisket tacos and the best charro beans I've ever tasted (sides are large enough to share, and so they did!). I highly recommend this place and I highly recommend asking for Jacob. He will make good recommendations and treat you right. read more

While I had a good experience with the burrito bowl, my experience with the fajitas was not so great. The chicken came out and was very undercooked and the veggies were burned to the point where I could not tell the different kinds apart due to how black they all were. I don't even know why the chef sent those out, but I was not pleased. Another thing that I was not please with was the chips. They were too soft and had no crunch at all. Gross. Spicy queso was just queso with taco seasoning and old bay spice mixed in. The meat in the tacos and enchiladas had no seasoning. The enchiladas were also doused in a really gross, unidentifiable, thick red sauce. The black beans and rice were impossibly bland. Margarita had no alcohol in it. The bill was outrageous. Just woke up at 2 am with heartburn and a burning desire to write this negative review. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more
