I will never go back and do not recommend. I a beyond disappointed. See my pic below of "hybrid". Second pic is one on her IG page of a hybrid set. I sent her the picture at the time of appointment and showed the same picture before she started. I understand our eye shape is not the same but the hybrid work should be the same. Now tell me why she gave my clumpy volume lashes?? I also pointed out the lashes I DID NOT WANT. Thick lashes was not the look I wanted. I really wanted to like this place based on the good reviews. But after my experience I'm now questioning the authenticity of these 5 stars. The first red flag was that she finished a volume fullset within 1 hour. I have been getting lash extensions since 2017 and I've never had an appointment for a fullset this quick. During the lash session I felt discomfort on my lash line, like it was being glued onto my skin. I repeatedly asked her if she was applying the lashes onto my eyelids but she kept saying no. The lash extensions were super uncomfortable and painful. I kept feeling a tightness/pulling every time I would blink or close my eyes. When I got home I was able to take a better look at the set and it was indeed glued onto my skin. After going through my lashes I noticed she only lashed about 60% of my lashes (no wonder the set was finished in 1 hour). The lash extensions she applied were way too thick and heavy for my natural lashes, causing trauma & damage to my natural lashes. Lash extensions should feel weightless and comfortable but I didn't get that at all here. Out of all the years I've been getting lash extensions this has to be the worst experience yet. She replied to my text message instantly and asked me what day I'd like to come in. Once we scheduled the appointment she sent me the picture of the building to make sure I could find the business easily. Tu confirmed with me the day before my appointment which I liked because I appreciate a reminder lol. So, the business was easy to find and there is a ton of parking. (also Tu is not the type to ask you to leave a review) I have been getting my lashes done for the last 3 years and have experience from a few different lash techs and Tu is the first lash tech I've ever left a review even when I was asked too previously by my previous lash tech. I have been going to Tu since April. I was in desperate need of trying to find a new lash lady since my previous one was getting too expensive, poor quality & a far drive. I was just going through yelp w/ not that much expectations. Her place is clean & comforting, you'll feel really relaxed. She also very light-handed that you can barely feel that someone's doing your lashes. I wish her clients would leave her reviews because she deserves more than what she has right now. 1.) QUICK IN RESPONDING! (text) She easy to reach & response quick. She's very accommodating as well, even with a day or 2 days notice, she will try to squeeze you in. I've been texting her with less than a week notice of my appointments. 2.) PRICING! Her pricing is very reasonable. If anything cheaper than usual. Unlike other places it depends how many weeks it's been since your last fill and it increases per week. But with Tu it doesn't matter how many weeks it's been, it's still the same price. She doesn't charge you for removal of foreign lashes. She also has deals for new clients. 3.) KNOWLEDGABLE! She's very knowledgable that made me comfortable experimenting with her. I've done cat eye wispies & doll eye wispies. I've done D and just tried D+ on curliness. I've gradually increased my length from 13 shortest and went up to 17 longest. When I went for a cat eye wispies/D/17s, she warned me that it may not last that long because the longer the heavier, BUT GUESS WHAT... That was my last set that lasted 4wks & 1 day. That should tell you something about her quality Lastly.... QUALITY! I left my old lash lady b/c of quality. I was barely making it to 2 weeks. With Tu's quality, I can't compare it to any other places I've been. I just went for a fill today & my last fill before this was 4 WEEKS AGO. 4 weeks & 1 day to be exact and I went to Vegas 2 days after my fill & went swimming twice. My fill before that was Tuesday before EDC that also last a little over 3 weeks. I know it's hard to believe, but just believe. HER QUALITY IS THE BEST! My other fills last 3 weeks and it's not even a volume set but a hybrid set. I'm more than satisfied and very very HAPPY with Tu's work that I've recommended her to some of my coworkers, classmates & friends. I've at least recommended 5-6 people to her and they also have been very happy with her work that they have been back for a fill. 3 people have asked me within the last 2 weeks of where I get my lashes done & I won't be surprise if they will give her a visit & come back for a fill. I'm still fairly new at eyelash extensions and the very first experience I had at another location was less than stellar. A week after getting my first pair of lashes, I was already on the lookout for a new lash technician. Long story short, that was how I stumbled upon LaChic Lashes. In attempt to salvage my natural lashes from the horrible job the first technician did, I reached out to Tu via Yelp and she was able to set up an appointment for removal + new lash set at my earliest convenience. Right off the bat, I could tell that LaChic Lashes was a HUGE step up from my first experience with the other technician. Tu was so helpful and informative, and answered any questions I had because I had no prior knowledge of extensions apart from what I've watched on YouTube. The first technician I went with initially paid me no explanation of what was going on, what she was doing, what type of lashes she'll be using, etc. Upon inspecting my butchered lash extensions, Tu even concluded that the prior technician used extensions that were too long and too heavy on my natural lashes which caused them to drag down and twist in all sorts of directions. And from there, she gave a thorough explanation of which lashes she thought would be the best fit for me and my natural lashes. She went over every little detail in regards to the length, curl, and thickness she was going to use on me and even asked for my approval before proceeding. During the actual process, she was very gentle in handling my lashes. You can definitely tell that she takes her time to make sure that her work is perfect, and even has you lay back down so she can fix any flaws in the extensions, if any. She really cares about her clients and the presentation of her work that goes out into the world. She truly has her clients' best interest at heart and I think that's such a rare quality to have in this business. Overall, I absolutely LOVED the new set of lashes she gave me and they looked so natural that I couldn't tell the difference between the extensions and my real lashes! I held off on writing this review and waited until I came back in for a fill to really see how her work held up after a couple weeks, and I am even more blown away the second time around with my lash fill. If you're looking for the perfect place to get your extensions done, go with LaChic Lashes. The prices are crazy affordable for extensions. I'm talking like $50-$70 affordable with the 40% off first time client discount, which is a HUGE deal when you've got other technicians going for $200! Although cheap prices are supposedly warning signs of "cheap extensions", I can guarantee you that they are not. Her work speaks for itself and because of LaChic Lashes, I will continue to get lash extensions for as long as I possibly can. I found my new lash place!! Before coming here, I was hopping around and tried about 5 different lash places. Then all had something I didn't like (cleanliness, price, types of lashes used, etc). Yesterday was my third time getting my lashes done by Tu and she's done an AMAZING job each time. What I love about her is that her place is clean and she sanitizes her hands before starting (big deal for me since I got a stye from another lash place because they were unsanitary), she has a very gentle touch and I fall asleep every time, she's meticulous, she makes sure you absolutely love your lashes, and her prices are affordable! She has great first time client deals and is easy to make appointments with (can schedule via text). She does classic, volume and hybrid sets. I've tried both hybrid and volume. First time getting lash extensions. I read review after review about Tu's work and I am very happy I went to her for my first time. I was a pittle nervous about having something done to my eyes, but Tu was excellent. It didn't feel like i was getting anything done. She was accommodating and I am pretty restless, I need to move every now and then but was very patient and professional.
