I came in on Wednesday to get my eyelashes done by Racheal. You can tell she was very inexperienced because she kept pulling my eyelids, pushing my eyeballs in and when the session was done my eyes were extremely irritated and watery. Although she had a good intention she totally shouldn't be a licensed lash person. I went home to see if the irritation would get better with time and the next morning I woke up with extremely swollen eyes. I checked to see the placement of the eyelashes and they have placed them basically in my water line not allowing my eye to breath. Additionally she placed a set of eyelashes on 2/3 of my natural lashes. I have seen my natural eyelashes are starting to fall and also my eyes just feel at extreme pain. I reached out to management and requested for them to remove them and have someone else place them again or that I would like a refund for this terrible work and they do not want to assist. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS. As a business owner myself I hate to add these type of reviews however this does not show loyalty to their customers. I was looking for nearby lash extensions after I got my lashes badly done at another salon and I was looking to get either a fill or removal and fullset. I found love lash and it was so easy to book an appointment online and the owner Tyra replied very quickly to all my texts and calls. The owner doesn't care about her customers. I've only gone in 4 times and they already made me get a full set twice. I went to schedule a fill and she told me I had to pay for a full set AGAIN. I explained to her that her website policy says I can fill up to 6 times and that I budget around this, and she became argumentative and when I tried to cancel she said she wouldn't be giving me a refund. I texted to schedule for a new set and Tyra (owner) was able to book me for the same day. My lash technician has been Mindy. She's definitely great with her hands. On my first visit, I went with the classic set. I have been getting mink fills every 3 weeks religiously. The lashes stay on pretty well. I love waking up looking fresh with alluring lashes. I don't wear a lot of make-up so lashes give me the minimal enhancement that I need. During COVID, they are following the safety guidelines. They do take your temperature before each session and social distancing is adhered. They're accepting only cashless payments via Zelle or Venmo. Ive been meaning to write this review for quite some time now. As many of you know, eyebrows will either make you or break you and bring out your appearance. My review is specifically for MICROBLADING eyebrows. I am not here to bash any of the works and would like to being AWARENESS to future customers/ clients. I never knew or thought I would feel uncomfortable in my own skin. I started my session with Tyra- I trusted her work to the core. I wanted to fill in my eyebrows more NATURALLY. When mapping of the face is done it takes some time, I trusted the process but I trusted too much with high hopes and terrible terrible results. My eyebrows came out HORRIFIC. The shaping was so uneven and patchy once the session was Over I couldn't believe it. (Pics attached) after countless nights of tears I contacted several brown artist and ask what I can do. At this point I'd pay anything to have have it corrected. After consulting with experienced brow artist they told me I have the option to have them saline or wait till they fade out 85% before taking action due the unevenness and blotchiness. They made me aware that If they corrected my brows it would be thicker and longer in order to even both brows out (absolutely not) After waiting a couple months, I reached out to an experienced brow artist in the LA area who told me straight up, I was scammed for money and she would do everything in her power to fix it up and she DID! Used to like this place, have grown to hate it. I've gone to over 20 lash technicians over the past 5 years and have never had issues like this. Let's get into what I've experienced... I understand 1 or 2 minor policy changes, but this is ridiculous. Had an appointment a little over 3 weeks ago. Had to get a full set because I came in with a foreign lash set and they made me pay for a removal + full set. Fine, no problem. I can understand that. It's been about 3 weeks and my lashes are still full and haven't experienced too much fallout. Still have 75% of my lashes still on with minimal growth. I book a fill and they call me telling me there's been a policy change: since it's been over 2 weeks, I have to get a removal and pay for a full set. So basically pay another $150-ish. Who can afford this every two weeks? And if you can, who would want to? Ultimately had to cancel the appointment and they took my $60 deposit. No lash technician forces their regular client to get a full set and removal every time they go past two weeks. Just greedy for money with no sense of care for the customer. Their website also doesn't show any policies or policy changes. I'd recommend you find a local lash tech, because the work they do here truly isn't worth that money. I've gotten better at other places and frankly only came here out of conveniency and because originally the people running it were respectable. Completely unprofessional and low-key a scam for what it's worth. Skip this place and find others. *YOU WILL BE PAYING MORE THAN THE CHARGES THEY LIST ON THE WEBSITE AND ON INVOICES* Side notes: I've asked if they do L-curl lashes and referenced a set from a picture. They used a D curl lash on me or something similar because my set looked nothing like the pictures. 6/18/16 Facts: lash extension virgin, I have barely any natural lashes, I am the most non compliant client, and I dislike things that require frequent maintenance. When I booked: I spoke to Mia's assistant Sue to book the Saturday before my visit. Sue was informative and made the booking process easy. The day before your appointment, Mia sends a remind text and you reply to confirm. No mascara or eye makeup recommended for appointment day. Day of appointment: Mia's room is located in oc threading salon. It is a bit small but she did tell me she is moving to a different location sometime in July and She will have additional staff for the lash extension process. Again, the room is small and not air conditioned (at least the day I went). If you are claustrophobic, it may not be the best place to be. Since it was my first time, she briefly went over the gist of lash extensions and different curves. Weights and the material she uses. She informed me beforehand that if I have a "high expectation," I probably should not Get them. Kind of confused about her statement, I asked her clarify what she means by high expectation. She elaborated some clients without full natural lashes expect to have longer, fuller lashes after the the session and left disappointed. She is only able to attach extensions to your existing lashes. If you don't have much, it'll be more sparse. However, she does try to balance this out the sparseness with different weights and length of lashes. I showed her a photo of one of her clients who had a natural approach and she said that expectation is realistic. The tape to hold your lower lashes down: I am pretty sure there were three layers. That's not what bothered me but the closeness to my eyeball itself. My eyeball was a bit irritate after 10mins or so but I would just pull down my bottom lid for some relief. Luckily, it was only 1.5hours. She also informed me my eyes would be a bit red after the extensions for a few minutes due to irritation from lash glue. Mia: She is very professional and has been doing this for about 4 years. She is meticulous and very patient to ensure you get the best results. I asked her a bundle load of questions during and after the process and she kindly answered them. Results: I was super shocked when it was completed. I was seriously expecting very little and the results blew my mind. Very happy with results. I was very honest with her and told her I dislike high maintenance hobbies such as this and she did not sugar coat it at all. You really gotta baby these things. The more humid environment you are in, the less time they last. I got these for my upcoming Asia trip so I am SOL. It's okay, she said I can cut them shorter if they fall out fast and look a little weird. Glad she informed me not to pull them out cause I would have (pulling out lashes directly may damage the follicles and result In no further lash growth 0.0) I would highly recommend her to lash extension virgins and those who get it done regularly. I requested an appt and they responded less than 10 min later via text which was perfect since I was at work. They were very accommodating and were a pleasure talking to. I came in the following week and the building was easy to find. You walk to the 2nd floor and the door is right there. The staff welcomed me and was very friendly. My lash artist was Tu and she was so sweet. She asked what style of lashes I wanted, the length, and whether or not it was for everyday wear. She was very gentle and quick. I was done with 1.5 hr. The recent sale, which renamed the company "Love Lash Studio" with Tyra as the new owner, has made changes that cannot be ignored. *The products used have been switched from Bella Lashes to an off-brand from Vietnam, along with the glue. The lashes fall start to fall out the next day. *Tyra has required the "Mia Technicians" to sign a contract that requires them to use only her products (understandable) but then makes the technician responsible for any adverse action the products may cause. In Anna's case, she didn't agree and wanted to negotiate this line item and a few additional items in the contract. She was fired on the spot 2/13/20. WhenTyra switched the name brand products that worked wonderfully to an off-brand to save money and did not respecting her technicians, more pointedly the single technician with the most significant client book in the studio. The salon will feel the loss financially, and she will only have herself to blame. The new reviews you see on yelp were bought, Tyra gave a discount for a good review. I'm have been a regular here since 2018. I have nothing but great things to say. When I first moved to OC, I had a difficult time finding a lash shop I was satisfied with. I have been getting my lashes done for over 6 years and have higher expectation from my technicians than the usual. I was happy to find this shop. Not only are the techs is incredibly talented, but they also makes sure I am satisfied and happy. After every session, they double check with me and adjust anything, if necessary. Their prices are definitely reasonable as well. They always makes me feel comfortable when I'm on the bed and provides me with a blanket. The owner Tyra, she's is very sweet and makes sure that customers are happy. I recommend to reach out to her if any issues and she will be happy to address it. I had Ana, who was super sweet and have seen amazing things she's done for my sister , but my right eyelash done by her fell off in a week and she also didn't put as much on that eye than my left one which looks completely fine. I paid for full volume, so was expecting a bit more, or just don't charge me extra for full if it's not a full set ! (total of 90) ... they wouldn't let me come back to get just one eye refilled so I don't think I'm coming back. It's a shame one eye is so bad and the other is completely fine . I've been to other studios and this has never happened. So I know it has nothing to do with my sleeping position or rubbing because i noticed she didn't put on as much as the other one on that day but didn't want to make a big deal out of it . My go to lash ladies in the OC area! I needed a somewhat last minute appointment for an event a few months ago and they were able to see me on such short notice. I've had lash extensions before and have had pretty bad experiences so from the get go I was very weary of going to places without doing my due research. This was one of the places on my list to try and I'm so glad I found them! The past few months I have been seeing Diana. She is really sweet - they all really are. But she recommended what she thought was the best look for me and I always felt that she had my best interests at heart. I was so happy with the results! The second time I came back to her for a refill she noticed that there was more fallout on one eye than the other and she was able to fix it no problem. She even added more glue than she usually does during the winter time (less glue because there's less oils than the summer months) and let me know what she did to make sure they would last a bit longer. I've been to places where my eyes would burn because of glue application, but I have never had a problem here and was always able to take a beauty nap during the whole process ;) This time around I saw Tu who is also so so kind! She asked me what I wanted and if I wanted a little more volume for the holiday season. I told her I still wanted the natural look with a bit more volume, and she delivered! They have water/tea/coffee if you're a bit parched and they offer blankets to make sure your comfortable. They also have multiple locations but Mia will tell you where to go depending on who is available when and where. I'm so sad that this will be my last visit here because I'm moving :( They have been so good to me and y'all ladies already know how hard the good ones are to find!! My friend Kylie had gotten her eyelashes done at this establishment recently and I wanted to get them done, too because it looked so cute on her! I'm super picky and I thought my friend's lashes looked really great, so I decided to make an appointment with Tyra who she recommended and let me tell you...she was so patient and kind with me. She told me what she was doing every step of the way. I've gotten my lashes done about 5 times elsewhere and I wasn't completely satisfied, but I have to say I'm very impressed with what Tyra has done for me. My eyes burned a liiiiittle bit because of the glue, but like I said, Tyra was so calm and patient and kept her composure to lessen the pain by fanning my eye. At other places, it would burn, too, but some would brush it off and say that it's normal, so I felt very cared for as a client and as a human being here. Mia is very straightforward and will not give you false information to earn money. She helped me with the semi-permanent make up for my eyebrows and upper eyeline. I admire how she is always willing to learn and improve her skills and knowledge. I am very detail-oriented with everything I do. I am a perfectionist so I do a lot of research for everything I plan on buying. Having a semi-permanent make up on my face is a serious decision so I am not letting just anyone lay their hands on me. I don't personally know her, but she has always made me feel as if I've known her for a long time. I would express my concerns on the procedure and she would help me understand what the results would be like. She has always made me feel confident before starting the procedures.
