INSTEAD: TWICE fasted for 12 hours + drove to Quest FOR NO VALID REASON + WASTED TIME + GAS + $ IN PROCESS. ALSO wasted extensive amount of time fruitlessly ATTEMPTING to reschedule appointment - to no avail. Quest website ALSO fails to indicate on its effectively-USELESS calendar - and/or confirm via email and/or provide QR code for phone-scheduled appointments - - AND fails to allow rescheduling of order-associated appointments - - SO: - ALSO wasted MORE of own time + that of BOTH pcp staff AND cardiologist staff - reordering SAME bloodwork tests 3 TIMES - - the last 2 orders for NO VALID reason - - as ONLY Quest aware of (first 2) still-valid tests. OVERALL QUEST PATIENT EXPERIENCE(S) IS/ARE MUCH MORE THAN 1 INTERACTION DURING 1 VISIT. A clean facility with great weekday (6am-6pm) and weekend (Saturdays until 12pm) hours. I have never had to wait that long to be registered and get my required lab work done. The staff has always been pleasant and of the countless vials of blood I have had drawn there - I can count on one hand how in experienced my phebotomist was. There is another Clinical Laboratory Partners further north on the Silas Dean Highway but they close at 4pm so for those needing a place on their way home from work, this fits the bill.

She…read moreis calm and comforting and so helpful with suggestions for someone like me who has had some negative blood draw experiences. She recommended that I drink a lot of water before I arrive and she has a table where patients who tend to get light-headed can lie down during their blood draw. This has helped me so much! Now I don't dread blood tests anymore. I have had to go to a different ECHN lab (on Hartford Turnpike in Vernon) while this one was under renovations (until June 2018 I think) and it also went very well. I asked to lie down for my blood draw and was totally fine. The phlebotomist was another very pleasant person and I had a great experience there. I would highly recommend either of these ECHN outpatient labs.

I prefer heading to this location in Newington as it usually is one of the less crowded ones in the area, meaning you "might" be able to schedule a same day visit, which when you are sick is important. Once you check in and your name is called - the staff will bring you back and they have always been nice to me. To date - I have always been treated with kindness and they are very effective at getting you in and out the door. Pro Tip - think you can just show up as a walk in and be seen - be careful you probably will have to wait an hour (or more) - trust me I know from experience.
