AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The office is clean and had plenty of chairs (although all were empty) for waiting. The office is open and transparent (UNLIKE others-- QUEST) in what was taking place and that everyone was busy working (UNLIKE others--- QUEST DIAGNOSTICS). Anyhow, the moment I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly person named Raymond. I had already signed in on my phone when I parked, so all I needed to do was wait for my name to be called, which it was within 3 minutes of my arrival. I was taken back to a private area and my blood was easily and painlessly retrieved by Raymond. He is personable and smart, gentle and a great asset to this office. All of the staff that I saw and encountered was friendly and busy helping others (UNLIKE other places, again -- QUEST, sorry to bash but they are seriously the WORST OF THE WORST). I will NEVER go anyplace else to get my labs done. I was in and out within 15 minutes due to the office's level of efficiency, their professionalism and experience. THANK YOU LABCORP!!! read more

If I could give them zero stars, it would be zero. This is such a ridiculous place and not efficient on how they run their operation. I understand I don't have an appointment, but got here at 9am and quoted me an hour wait. It is now 12:20 and waited over 3 hours! I promise I will not be back again. This is not how a business should be ran. They called me in at 11 to check my insurance. This should be done at the beginning instead of waiting 2 hours. And then everyone was served before me. I don't understand how this is fair and equitable. Been in the in the room since 12 noon and blood drawn at 12:25. I'm not a technician but it should not take 25 minutes to draw blood! This location if LabCorp used to be very efficient and friendly. They have made it easy to check in and you can wait in your car to be called. Unfortunately they have shortened their hours, today the bathroom was not functioning and urine collection was done in the basement restroom. The automated kiosk was not working when I got there and the front desk people seemed more interested in having conversation between themselves than taking care of patients. A man came in and claimed he had been waiting an hour to get his notification to take his labs. The front desk person claimed he had been notified , but obviously he hadn't. No apology or anything, he did get to go right in but he had to fast before the test and was not very happy to have been delayed. I don't know what has changed here but its not good. I hope it was just a bad day and not the norm. read more

Came here twice and was done within 10-15mins! Both times different ladies drew my blood were very efficient and friendly. Luckily this was close to work so I just walked here after lunch. No wait after lunch so better to come in the afternoon. This place is tricky to find. Just take the elevator to the 2nd floor.. Had such a great experience today. Raymond Brock was amazing. First off, I am a VERY difficult person to get blood from and usually need to visit the outpatient center at a hospital to do it. Not today! I went in and was nervous but wanted to try since it saves me so much money. The insurance doesn't cover the same as going to the hospital. Anyhow, Raymond was able to not only get my blood but lots of it. The Dr. ordered a bunch of test and they needed double the normal supply. Ugh! Raymond is not only nice and compassionate, he is really good at his job. He just kept talking to me and and had me very relaxed. I went in this morning to have my blood drawn. I asked the technician to please use a butterfly needle because I'm a "hard stick". She insisted she could get it with a regular needle. She was so sure of herself, that I agreed to let her try. At first my blood came gushing out, then cane to a standstill. She said she'd never seen anything like it. Well, I have. I've been dealing with this issue all of my adult life. AND I'm a nurse practitioner, not some drama queen. She finally agreed to use the butterfly. She got the blood she needed. This has been my lifelong frustration. I just wish the techs would listen! read more

This location is not the closest to my doctors office, but I still go here whenever I need blood drawn. Staff is friendly and they seem to get people in and out quickly, with/without an appointment. I usually just walk in and the longest I've ever had to wait was less than 10 minutes. The staff get me in one stick, and that is a huge bonus(I have tiny veins) !Thanks labcorp! This LabCorp facility is the one on 221. E. Walnut St. in Pasadena, Suite 248. I've gone there a few times and I've had such terrible experiences each time! First time I took my son at the end of the day because the doc sent him at the last minute due to an illness, the receptionist was rude right from the start. She looked at our lab form and asked if my son had fasted. We said no since the doctor said he didn't have to. Glancing at the form she said it indicated fasting and to come back tomorrow morning first thing. We walked out and I had a bad feeling she wasn't being honest so I rushed to the LabCorp on Green St. since there was still time left before closing. There, they greeted us very nicely even though it was late and took my son's blood test. No problem, quick and easy. When I asked if the form required my son to fast they said no. So the other receptionist LIED. I was furious because this was about a little boy who was sick! The next day I called to speak with the manager to tell him of the incident and he profusely apologized. Since he had a good attitude about it I decided to give them another chance for next time. So the next time (months later) again, the receptionist at the Walnut location was extremely rude, loud and obnoxious. She has the annoying personality of trying to be intimidating to the public. Then while trying to draw blood from my son, the phlebotomist poked him 4 times in the same area in search for a vein! In, out, in, out... By the 4th time he was in so much pain that he ended up throwing up! And he had warned them not to continue because it hurt so badly and he was sick/nauseous. Then another one took over and drew his blood on the first try... in the same area. Nice. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. Terrible, terrible service for the public who in the majority are ill going in. Covid or no, This lab corps has the rudest employees. It takes weeks to get appt so if you have emergency you are stuck taking chances. They are hostile if you don't have appt like you're an idiot and won't give a wait time. They have no hours set aside for vulnerable patients like other labs. You can't call them directly or talk to anyone at labcore. You have to navigate non user friendly website. Avoid if you can. Make sure your insurance gives you a different option. read more

As another Yelper noted, this location has undergone a remodel. I'd been there several years ago and understand the previous negative reviews, including the comments about past customer service. But now the facility is updated, clean and the staff were professional, kind and efficient. The building it's housed in still could use some updating, but once you're in the LabCorp office, it's new. Service was great and I was finished quickly. Parking lot is accessible via South Catalina Ave. - seemed like the normal kind of paid parking experience one encounters at a lot of medical facilities. I came to this LabCorp for an allergy blood panel. I will note in comparison between this patient service center and the one on 50 Alessandro you should have an appointment as it was busy when I went it. I did have an appointment which was seen in 10 mins after checking in on the kiosk but I heard a walk-in being told that there were 6 patients ahead of her and it may be awhile. Note I did come in during the morning. The only thing that ticked me off a bit was how after getting a estimate cost of care notice is that they wanted to have a credit card on file. While I was not surprised that I would be charged for this blood draw since it wasn't coded as preventative, I never feel comfortable having a card on file with medical practices since I have a secondary insurance. I asked them the reason why since after my last draw at the 50 Alessandro patient service center i never had estimate cost of care notice and they told it was my insurance and that it's their preference to have a card on file for billing purposes. I told them I wasn't comfortable with it and to have it billed to my secondary first then the remainder to me. They were fine with my choice in the end. On a brighter side, I had a great phlebotomist who made sure I was ok and not prone to fainting when getting poked. She made sure all my demographics, ordered tests, and that the physicians I wanted cc'd were correct. Best of all, she was great with the needle. Wish I could give a no star review. I had an appointment scheduled for 8:15 am and checked in at that time. At 9:30 am I went to check in on how much longer I'd be expected to wait. They told me they didn't have my appointment and I must have mixed up the day/location. I later double checked the confirmation from their website, which is the only way to book appointments since they don't take appointments by phone (attached in the image below) - my appointment time and location were exactly correct. Since they said they couldn't find my appointment, they counted me as a walk-in and told me I had 7-8 people ahead of me AFTER I HAD WAITED OVER AN HOUR. Ironically, they said the woman who asked right before me also had 7-8 people ahead of her and she had just arrived 5 minutes before without an appointment. They eventually called me at 11:56 AM to say they were ready for me after I showed up on time for a scheduled appointment at 8:15 pm. Not to mention, I had fasted for 16 hours by that point. I couldn't even return for my lab testing because I hadn't planned on taking 5 hours off work for a simple blood draw. Their booking system is broken, not to mention blatantly disrespectful of people's time. Go elsewhere if you can. read more

Experienced one rude and then one friendly employee which seems to make it 3 stars on average. When you walk in, the front desk is weirdly situated, but there are lots of signs telling you where it is. I came 15 minutes before my appointment as instructed on my confirmation e-mail. The receptionist asked if I was there for a drug test and then after telling her I was, she quickly told me, "THERE'S SOMEONE AHEAD OF YOU SO YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT AND WE DON'T START UNTIL 1!" Woah, calm down. She then continued to glare at me as if I had just personally offended her when I mentioned I had an appointment. The guy who actually took my sample was super friendly and even seemed chill about me almost spilling my urine sample on him when I handed it to him. There was some weird procedure where you can't flush the toilet or wash your hands until you go out and give them the sample, but whatever; I'm sure there's some science behind how they do it to prevent people faking the drug test. It's super bizarre to pee in a cup and hand it to someone, but I guess that's what drug tests are all like. This is probably just about the same as at any other drug testing place, but I recommend making an appointment online so you don't have to wait. read more

Took my mom in for routine labs. Arrived before 7am. There were already people waiting. She was told it would be a 2.5 hr wait! I checked online for an appointment - 1-2 weeks out. This place is seriously understaffed. Please consider getting more staff and somehow increase capacity. read more

Its now been exactly 4 weeks without recieving the results of my Covid-19 antibody test. They said it would take about 2-3 days. I understand things are hectic right now. But 4 weeks? If there is an issue they could email or call me to let me know, I'm a generally understanding person. read more

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to the LabCorp on Green Street. I have never come across anyone as rude and disrespectful as the receptionist. She was acting snippy and making snarky remarks to everyone that approached her, constantly complaining out loud that she was overwhelmed and doing three things at once. I initially went to the location on Alessandro but they said they didn't take walk ins anymore, although they saw me without an appointment two weeks ago. I arrived at Green St at 9 am, and they told me the wait would be over an hour. I patiently waited in my car for 2 hours, then went up to ask how many people were still ahead of me. The rude receptionist made her usual snarky comments, and literally told me the more I asked that question, the longer it was going to take for me to be seen. Mind you, that was the only time I came up to ask... by 12 pm I was so frustrated that I drove to the San Gabriel location, where I was told there were "many, many people ahead of me" by another rude receptionist. I decided to head back to Green St because there were only 5 people ahead of me there. After another hour, I get a text notification that they're ready for me, so I run upstairs and to my dismay it still wasn't my turn... the text was from the San Gabriel location. So I jump in my car and fly over there! And the receptionist tells me to wait outside, I had missed my turn because I didn't come right in... by now I had tears in my eyes. I went outside and just paced in front of the door until I got called in. It took them less than 20 seconds to draw my blood... it was now about 1:45 pm. I arrived at the first LabCorp location in the morning at 8:20 am. Just for the record, my bloodwork had to be done on that specific date, I didn't have time to make an appointment because they're booked 2-3 weeks in advance. I tried calling them to explain my situation and see what time would be best to arrive, but they do not take phone calls! For those thinking "oh maybe they're busy due to COVID", the answer is no. They do not do COVID testing at LabCorp. They only do the antibody test. They are simply INCOMPETENT. And rude. Why have someone with the bedside manner of a butcher working in a lab?? I do not have enough words to express how much I loathe LabCorp. I hope I never have to deal with them ever again! I have a lot of choice words for that nasty receptionist on Green St, but unfortunately I can't include them in my review. Just know I want to!!! read more

Kids friendly and good skill! They were very good with my 5-year-old. Even though she was crying and heaving, they did it so swiftly and looked so effortlessly getting the needle in the vein. My doctor recommended Quest but my insurance covers LabCorp. The tall AA man covering at the front desk had terrible customer service skills. I checked in and after waiting a while and being ignored, I walked out. The Walnut site lost my test specimen so not much better, though the AA receptionist was helpful. Alessandro site is the other option, but be prepared for a loooong wait. read more

Beware, although their hours are 7:30 to 4:30, someone there has arbitrarily decided that they will only do drug testing after 1:00. I had to drive all the way to Pasadena, and take time off work, only to be told they didn't do that now. I wish I could give them negative stars. This arbitraty rule caused me so much trouble. Plus, there is no parking except a few limited street spots and the office is located in an ain't-this-quaint olde tyme building... that is like a maze. When I arrived to the building where LabCorp is located in Pasadena, I was extremely disappointed when I realized that I wasn't going to QuestDiagnostics (which is also in the same building and where I had a great experience last year for the same routine lab tests). This particular LabCorp office is located on the 2nd floor in a corner and was actually kind of dingy. The carpet was gross and everything was just super old. Upon entering, you're in a small waiting room and then through the hallway is a little desk where one employee sat checking in patients. There is a second waiting room and then 2 larger rooms where the tests are done, one bathroom for the entire facility and no place for people to wait in line. Honestly, it was awkward standing in line waiting to "deposit your specimen" in the bathroom as the guy behind me joked "it's like waiting to get into a club." Ha. The tech who drew my blood wasn't friendly at all and just complained to me how the office was so cold. Honestly, some people are already uneasy in these situations and she definitely didn't seem like she wanted to ease anyone's feelings. Once she was finished, she pretty much wrapped my arm and dismissed me...just not a great way to start a Wednesday morning. The only positive is that they do stick to getting all the patients who have appointments in on time and it was very easy to make an appointment online. In hindsight, I really wish I would've known the difference between LabCorp and Quest because next time, I for sure won't be going back here. =\ read more

The office here is busy and the employees are quick. However, I'm concerned with the accuracy of patient information being filled out here. I found out during my first two visits here that information such as my address, GENDER, and BIRTHDATE were all incorrect. This actually caused me recently to be billed for a blood test, saying I was "not covered" by my own insurance. Luckily, a LabCorp Billing rep I called decided to double check with the office here and guess what? My birthdate in their system was STILL incorrect, even after I had instructed and asked one of the ladies working here to correct all the wrong information they had for me (before my very own eyes, too). That inaccuracy was what caused my insurance information to not add up (the birthdates were not matching up, thus no member could be found) when billing time came. Honestly with these type of errors, it makes me question if blood test results are even reported for the right person. It's good that the staff here is quick, but they need to ensure that they are also accurate with their info input, as these mistakes can lead to potentially serious problems! read more

While you wait in the grimy, depressing lobby you will be subject to the horrible sounds of loud, obnoxious voices of the employees that call out for patients' names. I'm at LabCorp with my diabetic mom for lab appointments made two weeks ago. My mom's appointment was at 10:45am and it was for fasting labs( no food or drink for 12 hours prior). There is an electronic check in which we did at 10:35 for both appointments ( my appointment was at 11:30). It says they will text you when they are ready for you. The office has seating for 6 chairs( socially distanced). Signs state to wait in your car because you can't stand in the hall, the balcony, or the stairwell. Our car was on the street ( parking is expensive), it's 85 degrees,and my mom is 80. There was no way I was going to make her walk all the way back to the car. After 20 minutes, I got a text stating that the technician was ready to see my mom. When I got to the front desk, the woman there said oh it's just for her insurance card. It'll be a few minutes. That was at 10:51. At 11:30 she was still sitting in the waiting room and I asked ( for the second time) how long she would have to wait. The same woman behind the desk said " She has 3 people ahead of her, but she should be called soon. I don't want to give you a specific time." Little did I know that the wait would be ridiculous. There were tons of people, and even though they were already backed up on their appointments, they kept taking walk ins. She was finally called to the back at 12:25! Then at 12:30 I was called back and she was still sitting there waiting to have her blood drawn. It appeared that they had only 2 people working the woman at the desk and another man( another woman who was there apparently went to lunch and then came back). The man then proceeds to draw a woman who told us that her appointment was at 11:15( after my mom's). Then he tells me that he is going to draw my labs next and I tell him my mom still hasn't been drawn and her appointment was for 10:45, she's fasting and is diabetic! Draw her first!!! It was very apparent that they were very disorganized and completely understaffed. But even under those circumstances, they did not appear to be trying to expedite things at all. They just kept telling walk ins that it would be a 2 hour wait. Absolutely the worst!!!! read more

Heavy set, short white girl at the front counter has a bad attitude and gets very stressed when she as 2 or 3 pieces of paper to "process". Seems like this might be too much for her level of intelligence to handle. She likes to talk down to people and use a condescending tone of voice to old people etc to make herself feel important. She should not be in a customer facing job. I would recommend working in a MacDonalds stockroom or many a warehouse job where she doesn't have to face the "pressure" of people asking simple questions. read more

Great customer service. I went to the San Gabriel lapCorp and I needed to go pick up the requisition and I called 4 times and no one answered. I called the Pasadena LabCorp once and they answered, explained what we needed and how much of each sample. I came to this (Pasadena on Green St.) to drop off the samples. They called the Doctor, had them fax the requisition, and stayed past closing to help us out. Thank you Amanda and staff you're all wonderful and give excellent customer service! read more
