Lab Corp on Day street, really needs to hire more employees. The way the young women in the front treat patients is utterly rude, and disrespectful. Chrystal being worse. Every person who asked her a question was met with some rude remark. Her tone is very condescending. People are sick, elderly, and have sick babies. They don't deserve her bad attitude. I am going say she is like this, due to being overworked, and under paid. She is doing front work and being a phlebotomist. She is just nasty. The customer service is completely gone from her care. Even know she may be stressed it still does not give her the right to be mean to patients. I grabbed my mom and got out of there. Went to another Lab Corp and was greeted with compassion, and care. Day street need to go customer service classes asap. read more

This is what happens when the phlebotomist wants to skip steps. And she did not wear any gloves. This bruise is a week old, it was worse. But it could have been prevented by taking out the blood collection tube before withdrawing the needle out of the vein. I leave this review so these "mistakes" stop occurring. First off, I was sickened to see a roaches crawling on the wall and one of them almost falling on a lady's head. In a sterile environment this is a big no no. The place was poorly organized. There were were only 4 seats. This is appalling because several people were having trouble standing. I arrived when the site opened and after 2.5 hours I still had not been helped. The african american lady at the front desk was absolutely rude to everyone including myself. I even overheard her yelling at the other office worker she was sitting next to. It was very unprofessional. One patient was there equally long and asked how much longer. She replied "cant you see there are other people here?" He exclaimed he had an appointment and she just said wait your turn. She did the same to me. When I told her about the roaches running around she just shrugged like "what am I supposed to do about that? I work the front desk." One thing that got me was I was called in to give a urine sample. They basically left me unescorted the whole time. when I was done giving the sample the front desk staff just pointed to the general vicinity of the office room. I went in there alone, saw several blood vials laying around and could not find the "basket" where I was supposed to place the urine. Here I am looking around the counter and cabinets to see where this person was pointing. If I was a different kind of person I could have tampered with the samples and caused some serious harm. All of this would likely have gone unnoticed as there was no one anywhere near me in the sample room. Ultimately, I left after 3 hours of standing, laughing at the roaches on the walls and getting rude service and responses. I did not give the blood sample in which I wasted a good portion of the morning on. I really hope you look into these complaints. read more

I don't know what it is with this place (Heacock location) if it's lack of staff or what but I checked in around 9:50am by 11am they go to lunch until 12 I finally got called at 12:25 and that was only because one of the staff members walked out and saw me still waiting in the hallway because there's never any seating inside. Then the young man that did my draw would not listen to me. I told him I was a hard stick and I needed like 14 tubes of blood I showed him where to draw the blood from because I've been through this dozens of times he still wanted to do it his way. After tube 2 it wouldn't come out anymore and started clotting. I heard a big puff of air told him take it out it was hurting. Still didn't want to listen and was touching all around my arm. Well guess what after sitting there 30 mins he finally tried where I told him from the get go and was able to fill every single tube with no problem. This bruise is the first stick and it's over two wks old now. The gentleman was nice so I won't name hbut he needs to listen to the patient. read more

All I Gotta say is the people that work here are really incompetent. I make an appointment and it's useless. My doctor faxed them the requisition for lab work because we are not allowed to email , "cant" email it but ...they lose my paperwork when it's faxed. It appears they got their head stuck way up in their behind. They don't know how to do their job. had second thoughts about getting my blood drawn here. If they are this Incompetent in the front office, I only wonder how incompetent they may be in the back office where they have the needles. So I took myself to a different labcorp . The one nearby at Walgreens and guess what??? "Wala" !! What you know , I can email them my form and did . They got the job done . This place is God awful! The staff is sooooo unprofessional! The "phlebotomist" if we can call her that, apparently doesn't know what OSHA is because she put gloves on to take my blood and then walked around the place touching doors etc with the same gloves! She then started talking to staff and making fun laughing about patients. I'll be filing a complaint with Occupational Safety and Health Administration about her not taking her gloves off I urge anyone who experienced something similar to do the same at 800-321-6742 (OSHA) as for the staff behavior I'll be calling corporate. I was very worried when my physician decided to switch lab group from Quest Diagnostic to this place. More so, I became nervous when I first stepped inside their waiting room. The area was very small, dark and old. The chairs were somewhat dirty (from being old, I think). But after 3-4 times visiting this place, so far, it's not that bad anymore. I would have still preferred QUEST diagnostics (Day St.) but since this is my physicians preferred lab, this will have to do. I have learned to overlook certain things or well, have gotten use to their old, dark waiting room. The front desk ladies are usually quick, professional and efficient. The phlebotomist was friendlier than the front desk staff, esp. one particular older lady. So far, no double stick here yet. All it took was 1 stick and the job was done, even on my toddler. So I can honestly say, this place serve it's purpose. The more I keep coming back here, the more confident I've become to complete my lab works here. Add ons - They are open during lunch times while Quest closed for 1 hour for lunch. This is convenient for me when I want to complete my labs during my lunch break from work. I've also notice the wait time here is less compared to Quest Diagnostic. The check in and out times were approx 15-40mins max. I would say 3.5 stars overall. TIP: The location was hard to find at first. It's located in 2nd floor of an old building, across the street from Kaiser MoVal in Heacock. Also, use the stairs, the elevator is sooo slow and old, it practically huffs and puffs :) read more

Let me start by saying this place is dirty and the receptionist in the front is rude!! I had an appt at 1:15pm. Ok so i got there at 12:45 check in from my phone around 1pm received a txt to come in "we are ready for you" i come in, the lady in the front doesn't even say hi. She send me to pee in the cup and here it all starts the bathroom is disgusting there was literally a piece of poop on top of the trashcan!!! I really need it to get the lab work today so i still stayed. Then they told me i needed to go back to the lobby they will call me back once they're ready. I waited about 25 mins before they called me into one of the rooms then in the room i was seeing until 1:48pm!!! That is more than an hr with an appointment! So whats the point of the appt?? Yes i ask myself the same question first time in this location and last!! The only good thing after all the waiting was the lady that did my lab work she was nice and friendly i didnt catch her name but other than that if you can avoid this place please do! Ps: the guy in the pic was being ignored for good 30mins he was in line and the girl in the front keep calling everybody else and ignoring him standing right in the front until he went back and complain otherwise he will probably still be waiting for this rude girl to help him. Been back since my last review and I have done a 180 degree turn. They have got so much better. The staff is great. They have a new office located just next building over. The new office is clean and much bigger. So props to the company and the employees for changing it up for the better. read more

This place is horrible. Today was my first time coming here I had to bring my son in for lab work, I arrived exactly at 12:30 and he was not seen until 2:00!!!! Everyone in the waiting room were complaining on how long it was taking. There were only about 6 patients waiting. Waiting time is just ridiculous, I mean it's just to draw blood waiting time should not take more than 15-20 min. The Phlebotomist is just lazy she refused to weigh my son she told me to just estimate on how much he weighs I asked her "why don't you just weigh him? I mean the scale is right there" she said she didn't need the exact weigh so she did the estimate for me. That just showed me she was not doing her job right I wish I would have gotten her name, she is also extremely slow and was the only one there, which is why the waiting time is soooo long. I do give a 5 star to the receptionist she is extremely nice & helpful but that does not make up for the waiting time. I usually go to Quest but due to change of insurance, now I have to come to LabCorp because Quest does not take my insurance :( Quest is alot cleaner, and ALOT FASTER. Hope they hire more Phlebotomist at this location. read more

This place is soooo disgusting. I'm mobility impaired and there was no where to sit. Luckily I made an appointment so my wait wasn't as long as other people, but the place is packed with pissed off looking people, and seriously thought I was sitting in Juarez. They sit you in the back in one of 4 chairs with all of you staring at each other. So much for HIPAA, doesn't exist there. I waited for my doc office to call me for almost 4 weeks with the results, finally called them, LabCorp had never sent them to the office, they had to call and get the results sent which took another day or two. The only plus is that the phlebotomist was good. read more
