The receptionist and Alma who drew my blood for testing were very nice, friendly, and helpful. It was a busy office. I had an appointment but I was in the office 3 hours early, therefore the receptionist told me go ahead check-in on the machine and wait in the lobby until call. The wait time was an hour which wasn't bad at all. Alma was sweet, and smiled beautifully as greeting the patients. She was fabulous and comfort me through the whole process. Thank you very much to the receptionist (I forgot to ask for her name) and Alma. The staff here in this office was working very hard to accommodate many walk-in and appointment patients. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Labcorp was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. The customer service was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. I understand that anyone can have a bad day, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned for a second visit, hoping my first experience was an isolated incident. Unfortunately, the second experience was even worse. I've never been treated so poorly by a healthcare provider. Instead of showing empathy or a willingness to help, I felt like I was an inconvenience. Courtesy and professionalism should be the bare minimum, especially in a healthcare setting where patients may already be stressed or anxious. I needed to get blood drawn last minute fasting and noticed this location was one if the few open on Saturday in the area. I got up early and drove over there to get there before 8am. There was already a line outside at 7:40am. The doors were opened right at 8. They had two kiosks for check in. The waiting room quickly filled but the staff were friendly and efficient and the line moved quickly. Holly did my blood draw and I didn't feel a thing. She was kind enough to get me some water and make sure I was ok to get up and leave. I didn't catch the woman's name working the front counter but she was also very friendly. All in all no regrets and I'm glad I decided to travel here out of the 3 in the area open on Saturday. If I ever need more labs I will most likely travel back here. read more

The folks here are friendly compared to the other Labcorp center in McKinney located at Medical Centre, where the staff was plain rude to everyone. I had to wait here to get additional tests and the technician stepped out to give me water for my tests, made sure I was ready and was vey polite throughout the entire checking and testing process. This place was absolutely wonderful! I had to take my 8 year old to get her blood drawn and she had already had a bad experience at LabQuest. I explained to them my daughter had a bad experience at a different location, they were so kind and understanding. My daughter was scared but they reassured her, and it was fast and done. I wish I hand gone to this location in the first place. The staff was kind, understanding, and patient. Although my insurance wasn't covered here I was willing to pay out of pocket. Go somewhere else, this place wants you to fail your tests and then tell the employer you refused their test after just urinating and not being able to anymore. I have had knee surgery. My knee is in a brace from my ankle to my mid-thigh. When I got there I signed in. They called all that were there, then those that signed before me. Finally I was called back. It was obvious that the tech was not happy that my order was so long. Then the front desk person went to lunch. My tech left me in the room while she went and sat in for the receptionist. When she found my vein she was using the large needle even though I told her to use the butterfly. The vein blew, then she gets the butterfly. When I got ready to leave I got to the exit door to lobby which was a pull. I couldn't do it because of my leg. No one helped me I had to ask for help. I was so ready to get out of there. Oh and all drug results did not get to doctor by my appointment. read more

The recent experiences I've had at Lab Corp have been 5 star. They work quickly and efficiently. I have Medicare & a supplement so they don't collect a payment from me. My only area of improvement would be regarding the touch screen sign-in system. It's a self service screen where the public enters their info and confirms with their touch. During flu season especially, touching that germy screen seems ill advised. They should provide some anti-bacterial wipes to disinfect the screen. I did find their dispenser of Purell by the door which I used on the way out. I would recommend LabCorp to friends and family. read more

I have never been treated like I was at this place this morning..I walked in looked around and didn't see anyone. Finally a young woman rolled her chair into view.I have had Marilyn before so I asked who would be taking my blood..I am a hard stick. She answered a phlebotomest. REALLY duh!!! ..So checked in and it told me to go to the desk. She said what did it say was the problem..it didn't. she told me to go to the back..asked which arm..turns out SHE was the phlebotomest..I tried to tell her where they usually get it..she interrupted and said I can't even see your arm with that sleeve..which was not true..she huffed and put the band on. I looked at her and said. You know what. I am not doing this..got up.. she took off the band and I walked out front..there was a floating employee named Misti..( was so mad I forgot to get the other name) and told her. I was hesitant to visit any LabCorp office because of all the negative reviews. However, my doctor sent me for routine lab work, and I'm so glad I chose this one in McKinney. I arrived mid-afternoon without an appointment and had to wait about 20 minutes since there were four people ahead of me, but the young lady working there was very friendly and gentle with that needle. The waiting area and patient room was clean. Will use this location again if I need lab work done. Would have given 5 stars if there had been a second person on staff. read more

Opens at 7:30 unless you actually work there. Then you can show-up exactly 11 minutes late and say "Sorry girls, I was hurrying". Not a big deal for me but there were two elderly patients with walkers waiting outside. They was no where for them to sit and they very uncomfortable. It's also a little warm in Texas in August. Not very professional for a medical establishment. Should also mention there is no one here to actually do a test (she is the receptionist). So you now have 9 people waiting 20 minutes AFTER this place supposedly opens for blood work but no one is here to do the tests. Wow. Nice job Labcorp. I filled out questionnaire and made my appointment online. Got an email confirmation with QR code indicating it would make check-in faster. Upon arrival went to the kiosk in lobby to scan the QR code on phone or scan driver's license. Even if you have an appointment this needs to be done. Does it make it faster? No. I waited 35 minutes. While I waited I witnessed the front office admin's attitude toward elderly patients there before me. Some couldn't figure out the Kiosk and didn't bother signing in then wondered why they had not been called on... others had tons of questions and although the admin was patient to reiterate until they finally understood, she seemed overwhelmed yet kept her composure. This made the rest of us patient as well. We helped with what we could at the kiosk; however, you really wouldn't want strangers knowing your business so if you know of an elderly patient visiting the lab alone, please advise them how to use the kiosk. It's very simple to scan and then a screen appears with all personal information and they only need to click Next if all information is correct, then another screen appears "Thank you for signing in" they just need to take a seat and wait. Two separate ladies thought afterward they could just walk right in without being called first. One lady wanted the admin to call her insurance company and then said she had three different insurances. Several asked if they could use the restroom while she was assisting someone. Yes, it was that kind of day. Finally, the admin called on me to give insurance card and payment. She was smiling, very nice and thorough with insurance information even though I didn't ask questions. She thanked me for being patient while I waited. Within a short time thereafter I was called into the lab. Inside the lab I noticed it was not very well organized or very clean (boxes, supplies sitting all around). I visited the restroom as well and that was disturbing to see several urine specimens (different patients) sitting on a tray. Paper napkins under were dirtied by spilled over urine (elderly people with unsteady hands?). You can't help but notice because if you are a lady using the commode, you are staring into the tray. I went back inside lab area to have blood work and tech was kind, talkative while she put on her gloves and looked at a screen showing which tubes to use for the withdrawal. She grabbed into boxes and laid them out in order, tied rubber strap onto my arm, punctured tight fisted arm and began to fill. She was still talkative and very kind. When I left the lab the admin looked at me and thanked me for visiting and to have a great day even though she was still working answering all the questions of the patient before her. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Had their first appointment of the morning. Still waited more than 30 (actually almost 45) mins to get blood drawn. Technician asked from which arm--I presented both and said wherever you can find a vein. Without even checking the other arm, she chose the one closest to her and went for it. She didn't get the vein. Rather than switching, she proceeded to dig the needle around in my arm, angling it differently, pushing it further in then half pulling it out then pushing in in another direction, while I'm by now sobbing in pain. This hurts so much and goes on for so long that it induces a panic attack. No apology, just got talked down to like a child and cheerfully wished a GREAT DAY by the tech. Needless to say this was the most unpleasant experience I have EVER had at LabCorp and I will never return to this location. read more
