I got here around 6 am this morning and though I was 2nd in line, the man in front of me decided to let 8 people ahead of me. I was a bit frustrated because I was in a rush to get back home to bring my child to school. Irrespective of that, once we got inside all 4 computers were down. Likely due to the AWS outage. Not a great way for employees to start a Monday. My heart goes out to them! I was incredibly impressed how they stayed cool, calm and collected through it all. When it was my turn for a urine sample, the man before me in the restroom practically flooded the bathroom with urine. A very kind phlebotomist cleaned the entire bathroom before my use, adding to her difficult morning. The person who took my blood was Erika. She was patient, kind, gentle and quick. Given it was a wild start to a workday with a long line out the door I am incredibly impressed with this location and the staff. Thanks for a great experience! The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful, The check in process was great and the wait time with an appointment was less than 15 minutes. Erika assisted my mother with her lab work, it's usually hard for the nurse to find my mother's veins but Erika found it on the first try. I have visited this location several times. Without fail, the staff consistently lower the bar each time I come in. The staff are lazy and rude. Most patrons are immediately directed to the "self service" check in, so the staff won't have to do any work. If anyone does ask for assistance, you would think they were asking for a gold mine. The waiting room is dirty and horribly overcrowded. I personally believe that the plexiglass partition at the front check-in desk is there for the purpose of preventing irritated customers from jumping over the counter. Today there were 9 patients standing in the hallway holding empty specimen containers waiting to use the ONLY restroom. There is no privacy between the patient blood draw area and the hallway restroom line. I felt so sorry for the little kids that were getting their blood drawn. They were already nervous about the lab work, but then had to endure the additional humiliation of having 9 people stare at them while they had their blood drawn. It was sad to watch. read more

Wait time was 1hr just don't go between 11am and 1pm I got there around 11:15am so close to lunch. I was not seen until 12:30pm. Technician was nice, didn't leave a bruise or anything. Drink water, my blood flow was super slow. I guess the more water you drink the faster the flow of the blood. Clean place. Nice receptionists. For my blood draw, the nurse (or whatever she was) put the needle in and it was very painful. But no blood because she missed the vein. So she had to do it again in. Another very painful stab and another miss. The third time she finally hit. Each time it was like a hot poker stabbed into my arm. That was the most painful blood draw that I had ever experienced. My experience was awful. NOWHERE in the building, nor outside was it posted that you "must" have an appointment. But last time I went they absolutely refused to do the labs. I have gone there for many years and never, ever needed one. Never. This was the last day I could get the labs done in time for my doctor's appointment but they refused. Angrily Blamed me! Eventually It turned out there was a little note buried in their kiosk, obviously there was no way to see that in advance. This completely messed up my doctors appointment and appointments are very hard to get with him. There was only one other person waiting and I pointed that out . The person at the desk got very angry and self righteous .,She called the supervisor to control and dominate me , it seemed. The supervisor briskly walked me over to the kiosk, her brimming with attitude and judgemental condesention and stood two inches away from me, violating boundaries of my body space, and would not back off when I asked her to, which I did not appreciate. She kept jabbing responses herself with her finger, jumping in without me asking, stabbing hard in the kiosk when she judged I was doing it "too slow." (I'm a Boomer). There was a "tiny" note buried in their kiosk and that was what the two demanded I "should "have known and "what was wrong with me ???"Incredibly rude and through the roof disrespectful., Her focus was on herself being " right" instead of being helpful. Transportation is very difficult to get and must be done 5 days in advance, so they messed me up bad.,My healthcare was affected as this was a rather urgent matter and it was hazardous to have to wait a now extended time to see my doctor. They did not care, just kept insisting they were "right."Just incredibly rude and brimming with attitude. The DMV is hiring. Perhaps they'd be happier working there instead of healthcare! This is a second review for this business that had been updated from the prior. I had previously left a poor review and almost changed my mind, but after this last experience, I decided to come back and double down. Although I appreciate the convenience of LabCorp, I really get frustrated with the employees there and they're terrible attitude. I can count the times that I have had a kind our friendly LabCorp employee on one hand compared to the insurmountable amount of times that I had a poor experience like the one today. It's really frustrating that LabCorp says that you can walk in but when you arrive they tell you the need you need to have made an appointment and they are very rude to you about it. Why isn't it just customary to make the appointment beforehand since that's how they prefer it? The only reason anybody walks into the office is because it's advertised that you can. If you can't do it then don't advertise it, it's called false advertising, maybe you've heard of it before? After having dealt with all that frustration, you then have to deal with mean office, ladies that stick you in the arm with the needle really hard and move it around in your vein. I got a bruise as a souvenir from my visit today. All three of the staff that spoke to me and interacted with me multiple times within the visit fell way below Customer Service standards. I realize that it's a hard job, I also have a difficult customer service job and if you let your smile mask fall, you get in trouble, at least where I've worked before. Apparently not at LabCorp, maybe I should apply? It's already really frustrating that we're forced to go through LabCorp instead of how easy it used to be to get your blood drawn at your actual doctor appointment at your actual doctor office like in the old days. So again it's really frustrating to deal with annoyed staff and personnel because we as patients are already annoyed to be forced to go there as well. Maybe I'll have a better appointment next time and change my review but for now, you can consider this one a double helping bad review for LabCorp. And that includes the Indio office on dr Carreon , the La Quinta office on corporate center drive , and the Palm Desert office in Walgreens. read more

I've lived all over the US, including Alaska, and I've been using the Labcorp office in La Quinta on Corporate Drive since moving to the desert in 2012. I can honestly say that I have never seen such efficient, professional, friendly staff as they are. I just had a last-minute need for a lab test. These ladies: Mary, Lara, and Faith, let me in 5 minutes prior to closing the doors for the end of their day. They did not tell me to come back, or that the test I would run over their closing time. They were very sweet, pleasant, and considerate. They stayed (overtime) to take care of my needs and never once complained. I've always appreciated the cleanliness, professionalism, and accommodation the lab personnel have exhibited at this location. You girls/guys are the best. Thank you for your care. read more

2 stars only because I was in and out, but thats not even worth going back. Id rather wait 2 hours at another location. The staff is unfriendly & its just an uncomfortable atmosphere. The front desk along with the woman who pushes around her desk on wheels have an awful demeanor for the field they are in. Disorder in the back where patients that are having blood drawn in open area while others are are waiting for the 1 bathroom to give a urine sample are left with nothing more to do but stare down at the floor literally in the middle of everything and to rudely be told to move to the other side of a sink because we are in thier way. Staff in back office are young and unprofessional and think everything is so humorous that they laugh while handling clients samples etc. Now, I'm not against enjoying the workplace and have a pleasant time while working with coworkers but with this staff I felt like I was in a high school gym room. I was presently surprised when I arrived the staff were professional, happy and pleasant to enteract with while checking me in. Plenty of room. I had an appointment and was seen immediately. I made an appointment to have a drug test for pre-employment. When I arrived the receptionists were rude and treated me like I was bothering them. Then when I got called to the back the technician said you request is expired wait out there. Im thinking ok why didnt the receptionist say that before the called me to the back. So after it was cleared up they call me to the back again and its so small you standing next to another patient hearing all their confidential info and them yours! Not to mention the office is old and run down and isnt clean or sterol looking at all. Then she had me empty my pockets in to a very old dirty lock box which only included my car keys and phone. (Like how could they be a tamper issue) Then brings me back to her desk and barks orders at me, "get a cup from the cabinet, open it and empty its contents onto the desk, then pee in the cup to this line" which she tries to make with a pen that doesn't work! Of course the faucet in the restroom doesn't work and the toilet is sealed. Then once I give her the sample she says dont wash her hands the whole time Im standing in front of the small counter which is next to a sink right in front of her! While she is placing the sample in another container and seals it then labels them still not allowing me to wash my hands and tells me read and sign here and verify the numbers are correct! So I turn to her and say surely u would like me to wash my hands before I handle a pen or my reading glasses. I mean come on Im standing right in front of her right next to a sink while she has already sealed the container! She said no it's procedures! This is not my first time taking a drug test and no other place has made me wait to wash my hands! I like to eat breakfast so I can't wait to get out and eat something when I've been fasting for blood work. Located across the street from the post office off of Corporate Center Dr. The same girls work here and they have been doing this forever so no worries on the puncture and draw. The staff when I walked in did greet me right away and got me in within 5 mins of walking in. Slow and inefficient as eff. Rigid and unable to think for themselves the desk staff can't handle a large amount of incoming patients. A patient who only needs to pee in a cup while there isn't any wait for the restroom should be easy enough to quickly process. Especially since people here to get blood drawn are here for the long haul and new incoming patients would not be impacted by their paperwork taking a few minutes longer. They say that common sense isn't common and the staff at this location prove this adage in abundance. More than this, more often than not I get painful sticks and bruising at this location. The Palm Desert location off of Hwy 111 is MUCH better run with more competent staff and I've never had a painful stick or bruising when having my blood drawn there. Also, the supervisor for this area doesn't bother returning people's calls. read more

My primary care doctor said to go to any Labcorp to get blood drawn for routine blood work (CBC, CMP, lipid panel). You can schedule an appointment online (I saw 3 time slots open to schedule an appointment for the next day); I didn't want to be bound to a certain time frame, so I just walked-in. Upon entry, they require a face mask. You will immediately notice 4 giant computerized kiosks to check in at the corners of the large waiting room. At the kiosks, it'll ask you to scan your driver's license and health insurance card and then you select the reason for your visit (mine was "routine blood work). There were 4 large cushioned chairs; there were 8 people in the waiting room. The staff called me up after 10 minutes of checking in (you can also wait outside because they can text you); they asked for my paperwork that my primary care doctor handed me; this paperwork has a barcode so it was quick and easy; staff then told me to wait again and that they'll call me up when ready. After 20 minutes, a lab tech called my name and walked me to the back, then lab tech drew my blood, which was super fast and easy. Staff seemed very efficient to me. If you scheduled an appointment online, you probably wouldn't wait at all. I was pleased that I could complete my visit in 30 minutes without an appointment. read more

NO STARS IF I COULD!!!!! This lab never answers the phone....workers are rude. IF the phone is picked up....they never say anything...they just pick up the phone and hang up on you. AND THEY LOST MY LAB WORK AND WASTED MY TIME, BLOOD & MONEY! But they made sure to bill my insurance $222 on the date of service but in their system are unable to locate any labs from that date of service. After having to deal with this lab for the past 11 years as they are the only one available in my town. I want people to understand how disorganized and rude the staff is. I am not sure I even trust the test results. I had Lab work done in December 2022. As of today February 1st they still have no results. When your Doctor wants lab work stat they seem to take longer. The technicians have messed up my test several times and keep having to have them over. I called today as I have a serious condition finally after several times trying got transfered to a very rude person who said my lab work was still not complete. According to my physcian it should have been complete within 7 days max. The person I spoke to was rude and hung up on me. I live in California and this is the only Lab testing company in my town. PLEASE WILL SOMEONE CHECK THEM OUT AND GET THEM ON TOP OF PATIENTS needs. THAT IS WHAT WE PAY FOR. Also note my doctor called them and got the same answers I received. Consequently, I am in the hospital for the lab work that was not done and they are accomodating me, This is costing my insurance and my co-pay extra as I have had to be admitted.
