Two stars because the employees were pleasant. But they have far too few of them, one person for check-in and one for blood draw (possibly another I didn't see?). No stars for anything else about this location, the lobby is *miniscule* and packed standing room on a Monday morning. Very hot with no airflow. Despite making an appointment ahead of time and arriving on time for it we waited 55 minutes before being seen. They have a tracker on the wall which lets you know where you are in line for your appointment but it disappears after you check-in in person (after checking in on the kiosk) and you still wait an unknown amount of time. Would not recommend going here if it can be avoided. read more

We saw one technician, Tasha, a week ago for our 10-month old (who has very small veins), and she was wonderful. She was patient, kind, and skilled (all while being the only one working there). But apparently she isn't at that location anymore. We saw another technician today, Gloria. Tasha told me to specifically tell any other technician who sees our baby that they should only do his left arm, and only put the tip of the needle in because otherwise they'll blow out his vein. When my husband took our baby back to the lab today, he told Gloria that exact information. She reacted defensively. She ended up poking our baby twice and couldn't draw any blood. Now we're going to have to take him in another time - which, needless to say, is a pretty traumatic experience for our baby. Next time we're going to a different location. Very disappointed because our experience with Tasha was so positive. read more

This place is perfectly fine. The lobby is sad and I feel bad for the staff who have to work in an uninspired space. Every time I've gone in without an appointment, I'm almost always seen right away. The only time it was longer there were 3-4 people ahead of me. I've never had bruising from the phlebotomists, but I'm also an easy poke. The location is perfect for me since I live in Hyattsville so I can easily go before or after work. I knocked one point off for the sad lobby, but otherwise the service/location are great for me. read more

At the Toledo Terrace location, the receptionist is rude and belligerent - which at 10 am in the morning, with no patents is astonishing. She belongs in the back room, not working with patients. The phlebotomist (person who actually draws the blood), on the other hand, is warm and pleasant. Perhaps they should automate the rest of their check-in and dispense with the receptionist. read more

I have visited this Lab Corp location many times over the last 6-8 years and have always received excellent service. I have always pre-registered for an appt. The receptionists have been pleasant and helpful and the wait times have been minimal. The staff drawing blood have been cordial and gentle. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone for exceptional service. read more

This location is okay! Not much space and the building needs upgrade but staff is friendly enough. Bathroom is kind of yucky.

If I could give zero stars I would. I just recently visited this location as I had an appointment for my son to get a blood draw. The woman working behind the counter was SO rude and condescending when talking to me that we left. I was asking some basic questions and got talked to like I was stupid then she rolled her eyes as I turned my back. I do not appreciate nor expect to be talked to like that by a worker at an establishment that is charging me for their services. I'm sorry she hates her job but that's not my problem. I am pretty disgusted and will never return to this location. It's a shame because I visited this place last year and had a totally different experience. read more

Absolutely awful experience and I will go out of my way to never have to visit this LabCorp location again. I made an appointment online, which was quite easy and checked in online. I thought this process would actually start the process to let them know I had arrived, start my blood draw, etc. Nope! After waiting almost half an hour in the tiny waiting room full of loud and rowdy children, my name was called to start the check in process at the front desk. What was the point of making an appointment if it was not going to be honored in a timely fashion? After actually checking in (you have to check in both online and in person, so it was not user error), I only had to wait about 10 minutes until I was seen, now 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment. In the blood draw room, the technician found used equipment that had been left out (gross, unsanitary, and unsafe) and unlabeled test tubes. She drew my blood quickly and efficiently, but when I returned home, I realized I had a giant bruise multiple inches wide around the site of the draw. I donate blood frequently and this never happens, so I am not sure what the technician did to me to make that occur. I was told that my results would be sent to my doctor's office, but upon seeing the doctor today, they had never received them. They had to call the LabCorp location twice before my results were found. This location and its staff are unprofessional, unsanitary, and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Please DO NOT bring your child here! We had an appointment today for my 1 year old son. The way the technician manhandled my baby was traumatic for both of us and totally unnecessary. I was a nurse for babies for a long time and now I'm working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I can't imagine ever treating or handling a baby that way. I was all set to walk out until a much kinder tech walked in. By the time I got home, I was in tears. What she did is called battery in the healthcare community and law. I will go out of my to never go to LabCorp again. Our experience was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It's only insult to injury that LabCorp has no customer service line to address such an egregious experience. read more

Made appointment to come in first thing in the morning and was taken care of right away on a Saturday... everyone else who came in was seen right away as well. I had 3-hour glucose test and blood draw for pregnancy and it was not crowded I was comfy for the time I was there I think it depends on which location for how big the crowd was but I was referred by a friend to come here Saturday morning and was pleased myself! read more

I do not recommend the LabCorp in the Hyattsville location. I had my doctor send orders to their location and checked before I went to make sure they were sent. When I got there the receptionist was very rude and kept looking at me up and down. When I asked her if she could look and see if the fax came through, she went through a bunch of papers on the desk that had other peoples personal information on it for the public to see. Some people's files fell on the floor and she didn't even pick them up. She couldn't find my fax (wonder why) and said I need to "talk to my doctor". I will not be going back to this location or other LabCorps. read more

Excellent experience. I had an 8:00 appt, and by 8:08, the lab work was done and I was back in the car. The friendly and very capable technician processed my paperwork efficiently and performed my labwork painlessly and professionally. read more

This LabCorp routinely opens 30-60 minutes late. On more than 5 separate occasions, I have arrived at or before opening time (stated on the website and on the door as M-F 7:30 and Saturday 7:00) and have waited for someone to arrive to open the door. ONE time the nurse apologized. Every other time the nurse has been rude toward to growing line of patients. Today, the nurse didn't even acknowledge the line and slammed the door behind her. When the LabCorp opens late, the wait time increases with each minute that it doesn't open. On the weekend, this stinks. On the weekdays, when 7:30 is my arrival time at work, it takes personal time off my account at work and sometimes I am not even able to have my blood drawn. I have complained to the main LabCorp line many times and they are never able to contact a manager responsible for this location. The only reason I ever come here is their early open time and because this is where my doctor automatically sends my referrals. Despite many complaints, nothing has changed at this location. Apparently, LabCorp thinks the time of their patients isn't valuable. read more

Awful, awful, awful. If I could give -1 stars, I would. After the initial interaction with the front desk person, who was pleasant but not knowledgeable, the manger/person running the office, came out and fought with me about taking my 3 year old sons tracheostomy sputum sample. First she was nasty and mean with a scowl on her face. Second she said that they didn't have the order from his pediatrician, which they lost. Instead of leaving I called his pediatrician and waited while she re-faxed it. Once they received it, the nasty woman said she wouldn't take it because I didn't have his insurance cards. After telling her that I had the policy numbers (all three) on my phone and could give them to her, she insisted that she needed the cards to take a copy. I told her that was inaccurate and she then had to call her supervisor, saying in front of me, "Its to early in the morning to deal with this. I don't want anyone saying I was rude." After discussing with the supervisor my sons insurance information, all was well...40 minutes later, I was out of there. Then a week later, I got a call from my sons pediatrician. Come to find out, after having to hunt down what happened to his viral panel, come to find out, the folks at LabCorp just threw it away because it "wasn't in the right medium". Keep in mind, I am a parent, not a doctor, so how would I put it in a 'medium' and second, I used a specimen container that Children's Hospital gave to us.They just THREW IT AWAY. They didn't call the pediatrician, or me, just tossed it in the trash. This can be so dangerous, especially when my medically fragile child needed his sputum analyzed. This is highly concerning and problematic. Do not go there for anything. read more
