I walked in with no appointment and was checked in quickly even though they had a line. Offer incentives too. Check them out!

No appointments are needed - simply walk-in during open hours and find their COVID testing tent located outside in the parking lot. You'll fill out paperwork indicating what type of test you are looking for (PCR, etc) and whether you're looking for a same-day or 48 hour turnaround. I needed something same day and they were able to deliver on that promise - with a test at 9:30pm and results ready by 5pm. Hot tip: same day results are processed for swabs taken before 12pm. Results are ready for you online and can easily be printed, with all the necessary information to submit to the country of travel (practice name, testing date, testing time, and more).

I went in with a clearly sprained ankle and torn tendons and all they did was give me a shot of toradol, which I explained to them doesn't work for me, but they insisted. Did NOTHING. Now I do have to say, the staff at the front desk and the techs at this location are very friendly and compassionate. However, I would NEVER EVER recommend this urgent care. They won't do anything for you. They have no clue AT ALL what they are doing. Such a waste of my time.

Billing practice at best questionable. I called to ask if…read morethey are in a certain providers network they said yes. I checked with the insurance website they weren't on it. Then I called again and the person answering the phone said "you have to be here in person and show us your insurance card in order for us to verify" OK I took the bait as I needed the care At the front desk, they took a copy of the insurance card and said yes, they accept my insurance. Fast forward a few weeks no claims were made so I called the clinic to check They asked me to call the billing department. The billing department said that I do have a patient with them, but there is no record of me ever being treated, set, they will write a note on the record, and ask the clinic to update. Fast forward a week I called the billing department and they said they were no updates to my record. I called the clinic again, and asked if there is anything that they need from me to complete the billing paperwork. The lady who interacted with me over the phone, said that she has updated the records, and it should be sufficient for the billing department to process. I asked if it's done in real time and she said yes I called the billing department and they say nothing has changed. I am beginning to sense shady practice here. Is there any sinister incentive for them to get delay billing or is it just sheer Lack of professional discipline. I'd be curious to hear other yelpers experience and how this got resolved with these guys.

When I arrived, there were no other patients - I gave them my insurance info and ID. They asked if i was in pain and when I said yes, they said let's get you back right away.......only to sit and wait, and wait, and wait. They gave me a tablet to put my info into, but I couldn't complete because they had my insurance card and ID. After complaining and asking if there was even a doc in house (which i do not believe there was - they said a medical assistant was on their way!) Finally, someone came in to see me (almost a half half after arriving), but not for medical care, but with a form to say that I was not insured so I would need to sign a form that I would pay. First, I AM insured with Aetna through my work and second, which maybe should be first - do you notice how bad my arm and hand are burned while you are f-ing around with paperwork and waiting for a medical assistant to arrive???? Not even ice, which all of mine had melted by then... We left and went to Howard County General who took me right in, immediately gave me ice, and didn't even ask for my insurance until someone treated me!!! Avoid this place like the plague - there is a Patient First right over on 198 that I should have gone to if i was looking to visit an urgent care rather than the ER. Xpress MedCare has nothing to do with express or medical care in my book!!!!

Beware: Watch out for charges for services that you did not request…read more I was charged for services that I did not ask for: I visited on 2/2/2019, for a cholesterol check. I asked only for this service, and filled out the electronic paperwork at the kiosk for this single service. Once I got into the office, I told the practitioner on duty at the time, Kristen McGaha, that I was only looking for cholesterol check. But practitioner Kristen McGaha proceeded to first check my blood pressure, measure my waist, asked for my height and weight (she didn't take the measurements). Then she gave me a cholesterol test. She asked if I wanted a flu shot, and I consented to this extra service. After completed, she gave me the paperwork and the results of my cholesterol test. After I went home, I saw that I was charged for the cholesterol test ($37.00, coded as 80061).And I was charged for the vaccination ($26.00 coded as 90471 and $24.00 coded as 90674) -- I assume the two charges were both needed, but it its unclear. The services that I absolutely did not ask for were preventive medicine counseling ($69.00, coded as 99402) and blood glucose check ($25.00, coded as 82947). I went back to the store when I realized the extra charges, about two hours later on the same day, to speak with practitioner Kristen McGaha to ask her about the extra charges. She first said that they were mandatory. I said the CVS website says nothing about this service being mandatory. Kristen McGaha then said I had given electronic consent. I asked her to show me, and she printed out the consent form and tried to point out that the "I here by authorize" language was consent for all of the scope of services listed which included a list of services such as "treatment of minor abrasions and skin conditions" "diagnosis and treatment for common illnesses such as strep throat and ear, eye, sinus, bladder and bronchial infections". (Clearly this is a list of services offered, not mandatory services that I had to consent to pay for whether I asked for them or not.) Once I showed her that the language does not say that, Kristen McGaha pivoted and said that my insurance would pay for the services. I understood her words to imply that I shouldn't worry about it because insurance is paying for it. But, in my mind, that's wrong. It is incumbent on me to keep my insurance from paying for unnecessary services. I left, and Kristen McGaha, in my view, seemed irritated that I was making an issue about something I wasn't paying for. I then called CVS helpline 1.866.389.2727 to get redress. Of course, I was told that there was nothing that could be done, because I actually had the medical services completed. I insisted on getting this issue escalated. I was promised a return call within three business days. I am not holding my breath for a response. I am writing about my experience because I think people should be forewarned to watch how easily a CVS medical service can be slipped in to the process. And that these unasked for service could cost you, or your insurance company, extra.

I sat in a hallway from 10am to 10pm after being brought in by ambulance. I finally got a room in the ER and within 2 hours was admitted to the hospital. Once in a room, the care was excellent and the rooms were private - this is critical because there are people who snore or are disruptive. The food was very good for a hospital, yet the call in order system needs to be updated to an app. The hospital took care of my issue once it was identified and I was released 5 days later. It is the best hospital stay I have had. The staff were excellent and available when called. There are lots of people leaving negative reviews for things beyond the control of the hospital or for following protocols. Doctors and nurses have to follow standardized procedures, so complaining they did not make an exception is not indicative of the care you will receive. I would not hesitate to go back if I need medical care. I had an excellent experience overall. The only room for improvement is more space for patients in the ER out of the hallway.
