Very disappointing experience I came here for a blood test as a walk-in. At check-in, I was told I would need to wait about 35 minutes, so I left and came back after the time I was given. When I returned, I was then told I needed to wait another 40 minutes. This was extremely frustrating, especially because I had already explained that I am pregnant and was experiencing significant nausea. I completely understand that walk-ins may have a longer wait and that the lab can be busy. However, I found it unacceptable to be given one wait time, come back as instructed, and then be told to wait even longer. If the actual wait was going to be this long, I would have appreciated being told honestly from the beginning so I could make an informed decision instead of wasting my time coming back. Very disappointing customer service and a complete lack of consideration for a patient who was clearly not feeling well. read more

Labcorp - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Encinitas, California

I visited the Labcorp location at 345 Saxony Rd a couple of days ago, and what I witnessed was extremely disappointing. When I arrived, there were four people already waiting. I checked in and took a seat. After about 25 minutes, not a single patient had been called back. Finally, an elderly gentleman approached the receptionist to ask whether his paperwork had been faxed over. She told him it had not. Frustrated after waiting so long, he commented that they were incompetent and left. The moment he walked out, the receptionist loudly announced that they had made a mistake and actually did have his paperwork. Another patient pointed out that he had just walked out the door. Instead of going after him or trying to call him back, the receptionist responded, "I DON'T CARE!" She repeated several times that he had been rude, so she didn't care. She then laughed with another patient about how many rude patients they had that day. It was upsetting to watch. This was an elderly man who had waited patiently, only to leave because of the staff's mistake. Rather than correcting the error, they simply dismissed him. By this point, about 40 minutes had passed, and only one person--who had an appointment--had been called back. Then a pregnant woman arrived for a time-sensitive glucose test. She was told the system had crashed and was sent away. After she left, the receptionist again began gossiping with another patient, making comments about people scheduling glucose tests just to get ahead in line. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, I had only seen one patient taken back. Then the staff announced that the system had crashed. By then, everyone who had been ahead of me had left to go elsewhere, so I would have been next. However, after witnessing how patients were being treated, it didn't seem like I would be seen anytime soon, so I left as well. Ironically, I received a text message from Labcorp saying they were ready for me--nearly two hours after I had checked in. The long wait was frustrating, but what bothered me most was the staff's attitude. Mistakes happen, and technical problems happen. However, showing no concern for an elderly patient who left because of your own error, openly saying "I don't care," and gossiping about patients in the waiting room is completely unprofessional. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, and courtesy. read more

front person is unprofessional, making patients feel like I owe them their time. Why work in a place you don't even like?

Under no circumstances, should anybody use this LabCorp if they value their time. True, I was a walk-in. But I was a walk-in at 7:50 AM in the morning. Then the appointments started coming...and had priority...which I understood...to a point. The check-in process at the kiosk was extremely easy... and that is where the process broke down. The brand new LabCorp employee first was locked out of the system... And then informed those waiting that they were the only person working and that they were doing both admin and blood draw. I left after 30 minutes supremely pissed off having not had my blood drawn. read more

I came in recently for a large amount of blood work. Yvonne Renteria was amazing. She was professional, courteous, and the draw was pain-free. I hope I can see her again next time I need my blood work done. Five stars all the way! read more

Jessica, the phlebotomist, was very skilled! I have thin, floppy veins, and she had no trouble whatsoever! I was only poked once.

There is no better Labcorp location and this is all due to the wonderful Yvonne who works here. She works hard to get you seen quickly and makes sure your experience is good. I actually look forward to getting my blood drawn because of her - she is truly kind and just a lovely human being. And excellent at her job - it never hurts when she draws blood and there is never a bruise after. Thank you for all your hard work Yvonne - you are a treasure! read more

This is my favorite go-to spot for blood work. I can always get in without an appointment and the staff are very friendly. I was in yesterday and Juliette drew my blood. She is exceptional - the best! She's kind and is really good with that needle! read more

I think her name is Yvonne, but she deserves every five stars that I've seen given to her on yelp. She deserves a raise, hardly any weight, but then I had a 330 appointment. The place is clean and inviting a little hard to find, but it's worth it read more

The office is absolutely wonderful! I was greeted by Yvonne who also drew my blood. She was extremely delicate with doing so and would 100% come back to this location simply to be treated by her. 100% would recommend this location over all other locations. read more

They were awesome! Appointment was quick and the physician was so nice. The check in process was easy, will definitely return this location.

Wow. One of the most professional and compassionate LabCorp experiences I've ever had! Yvonne is a stud at drawing blood, and Sangita (the manager, definitely botched this spelling) is incredibly sweet! Fantastic experience, will be sure to come here every time! read more

Great office! Yvonne is professional, efficient and sweet. Happy to have found the Saxony office for a painless blood draw.

This is a one woman shop. If you have had difficulties with previous phlebotomists in getting blood drawn, this is the place to go. The woman at this Labcorp location is The Vein Whisperer. She also handles the paperwork. read more

I hadn't really had the need to see a medical professional in quite some time. After changing insurance back in the fall, and having an injury that could use some professional attention, I thought it be best to establish a connection. So after the initial medical visit, I ended up having to get tests done at Labcorp. They're sort of a "chain lab" that take care of patients when medical offices don't have a lab within their office structure. Locations throughout the greater San Diego area, this one was close and had an easy online appointment process. The day of my appointment, I arrived a little early, as some of the previous reviews mentioned it wasn't easy to find. Well, it wasn't difficult. Walked into the reception area and another customer was being assisted by the person in the window. They finished what they were doing and then the person at the window escorted the customer to the back of the office. The customer and the employee soon came out and I was called up to the window. Kristen, was taking care of paperwork, customer check-in and procedures in the back. She seemed to have a pretty good handle on everything. The office wasn't busy, but she said it could be when walk-ins show up. Which she mentioned happens once in a while. I sat down, got the samples sucked out of me and off I went. It was a quick and painless process. Not that I look forward to going back again, but if needed, won't mind heading here. Keep on Yelp'n! read more

Don't post your hours and then refuse service because you have to leave a half an hour early. Refusing service because you have to leave a half an hour early is not cool. read more

I am typically a really difficult draw-- with my veins in my arms typically collapsing as soon as the needle reaches the vein (my veins in my hands don't collapse though, so that became the go to draw site). Due to this and having had many seasoned phlebotomists who haven't been able to get a vein and end up digging around in my hand or arm, sometimes even hitting tendons or veins, I have developed a healthy level of apprehension in regards to having my blood drawn. HOWEVER, Juliette, who has 29 years in the profession, got the vein in my arm IMMEDIATELY -- and PAINLESSLY might I add. I've NEVER had a phlebotomist be able to get a vein in my arm on the first try, and I most certainly have NEVER seen the vials fill as quickly as they did. There were about 8-10 vials to fill and it took all of 5 minutes. I was entirely awestruck, and I feel much more confident and comfortable in regards to future lab work that I will need. HIGHLY recommend. read more

Awesome experience; Marisol was quick & kind. Happy I chose this location even though it was farther from my home.

Great professional and compassionate technicians. No matter the type of draw, they can always find my husbands good vein! They are very friendly and professional. Get you in and out expeditiously. Plus, they are located right next door to my husband's cardioloigist, which has proven to be a most helpful service for a immediate results. Tina F. read more

The lab is hard to find with no sign outside. It is a teeny office with one person doing the labs and the paperwork. The biggest issue is the kiosk checkin system which made me feel like a number with big brother watching me. They have a kiosk to check in with and I did not want to scan my drivers license so I asked if I could show it instead. They refused. A few minutes I thought that it seemed fishy so I asked if I was undocumented with no drivers license if they would treat me. And they do labs on undocumented people, they just have to input the information, which she preferred not to do. When a person states that they do not want their drivers license to be scanned then a business should accommodate that if possible. read more

Absolutely perfect experience. Easy check-in, easy blood draw, and an ocean view! Juliette is truly a kind and caring professional. I 100% recommend this location. read more

Had an appt in afternoon for pediatric blood work. Confirmed appointment, successfully checked in and waited in the car as instructed. After appt time came and went, we went inside to discover that the location was unexpectedly closed. No call, email, or text all day. We went to a different site which was less than accommodating. Ended up waiting over two hours past our appointment time for blood work on a child who was growing more anxious and upset my the minute. The staff couldn't care less about the situation in which they placed us. I understand that emergencies occur, but to not make any effort to notify patients or accommodate them is absolutely unprofessional. I would avoid LabCorp at all costs. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. read more

Absolutely no signage to find this place. Nothing on the first floor directory, nor on the second floor. Terrible customer service.

I'm so glad I found this hidden gem! I had to get some bloodwork done so I made an appointment for 4pm. I arrived and was immediately greeted by a kind lady at the front desk named Dawn. Checking in is very simple as it is all done at a kiosk. Within 5 minutes of checking in I was called to the back and to my surprise Dawn was also the phlebotomist! Yes, you read that right - she was doing everything by herself. I've truly never had a more painless blood draw, all thanks to Dawn's magic touch! The entire process took about 5 minutes so I was in and out really quick. She made me feel right at home by being so personable. I'll be returning to the Saxony location and I hope to get Dawn again. read more

In and out in 5 minutes. Very efficient technician. Plenty of parking. In MRI building. Appointment system easy. Can check in by phone scan.

I just want to say that all the LabCorp Labs are so good ! Yes some are more busy than other's certain times of the day, BUT the one at 345 Saxony is the best kept secret ! But there is a catch. You need an appointment because it only has one technician because it seems they do a lot of processing there. So with that said, I have to give a special high 5 to Joe Hammer. He is the currant technician, and is the best technician I have ever had. I said "Should I make a fist ?" He said he was already in. I don't look when they do that ! :^) Thank you Joe, I hope they keep you there forever ... George S read more
