I just went to the Vista Lab Corp at 2067 W. Vista Way in Vista and I had a lovely experience. When my name was called I went to the window of a lady named April and she was so sweet and helpful and very understanding to my plight. She has a beautiful smile and such a pleasant way about her. She put me at ease right away. Then there was Tony the blood man that draws your blood. He did what no one usually can do,find a vein the first time and not feel the needle at all. What a great way to start my 80th birthday. I hope you all get to have the same experience I did. This is my go to place. Blessings to all. read more

THE WORST!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Let me start by going back over a year ago for this loser place. During my annual exam, my doctor sends over the lab work orders for routine blood work, which always includes a fasting blood test. I show up all fasted, and my orders aren't there. It happened to be when my grandchildren were visiting, so I opted to come back another time. The following year, I showed up again, fasted and ready to go. Guess what? They didn't have the orders AGAIN! I was told that I had to call my doctor's office to get the orders!! I'm paying them, but okay, I have to do the work to track down the order. I called. The receptionist confirmed that orders had been sent over three weeks before my appointment, but she had me wait while they faxed them, and she verified they went through. I guess they've been through this before. I returned to the receptionist, and she told me that she hadn't received it yet. I checked again in 5 minutes, still nothing. Again in 5 minutes, still nothing. After 20 minutes of waiting for them to get their act together, I left. I had the bloodwork done at a different lab that wasn't covered by my insurance. Another doctor gave me paperwork to take to them for some pre-op work. I made another appointment, fasted, and showed up with paper orders. I didn't pay too much attention to the orders since there was really one test that was a follow-up from an abnormal reading from the earlier test. I was given a urinalysis cup, but I didn't pay attention to the blood tests they were running because I couldn't do that. When the results came in the next day, the one test my doctor needed wasn't included. When I looked at my copy of the orders, there was never supposed to be a urinalysis. I suspect that the receptionist misread the orders and ordered the urinalysis (which was the item below the test I needed) instead of the blood test I needed. I say suspect, because I can't get hold of anyone to verify this for me (including my doctor's office). My entire surgery could be at stake here if I don't get that blood test, but I can't find out what happened. This entire operation needs to be shut down. read more

I went to the location listed on Waring Ct, paid an Uber to take me there, to find a note on the door saying " Closed for good." So I am out $30+tips to get no labs done?! It should be someone's job to keep their ads on line current. Wish I had my $30 back. read more

Needed pre-op bloodwork done ASAP so I can get this surgery scheduled. Went to this location right after my doctor wrote the order, so I was a walk-in. I checked in at 10:30am. The place was a zoo, with all chairs taken and patients even waiting outside. The check-in kiosk warned me that I might have to wait 1.5 hours. Since I needed the tests done ASAP, I decided to wait. (I also checked their on-line scheduling portal and saw that the "first available" appointment wasn't until June 9th, almost 2 weeks away). When 2:30pm rolled around (that's right, 4 hours later) I asked "How much longer?". Note that they had closed and locked their doors to walk-ins at 12:30pm, so the only patients remaining were those with appointments or walk-ins who checked in before 12:30pm. The person at the desk looked at my paperwork, typed a few things in his keyboard, then ushered back. When all was said and done, I left LabCorp at 3:00pm - a full 4.5 hours after I had checked in. I should add that my name had progressed up their waiting list to #1 at ~1:00pm. It didn't matter. As a walk-in, I was a second-class citizen, so even if an appointment patient showed up hours after me with a much later appointment time, they went ahead of me and all the other walk-in patients. LabCorp does not care how long the walk-in's have to wait. Walk-in's are not prioritized and will not be serviced until after ALL the appointment patients have been serviced first. And no one on their staff provided updates to the patients waiting - no explanations, no "sorry, we'll get to you as soon as we can", no nothing. The only thing we got from them was the occasional admonishment to "you must sign in on the kiosk first, don't come to the check-in window; we'll call you if we need to". Given this level of service and their policy towards walk-ins, I will never be back to LabCorp. I will also notify my insurance company of their dreadful service. Hopefully my insurance company will take notice and remove them from the list of authorized providers. read more

Absolute cluster. I made an online appointment 2 weeks out for Oceanside location. Apparently they will let you make appointments even though the Oceanside location is closed for business. I even received a confirmation number and took time off at work. The day before my appointment i received a message saying my appointment is canceled. No other info included. I was unable to reach anyone by phone so left another message with vista location for info and suggestions please. No call back from vista either. I decided to fast for 12 hours and to come to vista location in person only to find staff very insensitive to the frustrations lack of info on website and no one available by phone for info. I checked in @630am and checked in via kiosk. I even received a message saying im checked in only to find out the system unknowingly selected an appointment at 10am now and now its 4 hours later and im still waiting read more

Horribly rude, inconsiderate, and demeaning attitude of everyone I came in contact with. Especially the front desk lady who I think was Asian. Everyone here has a massive stick up their *ss. Horrible unprofessional and extremely rude and disrespectful. Just the attitude you can tell they're mad you're even talking to them. I'm sure they'd love to just sit on their *ss all day and do nothing, so they get mad whenever a customer comes in. Jessica was the nicest Phlebotomist I've ever met here at LabCorp! She was awesome on taking my blood I had my fair share but she was so gentle and I didn't even feel a thing!! Other staff were great too but she stood out the most. read more

Terrible service. Will avoid in the future. Dirty, didn't wipe in between patients, visible dust and debris. Sign on door says employee will get you, don't come in. Then after over 20 min an employee says " no one is in here why aren't you coming in" - 7 of us dying slowly outside are flabbergasted. The elderly can't even stand anymore. They just watched us suffer through tinted glass windows. Wasn't better at check in either. Rude, unapologetic, condescending. Just don't. read more

I went in for a walk in appointment for a Quantiferon TB test. My experience went well, the staff was professional (Taylor was my phlebotomist and was very friendly) and I was pretty much in and out. However, it took over a week for my results to come in, usually something that takes one to two days to come in. I was then told by my employer that the results were inconclusive and I would have to either retake the TB test or do a chest Xray at another facility. I opted for the chest xray. read more

It doesn't matter if you have an appointment. There are 30+ people in the lobby, people are standing due to no more seats. They overbook and only have 2 nurses, while the lobby continues to pile up. Avoid this location at all costs if you value your time. My last 1 star review was in 2020, I see nothing has changed in 5 years. SAD! read more

Waiting s##ks but it's life. A significant portion of our life is spent just that but at least make it less boring and disappointing by having TV or magazines to read which they don't have. I was there probably hour and some minutes. The registration lady was friendly and professional. The phlebotomist was great in her job but appears to be unhappy in what she does and that's probably most of us at least fake it. The area was clean and enough sitting area. Lesson learned make an appointment before going there and arrive early morning. read more

The people that work here are efficient and are in a good mood despite the horrible and rude attitude of the patients. I believe most of the bad reviews on here are just people thinking they are the main character of the movie and shouldn't have to wait. It's pretty simple, lots of appointments and walk ins = long wait times. A lot of the questions the patients have could also be solved by just reading a little. I waited 1hr30min without an appointment, yes I have things to do but there wasn't any appointments available online so that just what it is. No reason to get mad and grumpy in the morning. I had a 9:20 appointment to pee in a cup. No blood draw so no technicians time involved. I was checked in at te kiosk before my appointment time. The waiting area had 2 1/2 more people than places to sit. I waited 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before someoe called me up to get the Dr's order and give me a cup. She didn't know how to select the Dr. to send the report to because the address I saw him at was different than the one she found. What I learnd? Apointments don't mean anything at his Laborp. You're in a room full of people and you have no idea who has appointments and who are walkins. Appointments are supposed to take priority but I question if this is the case. The only reason I went to a labcorp was because my referring Dr. insisted. In te future, I would avoid the any chance I have. Good Luck read more

I don't like writing poor reviews, but this definitely wasn't a positive experience. Had to get some blood work done and saw online this location nearby and had an appointment available within the hour. I booked the time, received a confirmation and saw the checkin time was 30 mins prior to the appointment. Thought it would be a breeze, in and out and on my way. That didn't happen. As I arrived, there were numerous people waiting outside the office door as they're only allowing a certain number of customers inside due to Covid restrictions. Not a problem with that policy as this seems to be the new norm. However, I heard through the others waiting, their appointment times were almost an hour ago and they were still waiting. So much for appointments with early checkin. It was upsetting that many patients here were elderly and they had wait outside after making their way to the second floor with walkers, canes and wheelchairs. I went ahead and checked in online and waited. For this bloodwork, I needed to fast, or not eat for 8-12 hours. For me, this isn't normal! So I was in a big hurt leading up to this time already. I knew of another location closer to my house and decided to leave knowing I'd beat some of the afternoon traffic heading home. Good choice. A much better experience there which I'll share soon. I will give kudos to the representative who called about 30 minutes after my appointment time to check in and see if I was still coming. Although I checked in online, there was no way to cancel the appointment that way. I did also hear that their appointment system is new. Hopefully they'll work out the kinks for smoother operations. This LabCorp location is decent. The location is difficult to get in and out of as there's no traffic light. The parking lot is cramped. The building has dangerously wet floors when it rains since it is an open-air building with atrium that allows rain inside. This upstairs location has a drab waiting room. Thanks to COVID, you can now check in on your phone and wait in your car. This is a huge improvement to sitting in the waiting room. The staff up front are somewhat nice. I think they deal with difficult people all day, so they can be a little bit rude at times. Once called in, the phlebotomists I've had in general seem unhappy. They work long hours and seem to be fed up with the job. It's difficult to have an upbeat conversation with them.... read more

This place is the IRL version of a dumpster fire. They are clearly understaffed, poorly trained and just a general mess. The soonest appointment I could book was two weeks out. No issues there, I I understand. I show up 15 minutes early for my appointment in case there's any paperwork. There's mob/line of 10 or so people outside the door. It's unclear who has an appointment or what is really happening. I waited outside until they called for anyone with an 11 pm appointment. At the time it was about 11:10. You can tell the front desk staff is also the back office staff so you can just imagine how successful that is. I finally get seen about 30 minutes past my appointment time. I am sat down and asked questions for a covid blood test. TWICE I explain that I'm not here for a covid test. I don't mind if we do one but that's not the point of my visit. The phlebotomist brushes me off, takes my blood and sends me out. I'm frustrated. I came here for an biometric exam and this doesn't seem like what I came for. Not once did the medical professional here listen to my concerns or what I had to say. It was just take the blood and get out of the chair. So I leave. I go outside and look through my emails to see if maybe I made an error and selected the wrong appointment. Nope. I didn't. So I go back inside and explain. Turns out I needed to print a form in order for them to know I needed that which seems insanely archaic but go off... For clarity, the only reason I went to lab corp instead of my medical professional was because my wellness portal said something along the line of we will get the information sooner if you go to lab corp. A new front desk person offers kindly to print the form and squeeze me in because of the misunderstanding and I'm super grateful. Once again they take me back and I'm waiting again. This time it's a new person. Dawn. The reviews for her on here are glowing but that woman needs to either retire or be put in a box and buried because it's clear she's no longer fit for this role. She takes my measurements and while she does she asks if I'm pregnant. I say no and she responds with "oh so you just look like that." Completely rude and unprofessional. I sit down to have my blood pressure taken and ask if I need to have my feet on the floor. The chair is a little awkward and I just wanted to make sure. She said well maybe, the chair is for oversized people. Again completely unnecessary and out of line. I'm not offended so much as I am concerned for future patients and further why this woman has a license to do anything when he bedside manner is crass and point blank rude for no reason. This place is at the point where it needs to shut down and start over with ground up training on how to speak to people and how to run a business. Lab corp should be genuinely embarrassed and ashamed of how they are operating at this location. The misunderstanding was 100% avoidable and there was no need for me to have my blood drawn twice. 25000/10 do not recommend. read more

Came to the Vista location because it was closest to me. The staff is very friendly and check in is pretty simple. Sign in on kiosk, wait to be called. Very organized system as well. I almost did not come to this location after looking at some reviews but most are older than 5 months. I get a bit anxious at times when I go to a new place but today I felt pretty good and at ease. I will definitely recommend this location to any mommas that have to do the glucose testing and want to go the Fresh test route. The quality of care was exceptional! read more

I believe I was discriminated by labcorp or the labs that process their urine specimens. The first urine test I submitted I was told it came back positive for methadone and I told the woman over the phone that I'm taking methadone legally and I tried giving the letter my doctor provided me to Labcorp but she wouldn't take it because she said I will have to provide it after I get my results. I was also informed I tested positive for marijuana which I accepted even though it had been over a month since I last used THC. I asked the doctor that reported this to me how much is a retest and she responded with a ridiculous lie of $250 when in reality it only costs $40. I believe she was attempting to prevent me from trying again and that is why she told me such a ridiculous amount. Her tone and attitude significantly changed when I explained to her that I have a doctors signed and dated note explaining my methadone use. I was born with Spina Bifida and also a tumor tethered around my lower spine. As a result of the tumor being removed my spinal cord was further damaged and this led to many severe surgeries throughout my life. I used to be on pain management but pills nearly took my life so I was referred to go to a methadone program to manage my pain and keep me from going through intense withdrawal symptoms from the pain medication I have been on my entire life. I feel like she pre-judged me from the methadone because this has happened to me many times before. I have never done heroine or meth and I'm not a drug addict. I attend a methadone clinic because that was decided to be the best pain medication for me without managing serious sedation and having to take multiple pain pills a day. I take a liquid form of methadone once a day and I'm able to tolerate the pain I still have. I'm also allergic to morphine and codeine. I accepted my results the first and I paid for and scheduled another drug test at a later date so I could buy over 15 home drug tests from two different brands that I researched to be very accurate and reliable. Both brands said I was negative for the presence of THC. I took another drug test and followed Labcorp's instructions exactly. I woke up and I didn't eat anything heavy I just had some grapefruit and I drank one cup of coffee. When I arrived for my scheduled drug test I drank a small cup of water while I waited. I was told I'd get my results in two to three business days. I took my test on a Monday and I just got my results back which read my urine was too diluted and I was repeatedly accused of drinking too much water. Last time I also didn't get my results at the time I was assured I would either. It is impossible that my urine was too diluted because I only drank a small disposable cup of water. I worked very hard to complete this class and I just want to be a productive member of society and not waste away on disability anymore. Now that's been taken away from me and I have no hope I'll ever be able to get another chance. If you have a choice of where you take your pre-employment drug test do not go to LabCorp because I believe they discriminate against people who are on medications they don't agree with. read more

Based on the feel I got from the conversation, there have been a number of changes with regard to service, and folks are trying to turn things around. Speaking specifically of my experience this week, there were two items that I felt deserved explicit callout. First, my lab paperwork was not filled out completely by my Doctor, and the lady at the desk tried in vain to get the correct information. Figuring that this was going to be a dead end, I started to leave, but a gentleman, James, whom I later learned was the supervisor, stopped me (while on a call) and asked me to wait so that he could try to help. After he finished with the lady he was helping, he proceeded to call my Doctor, cut right to the chase with the information that he needed, and proceeded to get my paperwork sorted out right then and there. James went way beyond normal customer service to help me, and he succeeded in helping me. Second, the lady who drew my blood, Dawn, was absolutely fantastic. She performed the withdrawal with nothing more than a tiny pinch (she actually knows how to do it properly without pain) and filled several vials without any pain whatsoever. Not only that, she held a fantastic conversation while doing it! I get that a place like this could have absolutely awful customer service, and I would wager that the thankless job of dealing with problem situations like mine all day could beat the niceness out of you. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait long, I checked in and was seen within 10 minutes. Jess was the girl drawing my blood she was very professional, helpful, & friendly. I got dizzy & nauseous when she was taking my blood so we stopped and she was very accommodating. She got me water, an ice pack. Her and her colleagues Mel & Megan were very helpful, they brought me to a room where I could lay down and finish my blood work. After we finished was still feeling sick so they helped with getting me water & tried doing everything they could to help me. Jess, Megan, & Mel were amazing! They made me feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. read more

This clinic is strictly functional. Not inviting, not pretty.... Kind of reminds me of a planned parenthood office, but with senior citizens instead of teenagers. The receptionist was polite enough, but I felt pressured to pay up front, when we usually request to be billed (pay afterwards with our HSA card). She seemed disappointed, not to get paid right then and there. The technician who drew my blood was friendly and had a soft touch. She listened to my request for a butterfly needle instead of the standard size. The only reason I came to this office is because I didn't want to drive all the way down to my primary...
