I believe I was discriminated by labcorp or the labs that process their urine specimens. The first urine test I submitted I was told it came back positive for methadone and I told the woman over the phone that I'm taking methadone legally and I tried giving the letter my doctor provided me to Labcorp but she wouldn't take it because she said I will have to provide it after I get my results. I was also informed I tested positive for marijuana which I accepted even though it had been over a month since I last used THC. I asked the doctor that reported this to me how much is a retest and she responded with a ridiculous lie of $250 when in reality it only costs $40. I believe she was attempting to prevent me from trying again and that is why she told me such a ridiculous amount. Her tone and attitude significantly changed when I explained to her that I have a doctors signed and dated note explaining my methadone use. I was born with Spina Bifida and also a tumor tethered around my lower spine. As a result of the tumor being removed my spinal cord was further damaged and this led to many severe surgeries throughout my life. I used to be on pain management but pills nearly took my life so I was referred to go to a methadone program to manage my pain and keep me from going through intense withdrawal symptoms from the pain medication I have been on my entire life. I feel like she pre-judged me from the methadone because this has happened to me many times before. I have never done heroine or meth and I'm not a drug addict. I attend a methadone clinic because that was decided to be the best pain medication for me without managing serious sedation and having to take multiple pain pills a day. I take a liquid form of methadone once a day and I'm able to tolerate the pain I still have. I'm also allergic to morphine and codeine. I accepted my results the first and I paid for and scheduled another drug test at a later date so I could buy over 15 home drug tests from two different brands that I researched to be very accurate and reliable. Both brands said I was negative for the presence of THC. I took another drug test and followed Labcorp's instructions exactly. I woke up and I didn't eat anything heavy I just had some grapefruit and I drank one cup of coffee. When I arrived for my scheduled drug test I drank a small cup of water while I waited. I was told I'd get my results in two to three business days. I took my test on a Monday and I just got my results back which read my urine was too diluted and I was repeatedly accused of drinking too much water. Last time I also didn't get my results at the time I was assured I would either. It is impossible that my urine was too diluted because I only drank a small disposable cup of water. I worked very hard to complete this class and I just want to be a productive member of society and not waste away on disability anymore. Now that's been taken away from me and I have no hope I'll ever be able to get another chance. If you have a choice of where you take your pre-employment drug test do not go to LabCorp because I believe they discriminate against people who are on medications they don't agree with. read more

What a wasted of time. You will requiere 4 hours to be seen front desk receptionist takes hours to call me in. Something that's should be done quick read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait long, I checked in and was seen within 10 minutes. Jess was the girl drawing my blood she was very professional, helpful, & friendly. I got dizzy & nauseous when she was taking my blood so we stopped and she was very accommodating. She got me water, an ice pack. Her and her colleagues Mel & Megan were very helpful, they brought me to a room where I could lay down and finish my blood work. After we finished was still feeling sick so they helped with getting me water & tried doing everything they could to help me. Jess, Megan, & Mel were amazing! They made me feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. read more

This clinic is strictly functional. Not inviting, not pretty.... Kind of reminds me of a planned parenthood office, but with senior citizens instead of teenagers. The receptionist was polite enough, but I felt pressured to pay up front, when we usually request to be billed (pay afterwards with our HSA card). She seemed disappointed, not to get paid right then and there. The technician who drew my blood was friendly and had a soft touch. She listened to my request for a butterfly needle instead of the standard size. The only reason I came to this office is because I didn't want to drive all the way down to my primary... Sharp Rancho Bernardo for routine fasting-state lab work. I would not recommend coming here unless you have an appointment and could be in and out ASAP. read more

Have to make appointment couple weeks out and then have to wait over an hour. I miss Kaiser lab experience.

Getting blood work can be an uncomfortable process to begin with, and this place does nothing to help minimize anxieties. I walked out and left this office to go to another location because the front desk staff were so incredibly rude to everyone. I'd recommend the San Marcos location; they're fast and kind. read more

My phlebotomist Dawn was the NICEST and most professional phlebotomist I've ever had. I would love to special request her every time. The wait time at this facility is out of control and I probably would have given them a 2-star just for that aspect, but fortunately the staff is very nice so it balances out in the end. Someone please thank Dawn for being awesome, she's definitely a superstar. (This 5-star is for Dawn, 4-star for the facility overall and a 2-star for the wait time so make sure you have an appointment.) read more

The lab technician with neck and hand tattoos is super rude. But go figure, sometimes you can judge a book by its cover.

I'm giving a five star review to Sara and the lady with the blue rose!!!! I have a clinical background and talk about professionals! My son never listens, never and I told him to lay down as it was a fasting lab and better safe than sorry. He didn't and fainted and it wasn't fun. The gal with the blue rose saw it from down the hallway, responded better than I could have while Sara went above and beyond. I was waiting for a email to review from management that was never received. I can tell you team is amazing but I would change things to make them more efficient and decrease the wait and provide amazing phlebotomy. If you want help, email me, first one is free and the second one you pay Labcorp. Scoates@patientstudyconnect.com read more

I went in to do my urine drug test for employment and after waiting an hour they called my name. When they saw I had my son with me they said I couldn't take the test. I said he won't go in with me and he will be right outside the door. I've been waiting for over an hour and this drug test will take 30 seconds, I had to pee so bad. So after an hour waiting (closer to an hour and a half) they said because I had my child with me I couldn't take the test. I said you couldn't have told me when I got here at 12 and waited the whole time. They said sorry, but then she started to get an attitude with me which is thought was the most rude part. I checked in and walked up to the counter twice with my son and the girl that took my ID and paperwork knew I was there for the urine test and didn't say anything to me about having my child with me. They have low counters for wheelchair accessibility so she saw my son both times that I went to the counter. read more

You don't need an appointment to come in (although at times, it's nice to have one if it's crowded!). The staff are all incredibly friendly and if your medical provider sends in the orders electronically, all you have to is walk in...they'll invoice you for any copayment you may have, and generally get you in incredibly fast. I've never ever had a problem here, and even when I have made an appointment on the website, it's usually super easy (and I'm not always the most tech savvy person in the world!). Also, if your doctor puts in orders at LabCorp, unless it's for something specialized, like employer drug screening or pediatric testing, you can literally walk into any LabCorp that is open, give them your name and your information, and they'll take care of you. So if you have an appointment across the county and may not be able to make it back to your local LabCorp, just hit their website up and look for the nearest location. Some locations even have Saturday appointments available (these are kit walk-in days unfortunately, but they will accommodate a busy work or school schedule!) The staff is knowledgeable, compassionate, they accept all kinds of insurance, and you don't have to have an appointment to be seen. Making an appointment is incredibly easy though, and the calendar feature works on my iPhone, which makes it easier still to keep up with my healthcare needs! I'd recommend their services enthusiastically...I've yet to have a bad experience yet...appointment or not - and I've used this location for years now! Whatever they're doing here, it's working...and they're also VERY gentle with their sticks...so my arm doesn't end up feeling like it's been through a processing mill once I leave. Make sure you're properly hydrated, and those veins will stick out just fine - I've got super small arms and My veins like to roll, but I haven't yet had to be poked more than one time to get the testing I require done. LabCorp is professional, has an impeccably clean office, compassionate and kind staff, and they make your visit as easy on you as possible. If you do happen to have an appointment, you can even use their kiosk to check yourself in so your wait time is reduced even more when you arrive. That's great customer service!!! read more

I think they lost my blood! I say "I think," because I can't actually get anyone to answer the phone or respond to my emails to confirm. But two and a half weeks after I had my blood drawn, their system shows no sign of the test having been conducted. And I can't get any answers. It's very upsetting because this is a time-sensitive prenatal test for fetal abnormalities. I literally have one day left for having the test done, or it may not be possible to detect any issues. But nobody is helping me figure this out. If I end up with a child with issues that could have been detected by this test that was supposed to be done, I'll have to take legal action. This issue, and the lack of customer service response to resolve it, is extremely alarming. read more

VERY rude front office staff. They are not helpful or willing to answer questions or give any assistance whatsoever. Do not recommend this location solely based off how rude the front office staff is. read more

My only complaint is that the staff that does the intake Are so unfriendly and militant that it makes the experience of going there annoying they would like this before the covid outbreak. The staff has to be reminded that even though patients are assigned to that lab it's still a business And the staff should be nicer Most of the blood takers are OK I guess if I had a choice I probably would not go there read more

Staff has always been able to draw my blood samples. Seems like I go there every 6 mos! Sometimes I make appts, sometimes I am walk-in. Never hesitant to return. read more

I made an appointment for my high risk mother. We arrived to find 15 plus people standing outside without instructions on how to sign in or any other procedure during the Covid pandemic. Multiple people entered the building and the staff never disinfected the door and all hand gel were empty. As we were standing outside waiting for some type of directions a staff member came out and was very rude to people waiting. I felt so uncomfortable and truly at risk for exposure to C19, I left with her. Needless to say, I am now at Quest lab who have been ten times cleaner and professional. We originally came to LabCorp-Vista because my mother is on a fixed income and it's less expensive. Forget all about that, I'll pay the extra to have peace of mind and safety. read more

I have spent many hours in this lab, as a cancer patient undergoing chemo, and it just was what it was. Even with an appointment, the wait was long and it was always crowded. Today was my first experience since Covid, and it was fantastic! I checked in from my car, 15 mins later I got a call, "Come on in, we're ready for you!" The flibotomist met me at the door, in and out, start to finish, 25 minutes! Not everyone can schedule their lab tests, but if you can...I have to say, this experience (and the DMV!!!) have been greatly improved! I know!! Everything thing else sucks, but this was great, good job Labcorp! Also, everyone was wearing a mask, which we all should keep doing forever in places where everyone is sick, just saying. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had as a health care worker. In theory they should be able to socially distance by making appointments on line and keeping everyone apart. They made everyone wait outside and wouldn't answer any questions. They are over an hour behind and all the staff have snotty attitudes and roll their eyes at you. There is no social distancing outside, but I guess they aren't responsible if you get exposed outside. read more

This place is so bad!! I have no idea what happened, it used to be so efficient and I've attempted going two times in the past month and it's been a fail. Dawn and at front desk is RUDE and there's always a room FULL of people, sometimes even a line going outside. I waited a whole month for an appointment although apparently it doesn't matter bc even when I showed up for my appointment they said it was going to be LONG. Dawn says my drs office didn't submit the lab order and got very upset that it wasn't coded, called my drs office right after and they said yes they indeed did submit the order, CODED, I ended up having to walk out from my scheduled appointment bc I had to leave for work did not expect to be waiting for who knows how long. I also mentioned to them I have been trying to call their phone for weeks but I can never get thru, DAWN says "oh our phone works perfectly fine, we just don't have the time to answer it ever" this place is a joke, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE read more

Today I finally had my appointment foe some lab work. This location does not have a kiosk foe checking in. My orders were not here; I had to have my Dr's office fax them over. It seemed the woman who helped me was either overworked or just not enjoying her job. Then the person who took my blood caused great stinging when she poked me-due to alcohol I guess. Maybe if she had used iodine--do they still do that? Or given a moment to let it dry? This is the first time ever a blood test has hurt. I will try another location. This service at this one has gone way downhill. read more

Made an appointment, got the online check in link, they texted me when it was my turn. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Horrible place, you are waiting forever. It s hot and smelly. Staff at the front desk is rude and unprofessional!.

Horrible! I've had to go to this location multiple times over that last few months. This last visit takes the cake! They are super rude to everyone and have absolutely no organization for handling people coming in. Yes the sign on the door says no more than 6-7 people in the lobby but no one reads that sign. They yell at every one that tries to enter with or without an appointment. I had an appointment at 12:15 the other day. I checked in online. The line outside was super long and they were still seeing people from 11:45 appointments. I waited an hour. I'm 6 months pregnant and have a lot of back pain. They had the audacity to call me and tell me they couldn't see me that day because they closed at 2:30! It was 1pm??? The website says they close at 4 and so did the flyer from the docs office! I had not eaten since 8 am that morning in preparation for my glucose test. I was so light headed but they said they couldn't see me! Unbelievable! After I left I was able to get same day appointment at a location a little over 5 miles away. On the ride there this location had the balls to call me multiple times on my cell. I didn't want to hear anything they had to say ! Never go to this location people! Drive the distance to their other locations or go to a different lab company! If I could rate this location as a minus zero I would! read more

While the nurses are nice, the appointment and scheduling is in complete disarray. I made an appointment for 945. I have been sitting here for 1 hour and 10 minutes for my appointment. I went online to make an appointment and hoped it would speed up the process. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Every single time Ive come here regardless of time of day over the last few years, the wait is INSANE. I waited outside for 1.5 hours today even though I arrived 15 min after opening. The process is inefficient and I cant believe they have not extended their hours or gotten more staff. There are 9 posted papers on their entry door making it difficult for anyone to understand instructions as to what to do. The saddest part is there were several handicap ppl and elderly who arrived and there is no outdoor seating for them to wait. UNACCEPTABLE. Staff is kind but this place is a MESS. read more

Under staffed and inadequate seating, translating into uncomfortable wait times. A woman with an appointment (I was a walk-in) said that she had been there over an hour. She had been one of the first to enter when it opened. At that point, I just left. read more

Highly competent and thorough staff. Warm, intelligent, detail and customer service oriented. Highly recommend!

This office is beyond inefficient. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They all walk around in circles aimlessly. And at lunch time, they all go to lunch instead of staggering lunch breaks. I think I can get better service in a third world country. This place should be shut down. Two employees sat there counting people repeatedly as they said they need to justify getting more staff. How about working more efficiently with the staff you have. Never seen such a poor run operation in my life. Manager at this location is clueless and should be fired. read more

I wish I had checked other patients' comments before going to my 10:30 AM appointment this morning. Just as stated by many other people you have to wait standing outside the door to the lab because there is only space for one person to sit outside. I had to wait from 10:15 to 11:10 AM standing outside the door, check in and wait another 10 minutes to get my blood drawn. From now on I will go to another lab! read more

Here we go again, during covid this location got bad, they fixed it but here we are again. First of all, what happened to the appointment system? Why make an appointment if the front desk does not know how to work this technology? Went there with an appt (btw it took me weeks to schedule) checked in earlier than my appointment. Usually it takes a few minutes after checking in online but this time 20 minutes later and nothing. I decided to go in person and asked. They looked at me like they had no idea that they have an appointment system. They were completely a mess. They claimed that they did not see my name even though is on my phone. One of them kept asking for help from the other while the other was screaming at patients and letting people in before those of us with an Appointment. I understand that many places are under staff but we are paying for a service, is not like is free. At least train Your employees better on their system and to work on customer service. This place is a mess. Its makes the DMV look like a 5 star hotel. Completely disorganized. The front desk lady was sharp and rude to me. I'm a senior and I need a little help sometimes. I told her I had an appointment and she snapped back "check in on your phone". I said I don't have it on my phone. She said "so put it on your phone". Did I say she was rude to me? Ya, i did. I went to my car to put it on my phone. I could not find an app for this. I gave up. I left. Side note. I made an appointment for the Encinias location. WOW, they were incredible from start to finish. And I didn't have to use my phone, YA. read more

I normally don't like writing bad reviews, but I've had it today. Receptionist were very friendly and helpful but my visit turn to worse when the phlebotomist started being rude. I've been coming to this Labcorp for years but this is the first time I've been treated so badly. I mean I get it they're busy but you don't have to be rude at your patients. It's started when the reddish haired phlebotomist told me to put hang up my purse and my jacket up on the hook with such a snotty voice and I just didn't mind it. But then she started tapping my arms and her tone of voice changed to sounding like annoyed since she can't find any veins. She said that I should've drank some water before coming in so my veins are more visible. But then she continue with my right arm and she started shoving and poking the needle in and out of my arm. At this point my arm is already in so much pain so I told her that forget it and I'll just come back next time. I honestly will not come back to this location unless it's my only choice. I'd rather drive extra miles to another location to get better service. read more

Had to get blood work. 20 people waiting outside. They are 1.5-2 hours behind schedule. Place is a nightmare. Avoid if possible.

This place is like hell. Like the DMV. No matter what time u come there are lines. Arrived b4 they opened at 6:20am. They called the first patient at 6:53 and sat around doing nothing. Very poor customer service. If I didn't love my pcp I would change insurances jus so we didn't have to come to labcorp. Techs are nice once your back but clearly they had one person here from 6:30-7am read more

People waiting outside with no communication from the inside. All they have to do is when they come outside to call people for appointments make an announcement...let people know that if you have an apt we will come out and call your name and no need to check in. If you do not have an apt you will probably not get in at this location as they do not take walk ins due to Covid. Their website provides false information for hours etc...if they updated it people would be better informed. When I finally got inside the phlebotomist called my name. She had gloves on when she opened the door. She sat me in the chair, moved the tray in front of me touched the computer screen asked me my name and birth date then put the strap around my arm and touched my arm to feel for a vein. All with the same glove she just used to open the entrance door and the computer screen and tray. I asked her to change her gloves and wipe my arm with alcohol (which they always do)because she touched it with dirty gloves. She made an excuse that she touched the computer screen with a different finger to check my information. I'm pretty sure i will not be going back to this location. read more

I get the restrictions that facilities have to abide by, given the pandemic, but the system at this place is seriously flawed. Virtually every client was confused about check in, and no staff member was readily available to answer questions. The website says walk-ins are available, but sign on the door says otherwise. This is my second visit here. Last time was the same. If I need lab work again, I'll ask my doctor to refer elsewhere. Avoid. read more
