I arrived at 8:00 AM as a walk-in patient and have now been waiting for over two hours. During this time, I asked the front desk several times about the queue, and each time I was told to keep waiting because there were patients with appointments ahead of me. However, what I observed is that the system here does not seem to consider walk-in patients at all. Even if someone arrives later for a 9:30 appointment, they are still placed ahead of walk-in patients who have already been waiting since early morning. This means that walk-in patients' time is continuously pushed back, and effectively our time is being wasted. What is even more concerning is that when I tried to ask about this situation, the staff responded by saying that I was "arguing." English is not my first language, but asking reasonable questions about the process should not be interpreted as arguing. Instead of addressing the issue with the system or explaining how walk-in patients are handled, multiple staff members seemed to focus on criticizing me for asking questions. It felt like I was being treated unfairly simply because I was trying to understand the situation and advocate for walk-in patients. After waiting here for two hours, I was even told that I should go somewhere else. That is extremely frustrating and unfair after such a long wait. I believe the current system is not respectful of walk-in patients' time, and the way this situation was handled--especially toward someone who is not a native English speaker--is very disappointing. I hope this concern can be taken seriously and that the process for walk-in patients can be improved so others do not have to experience the same situation. read more

My experience at blood draw clinics has not been pleasant and I had braced myself for a visit. It ended up being super efficient and pleasant. Self checking took seconds and then the phlebotomist came out in minutes. She was friendly, cheerful and knew what she was doing. Easy peasy! Just the way it should be. read more

Stopped by for my annual biometric screening. I had an appointment at 9AM and arrived 15min before my appointment. Check-in was a breeze using the QR code from the email confirmation. I was seen at 8:50AM and was out the door at 9:10AM. The nurse helping me was friendly and efficient - weight, height, blood pressure, and blood draw all in one visit. I've seen a lot of Labcorp locations receive negative reviews (some deservedly). But I could not have had a better experience at this one on Hamilton. Literally I left in a better mood than when I arrived. I got there 20 minutes before opening, as did two other patients. The clinic opened on time and all of us who were there early were seen right away. And the staff members were friendly and helpful. Five stars for sure. read more

If you have multiple orders they seem to forget to draw half of them. They don't check their work to ensure all labs orders are done. They request you call the doctors office to resend when in fact they already have it but overlooked it. But I guess it's the easiest thing to do instead of searching their own system first. They perhaps need to check before they draw blood that they have the orders right instead of drawing first and then realizing they have forgotten. So make sure you check ur orders before u leave. The staff are generally nice . A couple are grumpy . They need to find a place where they can enjoy their work and serve others with a smile. read more

As someone who hates blood draws to the point to seeing blood drawn on tv makes my skin crawl, they did a great job. About as painless and quick as I could have hoped for. I've never been to this LabCorp before, and the people working inside were incredibly friendly although they did have an issue with their Internet at the time. Apparently AT&T had a nationwide outage so it was not just them. They were very conscientious of how many people should be inside the office at all times and would politely ask the third person to wait outside in the lobby area until they were called. I felt incredibly safe and not rushed while getting my blood drawn. I am a little queasy when it comes to needles but the gentleman taking my blood was incredibly nice and professional about it. read more

My experience at this Labcorp has been great. I've been here twice during the weekdays and it has never been busy. I used self check in and waited less than five minutes for my turn. The service was great and the phlebotomist that had done my blood work was really nice and friendly. My veins are really thin and hard to find, but he did a great job. I even got stickers in the end even though I'm 37 :) This location will always be my go to instead of the chaotic one on Forest. read more

Came recently as a walk-in. Was the first customer to arrive that day. Lady at the reception was kind to let me check in smoothly, took my lab work without much pain and quite efficiently. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Within the day, I got all my results back and they had sent it to my doctor too. There is ample parking available outside. They are in the same location as a Healthcare center In the first floor. Highly recommend this particular center for lab work. Plz book an appointment before going there. read more

This is my main LabCorp location since I need to get my blood work done regularly, plus it's literally a few minutes from work. Granted they only have two people working the desk AND phlebotomy tasks, etc., they do do their best. They now have two new check-in kiosks instead of checking in at the desk. You need your driver's license and insurance card to scan. Once you're done, you're queued up in line. It's not who arrives there first, it's who checks in first at the kiosk, as someone complained about. (Rolling my eyes) TLDR At my most recent visit, there was a lady patient who was upset because her urine sample spilled in the bag when she had to break suddenly because a truck pulled in front of her and was concerned it wasn't going to be valid; plus she specified she needed to get another analysis and needed it before the other analysis but the tech didn't receive the order. Anyway, they try not to let things escalate because the patient gets upset over something the tech has no control over. read more

Sigh. Used to be my go to lab for any tests but I won't be going back. They claim walk ins are accepted and that used to be the case. However today I went in and the two clearly overworked people there were just rude that I had the nerve to walk in without an appointment. Was told it would be a half hour to 40 minutes because of appointments. More than an hour later I gave up and left. On top of that there is no one there to ask questions or get info from, just a machine for checkin. And the tiny waiting room is a cesspool of germs from people, clearly sick people, hacking and coughing and mask free. It was just gross. read more

I've been here twice in the past 3 weeks to get bloodwork/urine tests done, and everything has been easy and straightforward! The walk-in wait time does take a while- I waited an hour the first time (on a Friday) and 30 minutes the second time (on a Wednesday). However, that's to be expected for lab work to be done. The workers were all kind and professional and they made everything easy to understand. They not only are the receptionists, but the people doing the blood work and collecting all the samples, so kudos to them for juggling all the paperwork and lab work! The location was good, though the check-in procedures were clunky. I forgot my insurance card, and I had to retrieve all of my very specific group number and policy number information on my own with no assistance whatsoever. Which wouldn't have been AS big a deal except I had to pee (for the test, so I timed it) and I was starving (for the other test), so I wasn't in a really great mental place at this point. I've been to many labcorps at diff locations and they have taken my insurance and my blood work is done quickly and efficiently. For some reason, I've been here for an hour and they are still trying to figure out my insurance, even though I told them that I do these tests routinely and just had them done last week at a Labcorp and insurance always covers. But the front desk seems inexperienced with billing and is taking a long time to figure it out. read more

My experience in general with Lab Corp has been good but this particular location has rude and snappy staff. Arrived at 8:40 am to get blood drawn, male nurse, Marvy, processed our paperwork and we got a summary of payments due. When I asked for clarity around the percentage covered by insurance and my copay, Marvy got really aggressive saying he didn't know anything about insurance, he had no clue was insurance was. He didn't stop at that, he was consistently snappy with a condescending attitude throughout. I could see veins popping in his head, he was raring for a fist fight because I asked how much my copay was :) In summary, the service was really unprofessional. The one star is a rating for someone who is getting their blood drawn for the first time. I went in confident but nervous. I had to wait about 35 min to see the doctor, and when I did, he told me that he had been drawing blood for 25 years and to "just calm down," which obviously made me freak out more. I was trying to talk to him about the process, which helps me feel better, and he was just flying through all the steps trying to get me in and out. Ended up leaving the patient room crying and didn't get my blood drawn. Will not be going back. Going to shop around for somewhere with more compassionate doctors. :'( read more

The reason I go to this LabCorp is the convenient location and the staff does what is necessary to get the job done. Period. On entering you see what might look like a counter for signing in, but it's not. There are two kiosk machines to the right that every one must use (no signing in without touching the same keyboards everyone else uses and I saw no wipes nearby to wipe off the keyboards.) The kiosk machines were fairly intuitive to use for people familiar with such, but others needed help and required staff assistance, which was offered in an impatient manner. One person remarked that he was surprised we didn't also have to draw our own blood. That summed up the atmosphere-- not friendly or professional. But they do collect what they need for lab work and will give you the answers you need if you ask. Just don't expect them to do anything with a smile. read more

If you use this place you better use the self-check in because there may not be anybody behind the desk to talk to you for a long time. Unluckily for me, I only came in to pick up a colon cancer FIT test which you cannot use self check in for and by then I was sixth in line for service. Quick, fast, easy with a smile. For some reason this labcorp is not listed on the handouts or recommended by doctors offices even though it's listed on their website. Service was quick and lines short. The technician was precise in getting samples of blood and didn't even leave a mark on my arm! If you're in San Jose and need blood work and urinalysis done I was in and out 15 minutes tops. Highly recommended as an alternative to labcorp at other sites. read more

I have one complaint in particular: you call the LabCorp customer service number, they NEVER pick up. You leave a message with your number. They will NOT call you back, so don't bother. I called ahead to see if they had received my doctor's blood test order, no answer. Left a message, no return. Went to my appointment, no order could be found. Very frustrating. I just wish they wouldn't pretend they have customer service because they don't. read more

Dissatisfied. Posted hours on the door indicate they are closed for lunch from 12 to 1:PM. I got there about 1:10 and they were still closed. I waited 10 minutes until 1:20 and they were still closed for lunch. Went to Walgreens across the parking lot and did some shopping. Came back and there were 10 people ahead of me. I was just dropping off a specimen and didn't make an appointment, but they made me sign in and get in line, took another 45 minutes to get them to receive the specimen. Their policies and procedures suck, and the workers are not smart enough to improve efficiency. I will not be using this location again. read more

This is my regular place for blood draws. The staff is generally nice and hard working but they are sooooooo understaffed it's ridiculous. I feel bad for the employees here. I'm here with 7 people and 1 employee and more people walking in dropping stuff off. An hour for a blood draw is terrible. This place need better management. read more

This is my go-to place for labwork. I have only had one other place that had an awesome phlebotomist. I have never had an issue with check in or wait times (except when it was busy, and I decided to drop in without an appointment.) Today was not different! Both people at the desk greeted me with a smile,and my paperwork was processed efficiently. I have never seen the check in issues others had. Personally, I want a lab to take their time and enter my information correctly! I have had the same gentleman draw my blood most of the time I have been there. He made sure I knew what was happening, and made sure the site was clean, and the supplies he needed were within easy reach. I did not even notice when he changed vials, and he didn't even use the butterfly catheter! He sent me away with instructions to prevent bruising and excessive bleeding, and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I have a slight needle anxiety, even though I am heavily inked, and work around needles in my line of work. I never had any issues here, and have been going here at least twice a year since 2009. read more

I HATE this lab. It takes them a ridiculously long time to get results back for anything. The wait is terrible. The front desk guy is kinda rude to everyone and generally makes you feel uncomfortable when you go in (so glad he didn't do my blood draw!). There is never more than one person being helped at a time, and for some reason, it takes 20 minutes alone to just do their paperwork. I'm very happy with this location. I came here for my gestational diabetes test so they had to draw my blood 3 times over the corse of 2 hours. You also needs to know I have small veins and always get poked multiple times when I try to give blood. The nurse called Joletha Taylor has done a fantastic job finding my veins on the 1st try for each blood draw! This is a 1st for me so I'm very impressed with her skills. And on top of it she is very nice and helpful! So overall even though this is a very uncomfortable test she made it very easy for me :) read more
