Having a blood test has been my mom's fear for years. She has a great nurse that does a great job at drawing blood so when she came here to visit and it was time to do another test for her doctor to see results, she got very nervous again. However, Jessica did everything painlessly in less than 2 minutes, which was incredible. The process of making an appointment and getting the result is very seamless. They allow walk-ins but making an appointment is highly encourage. My mom booked 8am appointment, took care of the payment, and got out no later than 8:15am. I was told the result would be available around 12-1pm the next day, but it was already emailed to me before 8am the next day. You can stop by to get the hard copy if you'd like. The office is warm and cozy. Overall I'm so happy that my mom had a very good experience here with Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, for your amazing skill and making my mom comfortable!

She felt comfortable giving medical advice from passing a test from memorizing answers. I stated again we are here in order from a medical doctor. This is the problem today. This person does not care for my dad or seen his bloodwork, but comfortable overriding medical orders. Who does that?

No one in the waiting room appeared frustrated for any reason. I also found the wait after checking in to be quite short. The phlebotomist was easy to interact with, and was happy to explain specifics about my blood draw. Finally, I very happy she was able to draw my blood on her first try (yes, I've encountered ones who did not--so this is important to me!). In all, I definitely will return here to complete future lab work.

I'm self-pay, which means no insurance The doctor and the phlebotomist at the doctors office said when you get the bill, tell them that yourself pay you have no insurance Here's what LabCorp does, which is completely unethical! When you call LabCorp because you're self-pay and there's no insurance and you tell them this, they are first going to offer you a percentage discount. You have to decline that discount. You have to specifically say I want self-pay pricing. Even if you start out saying self-pay pricing, they will still offer you a discount, you have to decline and keep pushing for the self-pay pricing. I did not know this on my first two bills. I end up telling my doctor I want to use a different lab company because the one that they're using out of their doctors office which is LabCorp is too expensive. My doctor states, they're one of the cheapest around. Here's the self-pay pricing list. Take a picture of it. I go ahead and decide to get blood work for the third time. When I get the bill, I call LabCorp. I explained to the gentleman that I want to go over my bill because my doctor is telling me one price and the bill says a different price. And that I wanna pay for it myself because I have no insurance. The very rude lab Corp. representative tells me "the price is the price." I say, sir, "I think that you're billing me insurance prices and I don't have the insurance " He says "no these are the regular prices you're not getting insurance prices cause you have no insurance and the price is the price." On my fifth call in one day to LabCorp I finally get a competent representative that explains the system to me and tells me you have to specifically ask for self pay pricing, decline their first offer of a discount which doesn't come anywhere close to the self-pay pricing, keep insisting for the self-pay pricing, and hopefully you get self-pay A completely unethical company!

Waiting room is always full, and no one seems to be calling people back for tests. Twice now I signed in, and waited 15-20 minutes without my name even being called to checkin at the front desk. Usually its a few minutes at most. A person was called back to get their blood drawn maybe once every 10-15 minutes...its bizzare. Both times I had to leave after waiting 45+ minutes with no luck- I just couldn't wait all day. I have no clue why this location seems to run like the DMV but I would avoid at all costs. Theres a location in Jollyville not much further thats way better. Go there.

I have recurrent labs that must be done so having a great location & fast results is important. The staff that checks you in and the folks who draw the labs are great. You get in and out quickly and it's painless on my easily overstimulated brain, my veins, and arm. The friendly staff that checks you in is the cherry on top. They always are friendly and smiling. Although they close earlier than other CPL locations, I prefer to come here for the reasons noted in the review and because other locations have lost my tubes, took the wrong labs, and just were unhappy to be working. Tiffany had everything ready and organized, she found the vein quicker than anybody else we've experienced before. She was super quick, organized, effective, and made great conversation! Tiffany was also training another employee during the process but it didn't slow her down or cause any impediment. We waited about 10 minutes after check in to be called in by the doctor. Doctor came and said everything is fine. Told her about the nasty cough and then she check his lungs again more intently. Tested hi. For strep and sent us home. From check in to exit was total 30 minutes. By the time we got him the result was in and prescription sent to pharmacy. No one called us to discuss the result or that there is a prescription to pickup. Neither the nurse or doctor asked us how we were or greeted us. Quite transactional. Super wired.

Urdanka is the most amazing phlebotomist. As someone who has to have labs frequently, I'm…read morestill...and always will be...get nervous prior to draws. Urdanka knows me, calms me, and successfully gets vials with barely leaving a mark on my arm. I've had several horrible experiences before; multiple attempted jabs, bruise the size of an orange, etc. (including at an oncologist's office!). Using CPL is also very convenient. They don't take appointments, so just walk in. All of my physicians can send orders to one place, so its "one stop shopping" so-to-speak. The read return times are also record fast. And, CPL recently created a "patient" portal that provides easy access to your results without having to be contacted by your doctor. To address a few comments/complaints some others have made: Yes, there is usually only one person in the office. If that person is with a person they are not able to answer the phone. I advice employing a little patience. Someone will pick up. Simply call back. After using this location for almost five years, I have NEVER seen more than two other people waiting...never. I have never spent longer than 20 minutes from start to finish. Color me perplexed. As a [unfortunate] "regular," I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
