I took my dad in for his lab work. The blood drawer started giving my dad medical advice. I intervened and stated he had a doctor and you cannot change his orders. She stated more medical advice. I asked her to stop. She came at me with an attitude and I gave it right back to her. I kept reminding her she was not a doctor. It costs $1000 to be a blood drawer. She felt comfortable giving medical advice from passing a test from memorizing answers. I stated again we are here in order from a medical doctor. This is the problem today. This person does not care for my dad or seen his bloodwork, but comfortable overriding medical orders. Who does that? read more

They never sent a bill and now almost a year later I am getting a letter for collections. Why not send a couple letters before sending off to collections? Will find other lab services in the future. I have been coming to this particular CPL for over five years now. I have to get fasting bloodwork done every few months, and it's my treat once I finish up here to go to summermoon coffee right down the road. I usually can only make it here around my work schedule on Friday mornings, and it's always very busy. The staff tries their best to get all patients checked in/out as quickly as possible. Tons of seating which is mostly occupied but never feels like super over crowded. I always feel like the staff here deserves tiffs treats to be delivered because of how many patients they have and the staff does their very best from every single time I've been. It's not anyone's favorite thing to have lab work done but the staff does their best. I will say making an appointment to be seen in advance does make a difference for less of a wait - so if you're wanting to make everyone's time efficient, including yours - schedule your lab work in advance! read more

The people working here are always friendly but I imagine this place is where you go when you go to hell. Why...WHY does it take so long to draw people's blood? The lobby is always full of people waiting. I've sat here for 30 minutes and have only just now gotten to the desk to give them my ID and insurance card (for the 500th time). Why do you need my ID and my insurance every single time?? I'm still the same exact person I was on my DL 3 months ago. They say they'll call me back in a moment - it will probably be another 30 minutes. 1 person at the front desk, what appears to be 2 people doing the blood draws, but rarely do they surface to come get anyone to take them back for the draws. CPL is overall terrible....I've been to several locations and staff are rude, unknowledgable, and VERY unskilled. I only go to this Cedar Park location because it's closest to my home... I've never been bruised as much as I have at CPL when getting simple blood draws (and I rarely if ever bruise!). One tech even started twisting the needle once it was in my arm, then gave me grief when I told her she hurt me. Multi failed results requiring repeat blood draws, and internal system errors cause constant delays in service. Its rare these days that a blood draw at CPL requires multiple visits. AVOID!! read more

The lab work was fine although very pricey. But trying to pay the bill you will be dealing with a truly awful website and atrocious customer service. Expect aat least a 20 minute wait being subjected to the most boring repetitious muzak followed by a rude condescending service person. read more

Without an appt I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. Special shout-out to Brenda for her super positive attitude and the overall, great experience she helped to provide. I took a break from CPL for a few years due to poor service at another location. There's a pandemic and they are not requiring patients to wear masks! I'm here and there are several folks in the waiting room 6 to be exact and 2 folks not wearing masks in this small area! Myself and several others standing outside discussing the issue ..... there's a pandemic this is irresponsible! Samantha Tuzo GM Central Tx stated "not enough money to buy masks." Just a horrendous experience. The wait I can take or leave, it was about 45 minutes when I was there, but that's on me for going at a busy time of the day. What baffled me was the handling of my two year old for which I was drawing blood. The woman responsible for drawing blood was apologizing the whole time to my daughter, which made her feel scared about what was going on. The other girl that was helping did a much better job trying to distract her and say positive things, but the other lady continued to almost sound fearful through the entire thing. I understand, especially as a parent, that it's hard to put a little girl through that, but that's exactly why it's crucial to stay positive. Then, when they were finishing up drawing blood on her first arm, they took out the needle WITHOUT PRESSURE OR GAUZE ready. She just pulled it out and my daughter had blood leak all over her arm, and onto the teddy bear we had brought. 15 minutes and one traumatic incident later we were out without the blood samples that we needed. read more

For a place that doesn't accept appointments you'd think they would be able to AT LEAST check people in within the first 15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. After waiting for 30 to even provide my insurance and lab orders the next woman to walk in asks how long and they tell her it's at least 45 minutes. Considering I'd already waited 30, and they'd only called one person back, that was a definite lie. I leave. I assumed based on the morning time frame the last time I would come back at 1045 today. We are especially impressed with Skye at this CPL location. Skye is pleasant and professional, great technically, and she is warm and kind. She handles my daughter incredibly well. As I wrote in earlier reviews, it is challenging to get blood out of my daughter, but Skye gets it right every time. We appreciate the excellent care my daughter receives here. (By the way, for folks with auditory sensitivities, the radio music is no longer audible to me and not sure if it's even being played any more.) read more

Always so slow. If you're looking to get in and out, you might want to go to one of the busier locations. There is no reason it should take over an hour to have your blood drawn when there is only one person ahead of you. Ridiculously inefficient! read more

Apparently, this location is somewhat of a secret. Honestly, I'd like to keep this to myself - especially after going to the Whitestone location in Cedar Park this morning and seeing a full waiting room with a supposed hour and a half wait. Which is ridiculous. I left and went to the store..went home, put away my groceries and called the one in Lakeway, TX just to see if it was any better there. I was seriously willing to drive all the way out there. The lovely woman who answered, told me about this Lakeline location. When I went in, there was a lady who had just come from the Whitestone location that, an hour and a half after my visit, reported continued long lines and waiting - people standing in the lobby..and if you're familiar with Whitestone's lobby...they have quite a few chairs. So, my initial thought was to keep this place secret...but because I like you so much Yelp - since you've introduced me to some fabulous places.. I'm willing to give back. This location is pretty new, and the wait is less than half of what it is over at the Whitestone lab...which is great. FYI, when you park, it's upstairs on the right. When you walk in, just with any other CPL, go ahead and type in your first name and last name and pick an option for the reason of your visit and have as seat. You'll be in and out in no time - the staff is also friendly and not fried like the Whitestone office. You're welcome..now get on with your day! read more

Took my 3 year old yesterday to this location to have his blood work done. I went in the afternoon, at around 2:30pm. I was the only one there when I arrived . The staff was courteous, prompt and checked us in immediately. They were amazing with the level of care and attention with my son. They were calm and helped us tremendously in this process. The phlebotomist got his vein at first try, being very careful and precise. I have had the worst experience trying this before with my son in different locations. I highly recommend this location. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. read more

This location of CPL threw away a sample of my father's, stating that they were not according to the doctors orders, even after my fathers doctor called to confirm it. The phlebotomist then LIED to my mother stating that they couldn't get a hold of the doctor ordering the test originally. When confronted later by the doctor himself, they LIED again, magically retrieving the sample which was by this point no longer viable. This location is plagued by workers who ignore doctors orders in favor of their own knowledge of the situation. Extremely disappointed by their unprofessional behavior. read more

Pathetic. Waited over an hour just to drop off a urine sample on a Friday afternoon with only three people in the waiting room. Called my doctor on Monday morning only to find out there was no record of it being picked up. Called CPL to find out what's going on. They have no clue. Might have got thrown out at end of day. Suffered through weekend with UTI and have to start over again tomorrow... AT ANOTHER LOCATION. this was at the Lakeline Blvd location in Cedar Park. Will try the Jollyville location next. read more

The CPL location on Lakeline is very close to my home but I must say the service is not good. I politely asked the front desk for a mask and she pushed it across the desk with one word "Here." I imagine her job can be stressful but she has been not so nice/rude other times too. Like two words "sign in" and that's it. It makes you feel bad for asking! The phlebotomist is okay but leaves me with quite a few bruises. They really need some customer service training. Their attitudes make me want to go somewhere else even though it's close. read more

This morning is the 4th time I am coming to this laboratory for blood work in the past 6 weeks trying to get out of here in less than an hour. I was here as the doors opened, I already had about 5-6 people in front of me and was hoping that it would move faster. 25 min later the first patient of the day was invited in when the first nurse that draws blood came in. What's the point of opening at 7 when the qualified staff starts later? It is hard to comprehend that even with this high demand especially first thing in the morning, people having to go to work, they are poorly staffed and they are moving so slow. This is a walk-in clinic but there is obviously a pattern of high demand poor staffing. I ended up being there for 70 min. Hope I don't have to go there again read more

I arrived shortly before 8 AM, signed in and was called to the front desk in just a few minutes. My insurance was processed very quickly and then sat back down in the waiting room. a short time later the lady t the desk told me she was having a computer glitch and it would only be a little while longer. First- I'm a nurse and I draw blood on a regular basis. I am what some would consider a "hard stick"- it has taken people several times to get lab work from me and I end up so bruised and in pain. Two weeks ago I got my labs drawn and it took another place 4 tries to get my labs. I have been to this CPL location twice in the last month. They have a iPad sign-in in the waiting room which is easy check in. I never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes, even with several people ahead of me. Both times, from two different phlebotomists, they got my blood draw on the first try. Barely felt the needle, and I was impressed by their technique! I will definitely be coming back here for all my lab needs! read more

The location is VERY awkward...the building is poorly marked with the Clinical Pathology Laboratories..we are disabled and saw no sign showing location of elevator...had to go into a doctor office to find out if and where there was an elevator to the 2nd floor......service was good after we found the office. read more

So I come to this lab every 3 months. Before today they have been friendly and efficient. I arrived today at 705 am and there were 10 people ahead of me. I waited until 750 to be checked in and now am waiting to get blood work drawn. When called to check in no good morning nothing but do you have orders. Called back at 805 am. Very quick. Went in on a Friday around 11am and was in and out within 15 minutes! Staff was friendly, easy check-in (on computer display), and office space was well kept. Will definitely be going back for any other lab needs. read more

Front desk lady (the blonde lady) is so stupid she doesn't know how to ask question and she make you feel stupid like you don't understand

My 18 month old son had to have some blood work done. My wife and I were apprehensive about the process given his age and size. I went in the day before we brought him in to ask some questions, and they were very nice and assured me that they had plenty of experience with children his age. When we brought him in, we were prepared for it to be a very rough experience. All three employees we encountered were very nice. Two of the employees worked together in the room where they drew the blood. My son didn't make a peep when they inserted the needle, or at any other time. The lab tech hit the vein with no trouble and quickly drew the vials needed. We left with our son just as happy as he was when we went in, and my wife and I in disbelief. I am sure that some techs are better than others, but in our case, I feel it helped to be honest with them and tell them we were nervous and ask for the person most experienced with his age. read more
