CPL in Cedar Park off Whitstone Blvd.
    Susan W.

I've been going to CPL labs for years. They are really the big dog in Central Texas. The primary one I use is in Cedar Park off of Whitestone Boulevard near Highway 183. They are very efficient. They are also personable which I appreciate. They are very busy always, or at least it seems that way. I arrived at 8:45 and I am just now leaving at 10 AM. You sign in on a tablet out front with your basic information and have a seat. These days they have every other seat taped off for an attempt at social distancing. You then wait until the clerks call you up to the front where you give in your lab paperwork and your ID and insurance cards. Personally, I generally don't give my supplement because Medicare pays labs at 100% but they ask for it and so I gave it to them. It's not enough to argue over that's for sure. After you do that part which is generally the longest part of waiting you then wait for the person who's going to draw your blood to come out and call your name. I had a very nice Young gentleman today. He was friendly enough. After examining both of my arms he attempted to draw blood from the left but was unsuccessful. He reviewed the right arm again and then asked me if I'd ever had blood drawn from my hand which I believe I had at least one time in my life so he went to inspecting my hands. One of my veins on the left looked cooperative so that is where we Went for the blood and he was successful. There went three tubes. I'm hoping I lost at least I a 4-6 ounces of blood. (It's the only way I would lose anything these days.) Yes masks are required for obvious reasons. My experience was eight out of 10. I think the worst thing for me was there was a young child -maybe 6-having to get blood drawn that screamed like she was being murdered the entire time which I can totally understand but it was very difficult for me to listen to. Made me want to cry. I heard one of the clerks say that when they arrive at 6 AM there's usually a lineup so I'm not sure I could give you a suggestion for less wait time.

Great location! They take walk-ins which is great but the wait was a bit long even though no one else was in the waiting area. They have tons of chairs in the waiting area and it was very clean. They have a checkin screen that you can check into as soon as you walk in and then someone will be out to take your info down along with insurance info. Their staff was professional and friendly-ish. They are located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. Their signage is a little small so you might be better off looking for the children's dentist office which is their neighbor.

Posted hours are M-F but they actually lock the doors at 4:25. They make no exceptions. The ladies who draw blood are excellent.

TLDR: It's a heck of a lot better than CPL Laboratories, and a little nicer than Quest Diagnostics…read more This is the closest LabCorp branch for the Northwest Side of Austin. If you're facing the main entrance of the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, Building C is the last one on the right. Go inside and take the elevator to the 3rd floor to get to LabCorp. What I like about LabCorp is that you can make an appointment online, and as long as you bring your paperwork they're good about getting you in and out on time. (That said, I have seen people who didn't bring what was needed, and wasted time arguing with them.) The waiting room is pretty bare, but it doesn't have the down-at-heels bus station vibe of Quest. If you can, make your appointment earlier in the day and on T-W-Th as it's a little slower, and you'll actually be able to find parking close in. Otherwise, plan on parking in the outermost reaches of the parking lot! Note: As of September 2021, masks are required to enter the building, and no more than 5 people are allowed in the office at a time.

I'm self-pay, which means no insurance The doctor and the phlebotomist at the doctors office said when you get the bill, tell them that yourself pay you have no insurance Here's what LabCorp does, which is completely unethical! When you call LabCorp because you're self-pay and there's no insurance and you tell them this, they are first going to offer you a percentage discount. You have to decline that discount. You have to specifically say I want self-pay pricing. Even if you start out saying self-pay pricing, they will still offer you a discount, you have to decline and keep pushing for the self-pay pricing. I did not know this on my first two bills. I end up telling my doctor I want to use a different lab company because the one that they're using out of their doctors office which is LabCorp is too expensive. My doctor states, they're one of the cheapest around. Here's the self-pay pricing list. Take a picture of it. I go ahead and decide to get blood work for the third time. When I get the bill, I call LabCorp. I explained to the gentleman that I want to go over my bill because my doctor is telling me one price and the bill says a different price. And that I wanna pay for it myself because I have no insurance. The very rude lab Corp. representative tells me "the price is the price." I say, sir, "I think that you're billing me insurance prices and I don't have the insurance " He says "no these are the regular prices you're not getting insurance prices cause you have no insurance and the price is the price." On my fifth call in one day to LabCorp I finally get a competent representative that explains the system to me and tells me you have to specifically ask for self pay pricing, decline their first offer of a discount which doesn't come anywhere close to the self-pay pricing, keep insisting for the self-pay pricing, and hopefully you get self-pay A completely unethical company!

I just want to say that Brittneey performed one of the quickest, most pain free blood draws I've ever experienced!! I spent a grand total of about 15-20 minutes in office and had a very pleasant conversation with Brittneey, who really put me at ease about everything and impressed the heck out of me with her skills (so dang fast!!). I definitely want to come back to this location the next time I have to have any kind blood test done...or just to get a B-12 shot. The other phlebotomist I was on the phone with the day before I walked in - you can do that here, but appointments are highly suggested, I would think - was very professional and handled my cold call very efficiently. All in all, I had a *great* experience.

Having a blood test has been my mom's fear for years. She has a great nurse that does a great job at drawing blood so when she came here to visit and it was time to do another test for her doctor to see results, she got very nervous again. However, Jessica did everything painlessly in less than 2 minutes, which was incredible. The process of making an appointment and getting the result is very seamless. They allow walk-ins but making an appointment is highly encourage. My mom booked 8am appointment, took care of the payment, and got out no later than 8:15am. I was told the result would be available around 12-1pm the next day, but it was already emailed to me before 8am the next day. You can stop by to get the hard copy if you'd like. The office is warm and cozy. Overall I'm so happy that my mom had a very good experience here with Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, for your amazing skill and making my mom comfortable!

This outpatient clinic offers offers primary care and specialty health services, including mental health services, X-rays, laboratory services, nutrition counseling, women's health services, and more.. Compared to my previous clinic in Temple, TX, this facility is much more advanced, as many veterans have noted. It's modernized, and I didn't notice many veterans waiting to be seen, which hopefully reflects a reduction in the backlog we know has affected the VA for some time. If you're new to this clinic or the VA system in general, on the 4th floor you have two areas where you can walk up to check in or get assistance. It's also a good idea to create an account through the VA website or mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices. The VA's mobile app is quite useful, providing a wealth of information on your service, benefits, letters, and, most importantly, details about your appointments and prescriptions. One thing the VA could improve on is giving clearer directions for appointments, as it can be overwhelming for someone new to the system. That said, the staff here have been helpful and informative overall, with plenty of people available to guide you through the process. While some employees may have the attitude issues that others have mentioned, I generally don't let it affect my experience unless it impacts my care. Speaking of care, my experience here has been an awesome experience so far. My primary care physician is very attentive and the nurses to include the employees all have great attitudes and look like they are happy to work here. For more information about this clinic and its services, you can visit their website: [Cedar Park VA Clinic](https://www.va.gov/central-texas-health-care/locations/cedar-park-va-clinic/). Parking here is plentiful, so there's no need to worry about finding a spot. If you have an ISA placard or the ISA symbol on your Disabled Veteran (DV) license plates, there are designated spaces right in front of the building. Upon exiting your appointment you will check out with the staff to ensure you have all your information updated and the next appointment scheduled. You can also up date any information that is incorrect on your VA profile here.
