This is not a fun place to go. If you have to go here, it's probably because you have to get a blood or urine or similar test. I've been here enough times that that practically know me when I come in. If it's a blood test, you might have to be fasting so you'll prob have to go early. I think they open at 7am and there will be people in line as early as 630am. So there will be an influx early and then it gets calmer after 9am. The first thing you do is sign in online using a touch screen. Then you take a seat, When it gets close to your turn they will call you up to verify your forms. My pet peeve is that people get comfortable in their chair playing on their phones, etc and when they get called It takes them awhile to get their stuff out, so be ready when they call you. They don't like it when people are preoccupied like that. After they verify you, they will then call you up very soon so again, be ready. Don't be that person who has to shut down their laptop and put everything away. When they call you back there they will sit you in a chair to take your blood or whatever. If you have anything to tell them, let them know if you are hard to get blood (hard stick) or whatever. There is 1 single restroom and it's in the very front of the place. That's the worse part of that location. They do have more staff thank the next nearest location which is next to Cedar Park Hospital so this is the better of the 2 places to go. This is located way in the back corner of the complex and has the letters cpl on the outside above the windows. read more

I came here today for the first time for a simple blood test as a walk in. I didn't wait long and the staff members were friendly. The only thing is was an odd smell and the receptionist said there might be something dead in the wall....... read more

I am a firm believer if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all but this needs to be said. I arrived with my daughter 5 minutes til 5. Granted, they close in 5 minutes but the doors were locked and the office people stared at us through the windows until 5pm on the dot (she showed me her watch) to open the doors and say they were closed. Never again! Needed a blood draw. The person at the front desk is rude and very unpleasant to deal with. When I arrived and handed her the paperwork, she rudely pointed to my left and in an annoyed voice said "Sign in on the Tablet" There was a touch screen with a floating icon there. I said "Excuse me, but Is this what you mean? This question garnered an angry reaction and reply. I countered and said "Ma'am, I'm not stupid, just tired. No need to be this way" and went about entering the data. There was one person ahead of us who left within 5 minutes of our arrival. We were the only people in the place while the front desk staff and phlebotomists had a chit chat session that lasted 10 minutes. Eventually a tech appeared and called us. The tech who drew blood was professional, but still had no people skills. Look, if you're going to work in a profession that helps the sick get well, get over yourself and be helpful and empathetic toward your patients. because you don't know what they've been through or are going through at the moment.. read more

I drive to Austin pretty far from here because 2 out of 3 times they have messed up my bloodwork. And I have heard other people checking in to get blood work "redone" because of errors . I don't know what is going on here but I would recommend finding another CPL location. Hopefully they will be on top of things. I use the facility in North Austin Medical Center and have never had a problem. Only the parking sucks there... read more

Alas, this is the closed blood draw place to my home, so, for the 5th time that I can remember, I went there. Service as disgusting as usual. Would suggest, since no Official C{L apparently ever looks at the reiews that people w/gripes write it here, copy it and send it to the CPL company. Last time, came for blood draw, a few people there, asked how long/ About 15 mins. the Baroness said. I waited, at half an hr. asked again, said I was in line. Waited some more. Everyone left. Went up again at the hour mark. "Oh, I guess I need to call her (the teh) again. That's right, the paperwork was still where it was an hour before. No apology. Teh wcame out and was fast & efficient. Visit yesterday. I'm having vision issues so I have had to ask a friend to come from way E. Austin to Leander to take me for a urinalysis. Just a urinalysis. After a mix up w/paperwork that may have been MD's office, or may have been CPL, after 4 phone calls, they had it straightened out when I got there. Asked for a cup, delivered "the product." Went out to the Baroness. I was told to sit down, that they had "paperwork" they needed. I sat. I waited. I finally ot up bc another woman had arrived at the ounter. She didn't offer to help but I sort of demanded attention, asking if I couldn't do the needed "paperwork."Gave her my name and she looked it up on the computer. And handed me a cup. I protested that I had "already" fulfilled that obligation. Baroness finally looks up from the other paperwork she was doing, which she had apparently been on for over 20 mins. at that point and confirmed. I then had to explain that Baroness had told me I needed to review the paperwork. "What paperwork? inquired the newly arrived receptionist. "That.."says Baronness picking "That" up from in front of her." The newly arrived clerk picked it up, looked at it, said "did you sign in".. Yes. I said. (I had put my name, address, phone #, and DOB in the "computer" on the wall. So newly arrived clerk reads me that info, and then says, OK, that's all. 25 MINS. totally wasted bc someone wanted to be "important" or else was incapable of manaed a 2 min. question to save someone 25 mins. of wait time while she worked on the other info, and did not ask the Newly Arrived Clerk to finish "the paperwork." A power play or incompetence...you decide. Just a confirmation! I waited to confirm what they already had for info that I signed in with, that had to hfe been on the orders to begin with!, and then had to re-verify. . And, BTw, all this was preceeded by a phone call to them before coming in that they had in fact, finally rec'd the orders from the Dr. I called, someone answered, I said I wanted to verify receipt and make sure it was only for a urinalysis. "Just a minuted" she said. 7 minutes later, I was pretty sure she wasnt' come back, so I had to call back again, and they rummaged thru some paper, and finally said yes, it was in the FAx. (It had been Faxed a little after 1, for the 2nd time, and apparently was still "on the FAX" when we got there at 4 p.m. I'd like to recommend somewhere else, but apparently CPL does nto need to provide decent service as they are about the ONLY service in town. UPDATE: Wow, what a difference a year makes. So have had to go back twice in the last 2 months for labs here. The first time I was amazed, they were pleasant nice, did not delay things...like a totally different place. The woman that was there before..was not. Then came again today. Everything smooth, efficient, only had to wait about 10 m ins, pleasant, and no wait so the could "check my paperwork before I could leave--which was my address and name! Night and Day difference. I went to this location multiple times. Early morning wait is expected so I try to go on my wknd day a bit later to avoid crowds. Reception personnel was good. I'm usually the one who talks first anyways. It's nice to have plenty of seating even though some of them could be updated. Phlebotomists are always great too. Personally I don't expect to be treated like I'm in 5 star hotel and I'm not bothered with little things. I came in to get lab work done, I know it's going to be wait, I'm nice to personnel, so they are always nice to me. After I began working in the healthcare myself I have all new appreciation of what lab workers and other healthcare professionals do, because now I know how impatient and demanding some patients can be. So I try not to be one of them. read more

Wife went to have bloodwork drawn after not being able to eat since the night before while pregnant. Waited a while, then our son had to go to the bathroom. Took my son to the bathroom (which was in the back with the lab techs), and they took her name off the list because they thought she left. She then had to drink the stuff and wait another hour before they took the bloodwork. Very disappointed. It is not like they did not know she took him to the bathroom (and left her stuff in the office), much less know that she came back. Glad she went up to the desk when she did. read more

My doctor gave me printed orders for blood work. I called CPL at the Railyard to ask if I had to fast for any of the listed tests and was promptly told I had to ask my doctor for that information. I questioned this advice and was again told she couldn't tell me. Called Jollyville - the woman who answered the phone was pleasant and gave me the information immediately. Out of curiosity, I also called the Austin Center Blvd location and was again given the requested information followed by "you're welcome". read more

If I could give a negative review I would. The receptionist at the front desk is massively rude and told me to sit down when I went up there after waiting 40 min. You sign in on a computer and wait till you are called back. The only problem with that is you have no idea the wait or how many are in front of you. When you go up to ask where you are on the list they literally tell you to go sit down and you will be cAlled when it is your turn. I will never be back here. What a way to be treated when you are here because you are sick. read more

I got to the center at 7:30AM. Finally at 8:36AM I am called back for my blood work. Lady puts the rubberband around my arm and feels and says "do they usually use a butterfly?" I said yes and she walks away. Another lady comes over with a butterfly needle and she asks me where they usually do it. I told her in my right arm NEXT to the vein that is visible bc the one that is visible is never a good one. Well she hits the visible one and we sit there and sit there while the tube fills at a slow rate. She says "let me try another one" after the tube stops filling. She pokes me NEXT to the visible vein and fills a different tube then tried filling the first tube again with no luck so she threw it out and did another new one. Needless to say it wasn't a great visit...the environment wasn't great either. read more

This was the worst blood draw experience I have ever witnessed!! My 18 month old grandson needed a blood draw for allergy testing. I accompanied my daughter to help out if needed. (I need to state here that he is a very tough kid & hardly ever cries when he falls while playing.)My daughter was instructed how to hold/restrain him as to keep him still. He was fine and as soon as she put the needle in he cried but we were able to keep him still & distracted for the most part. She wasn't able to get the blood to flow & asked me to hand her another tube. By this time the blood had stopped & she removed the needle & threw everything away. We were told that someone else would need to come try & that they were only allowed to try 2 times on a baby. The second girl came in & seemed put out that she had to do this. Now the baby is upset & isn't wanting to be held/restrained but we proceed. This most unprofessional girl stabs the needle in & starts twisting it under his skin looking for a vein!! He is now VERY upset & she complains that he is to tensed up! My daughter asked her to stop & remove the needle & was totally ignored. She asked several more times & she finally pulled the needle out. Then basically "oh well I guess you'll have to come back later & try again." I will NEVER go back here again & will make sure that I let others know what a crappy place CPL is. read more

Our experience here was great, well as great as it could be considering why we were there. My 5 year old needed to get her blood drawn. The ladies there were so nice and they made her feel at ease. They got the vein on the first try. I thought it was a nice waiting area, very plush seating, not the usual cramped plastic chairs you usually see in a waiting area. Both my husband and I had been here in the past and each time it has gone very well. I knew it was time to write a review because it went so well for my daughter. As anyone with young kids would know, this could have been a nightmare. If you or your child needs blood drawn, these gals know what they are doing. Thank you! read more

I went to the Whitestone site on Tuesday for lab work, arrived at 11:50 AM (fasting) I had 2 requests for lab work by two different doctors. I wanted them combined for 1 lab draw. They had 3-4 women working in the front, talking to each other the whole time. Phones ringing , no one answered them just let them ring. They were very friendly to me when spoken to. On my lab orders, they couldn't understand 1 slip, so they called the office. They said the Dr was busy, will call back in 45 mins, I called the office and gave them my phone to get info. (it was around 2:30 pm now) I could go on with my story but I think u have the picture. I left at 5:05 pm starving, dizzy, and thirsty. I was never offered a cookie or a glass of water. I will say that the lab techs were fabulous they knew what they were doing and were very quick about it. The office is decorated from probably the 1990s very used and furniture needs to be replaced as it is wore out. The bathroom was dirty, there was a sink but no soap or towels (hand sanitizer bottle in corner of sink). I would give this location a rate of 1-2 but the back techs a 4-5. read more

I usually never make any comments however the wait at this place is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I went in this morning at 7:20 to get labs drawn and the place was packed. At 8:10 I went to the desk and asked what my status was in line, I was told I still had 2 people in front of me to go over paperwork and 7 people in front of me to have my labs drawn. Mind you in this 50 minute time span they maybe called 3-4 people tops. Like everyone else I have other things to do and don't have time to sit for hours to have my blood drawn. I also gathered there were issues between staff members there, I will never return to this location. read more
