The food and bread is definitely value, bang for buck no cheaper places around so when you come in you get value. Don't expect amazing food but it's always decent. The people on the other hand are horrible. Keep interaction at a minimal get your bread and food and get out. I made the mistake of ordering something else and the cashier lost it. I'm not sure why maybe life but I was pretty shocked by the behavior. My cheapass will still be coming back but only bread and not food. read more

I've visited a few times. I initially came to try champurrado. A financial advisor once brought up the fact that he missed his morning champurrado. From his description of the drink, I had to try it. La Villa Bakery was one of the locations listed in Yelp that sold it. It wasn't real close but I had to try it. It was great! It was a sweet drink and I could tell this hot drink was really rich compared to the unsweetened black coffee I usually drink. It wasn't coffee but it was good. The shop and its employees also had a homey charm. There was a good selection of pan dolce. My favorite, the carrot cake, was very rich. Seating is not easy as it is mainly a bakery. There are a few tables that looked like they were put in as an afterthought. I've brought friends here including a senior who immigrated from Mexico as a young child. He didn't know this place existed. He said it reminded him of a bakery in east side Wilmington, where he grew up. He gave his approval and said he would join me on future visits. read more

Great to know that when I'm in Bellflower there's a good pan dulce bakery plus other eats to satisy a craving. The breads are definitely made there because they don't skimp on ingredients. I'm no expert, but everyone loved them and prices were very reasonable too. About $6.50 for 10 pieces. A few were smaller sized, but still a bargain because a couple were of the larger variety and filled. I will have to come back and try the food too, but for the pan dulce, it's a must try. Usually conchas are too large for me and have too much dry/airy bread in the middle, but these mini conchas here are perfect. Also got crescent/spiral breads and cookies. Just bought pan dulce here. The bread was hard and the tres leches cakes seemed like old milk. Also bought a gallon of milk. Expired, curdled and even though it said it expired a week from today 04/04/2021 it was chunky. Does no one check what's expired here? I threw everything away. I came across this spot on Yelp. Their bread is so good. They have the mini conchitas that where very soft and very good flavor. Prices are pretty reasonable and the lady at the counter was very nice. Once there I found out they also sell food. It smelled really good I definitely will be back to try the food.
