My visit was fine until it was time to pay. Kathy charged my card 3 times and over drafted my account on a Friday Mother's Day weekend at that. I was told to wait 24hours which I knew wouldn't happen so I gave it until Monday hoping that my money would return in my account and it still didn't. I called the nail salon to request some type of compensation whether it be cash or whatever bc at this point the salon owes me hundreds of dollars. They told me to wait until their boss contacted me but I didnt have time to wait I needed my money right then and there so I went to the salon itself only to be told I had to wait an additional 24 hours for my money to go back to my account and it wasn't even the full amount bc of the overdraft. During a recent pedicure, the male technician cut my foot deeply enough to remove a chunk of skin while "sanding" my foot way too hard with what felt like sandpaper. When I pointed it out, it was barely acknowledged and no proper care or sanitation steps were taken. The area has since become infected and will probably leave a scar. I would strongly caution others, as this could have been prevented with proper technique and response. This man should not be doing pedicures if he is unable to be gentle. read more

I had a disappointing experience this past weekend I've been trying to decide how to express what happened without blasting the entire staff. I took my daughter, two granddaughters (7 and 9 for first time) and daughter in law. We were getting mani-pedis. I usually ask for and schedule with Carmen. This was a bit last minute and I didn't have that option but went anyway. First they put us on opposite side from the girls - they were fine with it and we could see them over the half wall and keep eye so let that go. Littles having their own big girl day. We confirmed we DID NOT want gel polish for the girls. This was mentioned at least twice. Imagine my surprise and disgust to find that not only did they put gel on the girls fingers but also their toes. I believe is was the owner who took control of them and told the workers what to do. Took advantage of the situation and not speaking English so we didn't know what they were saying. The price of this non wanted gel polish apparently was $20 and didn't even last three days - much shorter than the gel was touted as lasting longer than regular polish. If it weren't for Carmen and the girls that have worked with her when we've gone before I would consider changing salons. Barring the "gel" the littles got this last time I've never had an issue with the actual service. Be sure to pay attention that you get the services you request and know the cost of it. read more

This salon caused a heel ulcer on my foot after a pedicure from scrubbing my feet so hard with an abrasive pad until it was raw and bloody. It took 2 months to heal, two rounds of antibotics, dressing changes and doctor bills for a foot specialist. It was super painful and caused me to be unable to walk properly. I was unable to put any pressure on it and had trouble sleeping. There was no reason to scrub that hard. I had no calluses or anything wrong with either foot prior to my appointment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!! They deleted my first review so I'll just come here!!! I'm normally never one to complain about services of any sort. When I pay $100 to get a pedi and nails done I expect the best! But instead I get nail polish that came off of my toes after one day and then the acrylic is breaking away from my nails. And not to mention my initial visit was rushed and had to ask the girl to slow down. I called them and explained what was going on and the lady told me to come there and she would fix it. Well that didn't happen. They repainted my toes but that was it. Instead of just fixing my nails they had me sit in the pedi chair, completely ignoring me and I got asked what did I want to do with my nails. Told the girl I was completely unhappy and this should have never happened and I would like them fixed. She just shrugged it off and left me sitting there. After 1 hr of sitting there and being completely ignored I just ended up leaving. You don't treat your customers this way!!!!! Me and my two sisters went to get 2 full sets and I just got my toes painted for her wedding. The brides nails look good it is a normal job not to bad but the other set was horrible. When she sat down the lady said does your boyfriend let you walk around like that and then she was talking about being hung over. I got my toes done in regular polish I previously had jel polish all they did was take it if and my nail polish was clumping together I sat in the dryer for 30 minutes. I recently went to have my nails redone. In the prior appointment, I had the dip done and it didn't last at all, and I will never do that again. This time I had the french gel. She did a nice job, but holy crap was that expensive! I wish I had $70 for less than an hours work! No tips were added to my nails, it was just put on top of my short natural nails so I left like I was charged as if I had a full set of very long nails, with the gel, installed. This was the first time I've went for a pedi/mani during the pandemic. The service was great and woman very polite. My concern is that no one spoke up for COVID. After the pedi, I was asked to walk over to the mani station. I noticed the woman next to me not wearing a mask. I asked to be seated somewhere else. Of course the woman heard me. She was very vocal that she was not contagious and unable to contract the virus because she has a disability. I walked away from the station and waited for her to leave. There is plexiglass between the manicurist and the customer. I'd suggest considering plexiglass between the two customers when a 6' can not be respected, until there is better handle on COVID19. There is misinformation out there. Low risk and unable to contract the virus are two very different statements. Be smart. COVID does not discriminate. Last Sunday, I took my daughter to La Vie Nails to get her eyebrows done. The lady that did her eyebrows first off told her that her acne was "bad" and asked if she ever washes her face. Then as she was doing her eyebrows she left the wax on her eye for too long and it ripped it off so hard that it ripped her skin up. She will now have a scar there forever. Thanks La Vie for that!!! I've been to this nail salon a total of 3 times, and each time they have done a crappy job. This past time I went, the guy rushed through my nails. Within one week, my nails (dip powder), have chipped beyond belief! Also, he did not cut my nails down to the same length, even after I told him that he forgot to cut them down. Recommend it! Ambience - Very clean nail salon! Decorated in a peaceful calming color. Great mural on the wall and the ceiling painted as a cloudy sky is a nice touch. Service - The staff are pleasant and professional. The shop is very busy but they got us in right away with no wait time. My wife and mother in law enjoyed getting their pedi's done. Just moved to the area and decided to give this salon a try. The Salon was clean and they did have nice chairs. The girl who did my pedicure made my toe bleed when she was cutting the cuticle. Then kept applying what felt like alcohol on it and it stung so bad. She kept asking me very personal questions and I just wanted to sit and relax. Then the color I chose she went to grab it at the end and said they were out of that color. I picked another color and she came back and said we are out of that one too. So I had to pick another color that they had. I don't know why they would have out swatches of nail colors they don't even have available for customers. The music was also pretty annoying. The lights are also very BRIGHT. Like not relaxing somewhat dim lights but super bright. I didn't love that! They were also blaring loud pop Spanish music. I couldn't understand it and it was pretty annoying to say the least. When I was leaving a big group of like 7 walked in and I was in the middle of paying and the girl who did my pedicure didn't say thank you or bye or anything. They were also aggressively buffed all to hell which helped in the destroying. I paid $32 for this service.. I walked out of the salon and inspected my nails, two of which were broken. Which made me really upset because he painted them and just kept going without saying a word. My nails are so thin you can fold them over !! Other then the two nails he broke by aggressively buffing them 5 more have broken since then from being so damaged by this salon. I will never come back here again. I have given this place multiple chances and frankly, it sucks. I live locally in Clayton and will make a long drive to a nicer place if I have to. I dealt with 2 different people and still hate my nails. They are ugly and look nothing like the picture I showed everyone. I understand nail salons have foreign workers but when you can't understand that I'm not happy and it still isn't what I want don't nod and keep going. Also don't charge me full price.
