Love this place love there live music and mixed drinks and enjoy having there specials every time me and my husband visit although there's only about three really great waitresses we make sure to tip very well ;-) food is great found my new place to get great tacos yey!! Went Friday and Saturday same experience. HORRIBLE! VERY VERY VERYYYY RUDE SECURITY GUARDS! Especially the Mexican Security guard with very light hair! If you stand to long they tell you...NOT ask you,...to sit down! IF you even stand by your table and try and move like your dancing they'll come rushing you and tell you to sit! Celebrated my best friend's birthday last weekend. Horrible service took forever for someone to come and take our food and drink order. The food is not that great either went there mainly for the karaoke and to have fun, but couldn't even do that. The lady in charge of the Karaoke gave my friend a hard time because she wanted to use the 2nd microphone to sing along with a friend. We were a large party so we started cheering them on and were a little too loud. We were told to keep it down and even had security send to be near our table to make sure we were not being loud. I mean its a Karaoke restaurant not a church, people are going to get loud. worst place to go if you want to have a good time. read more

I recently visited this establishment with a large group to celebrate a friend's birthday. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty the service was extremely slow. When a member of our party went to ask for the mic one of the employees refused to give it to her and told her she needed to let someone else sing because she had already gone up several times. My friend let her know that she was not requesting it for herself, but rather another member of our group. A few minutes later one of the female security guards posted herself by our table and within a minute rudely interrupted the person singing at our table and told them they were being too loud and needed to tone it down. Shortly after another lady I presume she was a waitress/hostess also came up and told our table to be quiet because the sound traveled to the front loudly. For starters it's a damn karaoke bar/restaurant not a library. Secondly the sound was loud towards the back when other people sang in the front as well. A simple solution would have been to turn the volume down a bit instead of harassing us. At this point several members of our group begin to feel uncomfortable so we wrapped things up and asked for our check which also took several minutes. When we were finally able to go up and pay I noticed the other security standing right behind us as if she was making sure we weren't going to skip out on our check. Of course the night wouldn't be complete without the security guard that was posted at our table meeting us in the parking lot to make sure we made it safely to our cars . Considering our group spent well over $400 that night on food (nothing to rave about) & drinks it's very unfortunate that the decision of a few employees to create a hostile environment lost them some good business. read more

I came here before the last time I got ceviche I didn't enjoy it. I decided to give it a chance too and I confirmed the ceviche was too plain no flavor and no lemon. My boyfriend got a wet burrito and the meat was nice and juicy the beans and rice are the best ever. We also got 2 tacos a carne asada and al pastor. The meat on the tacos was a little dry. Its a nice family restaurant and I would come back for burritos any day just not ceviche. The waitress took care of us they also have a button on the table, to paige them. To top it off I got flan to end the meal which was the best ive had in a while. If the ceviche was better I would rate it a 4 but I do plan to go back again soon ! read more

The waitresses are really bad in the service when they leave they don't even put your order in for your food. Have to wait 1 1/2 for the food to be put in to be made. Adela is Horrible at being a waitress at la veranda. Adela won't put your Oder in or won't let nobody else know that some had placed an order for the food. Nice place in the inside and outside as well , very good service and excellent tasting food , it has a very nice looking bar , karaoke nights are very exciting local singers put a show up I also noticed there is a security guard that walks around the parking lot and is in the inside as well , he doesn't talk or smile to much but his presence does make a difference. Cool spot. They have karaoke, and it's always good times. The DJ is very entertaining. Family oriented. The food is good. The beers are nice an cold. My friends liked their margaritas. Place looks clean..walking in for the first time I thought it looked very nice..food- I've had better. Didn't even eat half of it. My plate came with tortillas..never got them...I couldn't even let the waitress know because she was no where to be found. My husband needs a refill on his drink he had to get up and ask for one. When we were done and wanted the check again waitress nowhere to be seen..what the hell!! Than like 10 minutes later here she comes with her purse in her hand and sits down in the table next to us with her boyfriend and completely ignored us. At that point I figured no one was waiting on us. We got up and had to go up the register to see if we could get the check. What we paid is not worth it. Hubby and I decided we are not coming back. Don't come here late at night, apparently they don't serve HOT FOOD!! Came here with family after a Halloween party and this place clearly shows serving both hot and cold food and advertising chicken wings on an advertisement on the wall. Sat here for 15 minutes eating chips and salsa without having our drinks served. The only food that is served is Seafood & that is ok if you're NOT allergic to it OR pregnant (which I am!). I'm writing this at 6:30 a.m. because I was just awoken by all of the symptoms from the Pepto-Bismol song after eating at La Veranda last night. They should add that tune to the karaoke menu. But that wasn't the worst part about my experience at this place. A busboy stole some clothing from a member of my party and hid the stash outside in the dumpster corral so he could retrieve it later. Earlier, I witnessed the bartender try to save money by substituting cheap liqueur for vodka in a cocktail. Then, as we were leaving after spending more than $500 on food and drinks for an office Christmas party, a waitress ran out into the parking lot to accuse a member of our party of not paying for a watered-down margarita from the bar. She had a security guard block the customer's car while she went back into the bar to double-check whether the drink had been paid for, only to come out a few minutes later and say, "OK, you can leave." You'd have to be a moron to give this place a second chance. read more

I'm VERY picky with my beans but was happily delighted as they were fresh and mashed up nice and smooth. Decent prices as well for food and drinks. I also got a Modelo michelada which was so refreshing. It was a clean establishment and had a nice atmosphere. I recommend coming here. read more

This is my favorite place to have a refreshing drink. I came here last year for my birthday and I wasn't sure what to order. The bartender suggested a coronarita. When I got my drink I was amazed on how big it was. I took a drink and it was so good. It had a good mixture of margarita mix and corona. Just the way I like it. I have to say I love this place I think that not to many people know about this place and if they do they think it's bad but it's actually changed over the years the new owner of about give or take 7 years has really made it into a family Resturant you can go there for a special occasion and fill like you got your money's worth !!!!!! It's decorated very nicely booths are nice clean and beautifully upholstered !! The bar is also very nice and I must say they have some of the best mixed drinks I have ever tasted ( piña colada) ( margarita botracha) and happy hour specials that can't be beat. They have a friendly staff that I admire because it's a big Resturant I've seen a complaint of the waitress taking to long or disappearing but geeez people give the girls a break it's a long walk it's a big Resturant and another thing they have a call system on each table that you can use !!! They also have free entertainment ( karaoke) the man puts on a good show !!! Sometime you get to hear really good singers !! The food is good the molcajete is one of my fav.. My mom and I came in for lunch today. No customers. We needed a couple extra minutes to look over the menu, and got nearly 15 instead. My mom got up to get the waitress to come back. I know the food is good. Also the prices are ridiculous! I have a menu that's not that old where a combo two-item plate was 7.99. Now it's over $12! No way. They have lunch specials for $8.95 (maybe six of them) but one is two tacos and another is two enchiladas. What about one taco and one enchilada plate? We've been to this place many times, live within a mile, it's been in the neighborhood for years, recently remodeled. The best Menudo in town, the enchiladas are as close to the ones my mother use to make as I've tasted in Years. The beans and rice are the bomb and the Michelada's are the best in Colton. We used to have menudo (to go) every Sunday but lately the price has gone up and the portions seem smaller. Probably the best for authentic Mexican food in Colton. The music (karaoke) can get loud on the week-end but fun to listen to and watch the people get up there and try. Depending on what day of the week you go, the service is usually pretty good. My daughter and I went here last night for Karaoke and ladies night out and ended up eating a fabulous meal! A lot of food and I'm still eating leftovers the next day! The KJ's name is German and he's a great guy with a wonderful voice. The people are very friendly and you can tell it's definitely family-oriented, all smiles. The worst restaurant I have ever been to. Went there once and after 40 minutes waiting, NOBODY CAME TO OUR TABLE TO TAKE OUR ORDER, so we left. Yesterday we decided to try it one more time and it was not a better experience. We were being charged extra drinks, so I told the cashier and she insisted that we ordered those drinks. I had no problem on waiting if they needed to check the cameras but that was not an option. It looks like this is how they tip themselves, by stealing moneu from people, after all most of them don't even review the check. We ended up paying the extra drinks, so I went back to the table and grabbed the tip we had left. People pay attention to what charge you. I mark a star because there is nothing less, but they don't deserve it. read more
