This place was great! The food was delicious & the service was great! The waitress was extremely helpful & attentive. The molcajete supremo is enough food for 3 people, not to mention all the meats are cooked & seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend! read more

Came here for my friends birthday dinner, it was 5 of us and only ONE of my friends brought in her own dinner bc she doesn't eat the type of food that is served here but wanted to come support our friends birthday and the waitress told her she cant eat her food in there. She continued to finish her food real quick, everything else was fine up until we we're done eating i asked for a to go cup for my shrimp cocktail and waited 15 minutes and rang the little bell on the table and she still didn't bring me it all while attending the surrounding customers and completely avoiding our table. 20 minutes later we didnt want to wait anymore so i had to take my cocktail cup to the front and ask for a to go cup again. We finally pay and are heading out to leave when the RUDE security guard stops us to tell us that we cant park the way we were parked and i said we are leaving and he continued to angrily tell us the same thing all while another car was parked way worse. NEVER coming back. read more

There service was alright. The molcajete was really good. I've ate from here twice both molcajete's. Once to go and the other at the restaurant both times same thing and this is My ONLY complaint. The chicken is SUPER SUPER FREAKING SALTY!!!! Salado uno y salada la comida ya valimos queso..... read more

Food was bomb af but they take forever for only drinks. The chips and salsa were bomb. And the stuff is very nice

Things have changed for the better, Molcajete is delicious. fondue with chorizo is a must, Good Prices and Really good mixed drinks!

Very good food but service is very very crappy this place will shut down soon because of its service they are all lazy...

Hate to leave bad review. But food was just not good. Overpriced. Looks nice. Maybe it's more of a bar/appetizer place?

Friendly staff, good service, but when it doesn't take them any longer to prepare your food than your margarita, that is the first hint it's microwaved from frozen. Second clue is when the cheese in your relleno isn't melted. If you like canned margarita mix and frozen food on a hot plate, I've got the spot for you. Great service, meh food. read more

Cool place . Not everyday type Mexican food. We shared a shrimp impanda. Delicious. I had a fish fillet with some Chipotle sauce. Tremendous. Blended Margie was good and service was good. read more

Food is ok. Not the best not the worst. I went to have a few beers and lunch. Service is a bit slow. They could check on the guests more often. I stayed for one hour and was served a total of 3 beers with my lunch. I was checked on 3 times in one hours time. Ambience....well it's typical but I really just put that word for the review. For some reason when you type food service or ambience it gets highlighted on the review. All I cared about was the service and food but I hardly seen my server and the food was just ok. 3 stars. read more

I would give it 0 stars if I can. HORRIBLE service. Super slow. Took forever to get our drinks and food & on top of that, food was dry and cold. I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. Seriously, how long does it takes to bring damn lemons. Took the waitress 15 minutes to bring them. And on top of that, we asked for the check like 5 times.. Lame restaurant. read more

We love this place and its ambiance! Molcajetes and chile rellenos-- keep them coming

Such good food. Never had anything that I didn't like. The bacon wrapped shrimp are bomb. Chip & salsa and a bucket of beers. read more

I have since come back many times, and my previous review holds strong. If you come with someone that you are somewhat close with, I recommend the Molcajete Supremo, at $24, it feeds two, maybe 3 people easily. If you order it Mon-Thurs. before dinner, its only $21!! Shrimp, fish, Carne Asada, Carnitas, Nopales, Chicken, and Chorizo sausages all in one hot bowl! Served with rice, beans, tortillas, and salsa! Its the bomb baby! My Son has been getting Shrimp Burritos here alot. The service has gotten a bit better as well. In my opinion, this is the best Mexican Restaurant in Colton. read more

Seated right away. Order taken right away food came out hot and fresh. I can tell beans were not cooked with Manteca and there were not old like most restaurants. The rice was also fresh not a day old. We ordered taquitos with rice and beans and green enchiladas with rice and beans. Food was fresh and hot. Green enchiladas were super spicy don't recommend unless you like hot food you choke on we loved them. read more

Good food. Service was decent. Music in background set a good vibe. Definitely worth a try

I usually go to La Veranda during lunch time with co-workers and I love the food. So, tonight I invited my sisters to come join me for dinner there and they had never tried it or been. So, we checked in and sat down at 7:30, 7:45 we walked out. Our drinks or orders weren't taken. We did not have a waitress stop and ask us anything. We had four waitresses walk by and pass us. One came and did say hi but that was only to collect her tip off the table. We were not happy. I was so embarrassed because I bragged about this place. I've eaten here at least three times. As we walked out we informed the lady at the front counter. Hopefully they will pay attention to ALL guests. It seemed like the waitresses kept checking on the people eating already more than once. In fact the way they talked to them, it seems like the guests were regulars and they only attended to them. Yes, I observed all that in 15 Minutes. read more

The food was very good. The beans were not salty and the spanish rice was cooked nicely not hard or dry. The wet Burrito with the green sauce was spicy but not to spicy where you cant eat it or enjoy the food. The Caldo de Camaron was huge! plenty of good size shrimp. Add this with the home made tortillas and you cant go wrong. Sadly the sercice was just ok , more of order takers. Sad this restaurant has potential, need to invest in some front of the house training. Overall we would come back because of the food. read more

The service is terrible. Waitress/hostess is very rude and we asked for a to go box and never received it. Security guards are very rude, so make sure you park in between the lines (which was none of his business). Will never come back. read more

Zero stars if I could .. was just there on Sunday with husband they made us wait to sit down and took a long time to take out order the food to long to come out and the was so cold and salty the food is ok I guess and the service is trash the waitress are so lazy and just ignore the fact that you're a paying customer never asked how we are doing or if we need anything NEVER GOING BACK! Let me start by saying this review isnt due to the food. The food was great actually. I went there tonight with a group of 26 to celebrate an anniversary. It took 20 mins for them to come and get our d4inks and over an hour for us to all get our food which they brought out 10 to 15 mins apart from each other. They never came back to check on us until we flagged them down for more water. The WORST PART was that literally all night security was standing right next to us the entire time! If we moved to see the karaoke singer they moved with us. They followed us all night even into the parking lot when we left and all of us felt 100% harassed. Food was great but between the service and harassment none of our group will ever go there again nor recommend it read more

Food was FABULOUS Arrived and was seated immediately Waitress greeted us friendly and was nice and very helpful. Placed order immediately and got our order immediately and was delicious. BUT our waitress forgot about us. The service button we are to press for service, she never came. I had to go look for a waitress to get refills. Waitress need better customer service training. BUT food was amazing. Good Job to the chef read more

It is tasty and delicious. There isn't lard in the beans, which is good if you are vegetarian. Get white rice instead of Mexican if you are veggie. The horchata is cold and refreshing. The chips are crisp with a little Chile sprinkled on top. They have a green and red sauce that isn't too spicy. Friendly staff. Their taco salad is my go to. They make me a custom salad with what I want inside, being that I'm vegetarian. There are many other great options as well. I forgot to take a picture, next time. read more

The food is really good but the service is horrible and in top of that they don't reinforce the law to wear a mask at all times !!! Everybody and their momma was walking without one like they were in the park!! The owner needs to hired another waitress!!!! Deje de estar de codo! read more

Services is really bad! Adela was our waitress for the night , she was very unpleasant, she looked miserable working there. The food was not horrible but it was cold . Don't waste you time or money at this place! Not worth it! read more

Dinner after a long day @ work. The outside, nicer than It's surroundings. The inside is colorful and welcoming. No one meets me at the door, that's ok. Once I have a seat I have friendly, attentive service with a smile. This is what one looks forward to from good family restaurants. I have a simple plate, something light, the fish ceviche. It's fresh. I'm here on kareoke night. The locals are singing their hearts out. Some have no business near a mic but it feels honest and from a passionate place inside. Much like the overall feel of the mural filled interior. It's authentic I'm not a big kareoke fan but that won't keep me from coming back. I like it. read more

I went a couple of times I can say Im a regular there we all go togheter with my friends always used to be a graet place until yesterday some body brake into my car stole a lot of personal items they throw a brick into my window. When I was leaving the place I noticed a lot of glass look and oh my is my window The security dude was inside in the BAR when he supposed to be working outside is what he is paid for, I cal him his name is Javier and he do not do anything the restaurant " manager berenice she said that she cant go outside because she is on charge of the inside of the restaurant no ouside hallo are you serious" thats riduculos SO MY BEST TIP TO YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE WHEN THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CARS IN THEIR PROPERTY. read more

I've come to this place for many years, the service is a miss or hit, sometimes I get really good attentive servers and sometimes I get really bad ones. This past weekend I went with a group of 15 friends to celebrate my bday, among that group was my brother who is a Special Forces Para Rescue Man in the US Air Force and came home for a week. Our party consumed well more than $400 in food and drinks. The restaurant was rather empty for most of the night. They had karaoke night and the usual Karaoke host German was not there, there was another lady, our group was there for karaoke and to celebrate, we put in a couple of songs to sing, I had only sang two songs and there was not that many people that night and when one of my friends was singing their song I asked the karaoke host lady for the second microphone and she refused to give me the microphone and went on to tell me to leave my friend sing alone and that I had already sang too many songs! I was so upset at her rudeness, I could not believe what she was saying! She then proceeded to visit our table which was all the way in the back to tell us to quiet down that we couldn't be singing loud because the only table that was occupied towards the entrance of the restaurant could hear how loud we were, she basically told my party to shut up! At this point they proceeded to bring one of their so called "security" and place her next to our table to keep an "eye" on us which made many of my guests uncomfortable and like we were some sorts of criminals! We decided to leave this place and the "security" followed us to the outside parking lot and watched to make sure we left! I am very insulted and disappointed at this restaurant, when German is there hosting the Karaoke I don't even have to put my name down to sing, he automatically just brings me the microphone as ask me to sing. I felt very harassed and embarrassed with all of my guest which for most was their first time. I plan on going back and placing a formal complaint with the owner, they really need to do something about their staff and train them with better customer service. Just because this restaurant is a hole in the wall it doesn't mean that only ghetto people go there. I hope German doesn't take more days off or at least he should put someone that has better people skills hosting the Karaoke. Very disappointed! read more

Something has changed with this restaurant. We ordered the enchilada plate (2 cheese enchiladas), the taquitos rancheros and my friend ordered something (I can't remember). The taquitos were okay; However the enchiladas were re-heated (frozen product), the sauce was old (sour and didn't taste right) and I don't feel well at all. I think I got food poisoning as I'm writing this. I hope not. To top it all off, they charged me $58 dollars for two beers, a steak plate, enchilada plate and taquitos... really? Feels like, because no one was in there, they charged me extra to make up the losses. Never coming here again.. These people need to really take a long look at what they're doing.. the restaurant is awful. And don't think that, because you turned the lights low, I couldn't tell that my enchilada sauce looked like chocolate sauce. I could tell. I hope others learn from my mistake and don't go to La Veranda read more

The family decided to give this place a try after church. It has been newly remodeled. It has pretty authentic Mexican food with an emphasis on seafood dishes. I went for me old standby of beef taquitos with rice and beans. The food was tasty and prices were decent. They have a bar and I decided a michelada was a good beverage of choice. I would come back just be aware of the fact this is a nicer hole in the wall, nothing more nothing less. read more

Great atmosphere for any family gathering food is delicious. Entertainment is great for sure a dumbs up

This place is terrible. The food is disappointing and generic, plus over priced for what you get. Way to loud with people trying to karaoke, you can't even hear the person sitting next to you, so don't take your kids or parents with you not the family place atmosphere, it's definitely more of a corner bar than a restaurant. Service is not good either, servers seem too occupied serving just drinks and forget the rest of the dinners. read more

Me and my sister have came a few times the food WAS amazing, they were always on point and were fast until the recent time we came. Maybe it was a bad day but the food was gross and the waitress were HORRIBLE. They took our menus away before we could order (we only order appetizer) we had to personally flag them down not just once but EVERYTIME we had to order a new deink. They wouldn't bother to come to take our orders and they weren't even busy!!! They only had 3 other tables. It's a hit or miss. But after the last time I won't be back. read more

Okay so wife and I went here for dinner. It was a bday/karaoke night (Friday) when we walked in it was so loud we had to shout to the waitress for a quiet place. We were seated in the back of the restaurant acoustics echoed throughout. Literally had to shout to my wife 2 feet away to say anything to her. Food was okay no complaints there. Service was virtually nonexistent as they were spread too thin apparently. Would go 20-30 min without checking for refills etc. had to waive arms like an idiot to get someone attention for service. 3 security guards on duty which raised our eyebrows as well. On a non karaoke night it would be probably be great, take valuables with you don't leave them in car not best part of town. read more

Good place to go eat we love this place we love the karaoke on Friday nights and Saturday

The first time I visted this place we just came in for margaritas, but once we smelled and saw the steaming plates of food come out we had to order! we had the margaritas with the coronitas in them! they were good. then we ordered the meat molcajete. it was soo good. it came with grilled chorizo, mexican cheese, carne asada, shrimp, nopal (cactus), and onions. That was just in the molcajete it also came with the best salsa, housemade corn/flour tortillas, rice and beans. all for $22-26 depending on what you want in the molcajete. (also 4 people ate from just one molcajete) The service was pretty good, it was kinda loud in there the night we went there was karaoke (i didnt mind it too much because it was funny to hear the drunks get up and sing) I have been here 3 times since my first time and the food has been different each time, the first time everything was really good the best mexican food I have ever had, 2nd time the food was ok service was ehh, 3rd time the food was over salted and i didnt eat vey much. Overall I will be back! read more
