It's about a 6 minute taxi ride from there. We were seated in the back room with the writing covering the walls. The front bar seemed a little livelier but we took what was offered. Husband had house red wine (3.50 euros) and I had sangria (4.50 euros). Good pours for both. We started with the red shrimp (gambillos) in a lemongrass sauce, about 6 shrimp for 15 euros. Then grilled octopus (which was very tender) over mash potatos and snap peas for 15 euros. We also had a side of grilled bread (4 pieces) for 3.5. We also ordered the Pepita beef with mash potato but took home for dinner as we were full (18 euros). We finished with the homemade corn ice cream with carmelized popcorn and raspberries, which was very unique at 6.5. We added our names to the wall to top off the meal. Service was quick and friendly. Total bill was 85 euros including 5 drinks. It was our best meal in Barcelona so far.

The 1906 or something beer was surprisingly good and kind of honey sweet. Cava was great with jamon. The only bad thing is that sitting at the bar, people will keep hitting your backside unless you scoot in sideways Need cash to leave tip : s

We ordered the beef tenderloin both nights, the gorgonzola ravioli both nights, the woodfired shrimp , the Esaliveda salad - goat cheese w/ eggplant and peppers - delicious! The tuna belly w/ tomatoes (just ok); salmon, grilled avocado & mango; (very good); grilled guacamole - ta half avocado grilled w/ chopped tomato and onion - tasty; grilled skirt steak w/ baked potato (good, but beef tenderloin was better); prawn & squid skewer (very good). Save room for the small dessert tapas: We tried three and loved them all: the bread pudding - insane!; the pistachio ice cream - so creamy and tasty; and the ice cream sandwich btwn wafers - tasty! If I lived in Barcelona, I would definitely be a regular here!

We tried it at basically every establishment. - cod with honey aioli, love me some cod or Chilean seabass cooked well with a great sauce. - fried anchovies - light easy to eat bones and all. Crispy and salty. - fried squid, cuttlefish, & small fish + peppers assortment - very small portion, probably like a fried calamari itself better but not bad and the peppers had a nice smokiness to them. - Iberian ham + chicken croquetas. All croquetas were pretty much the same everywhere we tried them. And in a mushy puree style filling. I like croquetas though, easy to eat! - lobster rice terrible personally, would NOT get this dish. Basically just a shell for flavor and the rice was dry - beef tenderloin w/ foie gras cooked perfectly, went so well with the foie gras topping. Dessert: - mini ice cream sandwiches wafer sandwhich cubes with vanilla in middle - fried banana crème brûlée - really good creamy and not overly sweet Would come back!

Talk about delicious! This was my first meal during my trip to Barcelona and it did not disappoint…read more Wine and tapas, Bae! Because you know you gotta get some of that when you're in Spain. I'm here to tell you that the tapas were tapa-ing hardcore. They were simply scrumptious! Saw this place during my walk down Rambla de Catalunya. It's perfectly tucked right in the heart of the busy street, and they have a lovely patio area that's right in the thick of it all. Unfortunately, the patio was full and busy, so I opted for a table inside. Definitely wasn't a bad choice. Their interior is so cute and cozy! The Spanish bodega vibes were swarming all over the place. I just loved it. I've learned that the service element in Spain is generally very different from the US. In saying this; don't expect to be wowed by the service here. But the tapas are truly scrumptious! I enjoyed the followed tapas: Grilled prawns - Geeeezuuus! These were mouthwatering! I grew up eating prawns without the heads and skins on, but now I understand why they keep them on here. The prawn heads preserve all of the juiciness and flavors. These were cooked and seasoned perfectly and I could not get enough. Fried potatoes - Amazing! I've had these at Spanish restaurants in the US, but there really IS a difference in the way that they're prepared here. The crispiness is just delightful, but it's the sauces that really did it for me. Not sure what kind of sauces were used (one red and one white) but they added a beautiful taste to these already yummy potatoes. Meat croquettes - Scrumptious! These croquettes have a mix of minced meats inside that are so tender and flavorful. And the breading is absolutely perfect. They paired perfectly with my wine too. Speaking of wine; the Spanish red wine that I had was dynamite! Can't comment on the specific varietal but it was so smooth and silky. I meeeaan... dinner was delicious!!! They set the bar pretty high for the restaurants that followed. Although the service wasn't the best, the wine and tapas most certainly impressed. I'd come back for more of those tasty tapas any day.

We sat inside at a cozy table for two surrounded by walls with olive oils, wines, vermouth, pickles and other wonderful things. A small bar with room for 4- 6 to cozy up. They were pleasant and efficient despite the crowd. It's a comfortable laid back venuWe loved the atmosphere of this small tucked in tapas bar in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
