Wonderful restaurant off the beaten path. Recommended in the NY Times. Quiet and a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of many of the other Madrid tapas bars and eateries.
Food was very good, with a varied menu with lots of options and very good service as well. Started with my favorite dish of the night, aubergines with red peppers, onions and hazelnuts. Surprisingly fantastic!
Fried artichokes were well done, lightly breaded and fried and with good salt. It's quiet a large portion, so plenty to share for a table of 4. Mini goat cannelloni was delicate with a nice sauce. Meatballs were in a cream sauce, slightly more cooked than I would have liked, but a nice sauce. The crispy chicken is a slight misnomer. It's stewed chicken thigh meat with crispy potato and a madiera/marsala wine sauce with mushrooms. Very tasty.
