It's not bad for logan! There pico is amazing, that's if they actually give it to you when you do take out. (you have to make it very clear you want a side of pico or they wont give it to you) There rice and beans are good. My only complaint is probably the meat sometimes its good but sometimes every other bite is eating a piece of gristle which after awhile makes me sick to my stomach and not want to eat it anymore. read more

Holy Crap. Who gave this restaurant 4 stars. They must be drunk. It's a shame I have to give it one star. I'd rather give it none. There is only one restaurant I've eaten at my whole life worse than this. The service wasn't terrible, the place seems clean, the people were nice but the food...holy mackerel...the food was awful. 24 hours later I'm still suffering from the over cooked beef enchilada. It's been 14 years since I've lived in Logan so I don't know which Mexican restaurants are good any more but I'm honestly telling you...this one is awful...do not go there. Best tacos in town. Authentic Mexican food at a great price. Yeah the atmosphere is terrible, but that's to be expected. It's a strip mall Mexican place! So, my rating is based on what I expect from such a place. Get the spicy pork tacos and order several of them. read more

Food: The food here is delicious! Not too greasy, and they've got an assortment of unique foods and flavors (you can get cow tongue!). I highly recommend the sweet pork. If you eat at the restaurant, they will also bring extra sauces and vegetables to the table. Hard to beat La Tormenta when it comes to Mexican Food in Cache Valley. The bisteca is on point.

Favorite Mexican food in cache valley, though I always have a difficult time ordering beans and rice. They show a full plate for $1.50, but only bring you out 1/2 a plate with poor portions along with the rest of your meal. Have to admit that we never even tried the food because just walking in the door was a turn off. The floor was sticky and dirty, several tables hadn't been cleared of dirty dishes and there were plastic bins sitting on tables overflowing with uneaten food and dirty dishes. I went there several times for the chicken chimi (yum) but the last time I went there I stopped there on my lunch break hoping they wouldn't be busy luckily they were dead. Even though I was the only customer sitting in that place I had to wait an unbelievable amount of time just to get my drink and chips brought to my table. They even served a couple that walked in a good 30 minutes after I had already ordered before they brought out my chimi. I had to go to the counter and ask how much longer it was going to be before I even got my drink. When my food finally arrived (once again after a couple who arrived much later then me) my chimi was burnt and barely edible. I was actually embarressed I put up with the terrible service after I was given such crappy food. Luckily the prices are low so I wasn't out too much, although I was over 30 minutes late from lunch that day.. why was I willing to wait so long? Because I was so looking forward to a good chicken chimi only to be given little more than garbage. read more

La Tormenta is a great Authentic Mexican restaurant! It's on the northern end of Cache valley, Definitely always worth the drive, They beat the Hell out of taco bell or taco time! I go there regularly. The service is good, and the Prices are better! It's usually busy but the wait is worth it. The service is friendly and only make fun of me a little bit when I attempt to pronounce my order. For an entire dinner meal it is usually around $5-7 dollars. It's definitely not fast food! The environment is good, usually takes about 25 minutes for the food, While you wait you can entertain yourself by watching the Mexican TV station, With acting so bad I would rather stare at the wall. The only good thing about Mexican Television is when they bring out the weather girl. Anyway, They have daily specials where you can get full meals for like $5. I usually order Carne asada, a plate that comes with meat, rice, beans and tortillas to make burritos with. Other great options are Chili Verde, Bistec Ranchero. They have plenty off salsas and toppings, The salsas are very good but very hot. Many People order a Menudo soup with shrimp and other strange things floating in it. It looks disgusting but apparently lots of people like it. Why would you ever spend $7 on a McDonald's big mac and fries when you can spend the same price for an entire plate of delicious Mexican food that comes with avocado, lettuce, and tomatoes. The restaurant also sells lots of Mexican candy, I have tried some and in my opinion they are absolutely nasty, like why would a candy taste like jalapeno? Everyone in Logan says this place offers the best Mexican food. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Food is barely average. The seating is like an old McDonald's--hard booths, some hard chairs at tables, zero atmosphere. Order and pay at the counter and then get your food when it's ready. It comes in baskets. Could not be more gas station fast food-like. Save your money, even though their proves are quite low. Cafe Sabor is much nicer and the food is far superior! read more

Sounds like torture, I know right! But it's really not. If fact I'm a regular there. Yep. It's that good. And it's so cheap too. I think the most expensive thing on the menu is maybe like $6.00. Whenever I go to this authentic mexican place I usually the the carne asada taco. It's $1.00! I've tried every flavor of taco and that one is my favorite. They have chicken, pork, spicy pork, cabeza, and ... maybe a few more I can't remember. You can ask for cheese and they'll add some nice goat cheese to it too. With every order they bring out a little trio of either jalapenos and carrots, grilled onions, pico de gallo and green hot sauce. All three are usually consumed with every visit. There is other good food besides taco's. Smoothered burrito, carne asada plate, a giant fish plate thing, a shirmp soup thing... other things. You can tell I don't branch out too much there. A good thing to know when you go there is that you pay after you eat your food. First you stand in line, order, find a seat and they bring you your food. If you want a drink refill just ask, (or like my Dad, go get it yourself. Ya he's like BFF's with the girls that work there). So I think that I should create a contest. A TACO EATING CONTEST. I don't know why, but every time i go their I end up getting sick. Also a little disgusted by the kitchen. I had went in their with some friends, when one of her little boy's started to take off. After getting him, I noticed that the kitchen was not all that clean looking. I had been in their before with some friends, only to have an upset stomach afterwards. I believe the place could use more space, it does see, to be pretty small. The price is really good. I do not know if it's me or what, but just getting sick afterwards really scares me. read more

My husband and I were very excited to try out the Authentic Mexican Food we have been hearing others rave about. We were NOT impressed. The food was very bland, the service was poor, the salsa was awful. Somehow my meat was dry but my plate was covered in grease. The only real flavor we could taste was onion and garlic. I ordered a taco and an enchilada platter and my husband ordered a burrito. We also ordered a side of chips and salsa. Maybe it was an off night for them but we will not be coming back.
