    Carne asada is the best.

What a fun little market! Complete with piñatas, fresh baked goods, and TACOS. Not the bad kind of tacos, but the DANG GOOD kind of tacos. Really though, if you're looking for some great and authentic Mexican food and grocery, be sure to check this place out. The employees are all very helpful and happy; and again, the food is fabulous. There is a taco truck outside--you order there, go inside, grab a jarrito soda pop, and take a seat in one of the booths. As you sip your beverage, let the salsa and onion/cilantro toppings envelope your senses. You can even close your eyes to get the full effect--go ahead, do just that. The employees bring your tacos TO you. Squirt that lime on your tacos (notice I said tacoS, because you can't just eat one) and be sure to dress it up with hot or mild salsa. You pay for your meal afterwards at the cash register, but don't forget to take a stroll through the grocery store before. Grab a bag of chili dusted suckers or some homemade bread to top off your night! TIPS & TRICKS: * Tacos are only $0.50 on Wednesdays. You can pay with a card if you get at least 10, so if you don't think you can eat that much (pansy) just go in with a pal and have them pay you back later...with more tacos. * Turn into the second parking spot, the first turn in is slightly small and might hurt your car. Just a little trick I learned. * ¡Que tengas divertido!

Writing this review as a grocery shopper, not a taco eater. I'm coming from California so I will say my standards of Mexican markets is pretty high. Their meat selection is good and they will marinate it for you- five stars there. They also have staples that I needed like Mexican chocolate (for Mexican mochas) and all the spices. What brought me down to four stars is the produce. I would have liked to see a fresher selection with a few more options. They had a lot of fridge space that was not occupied, so this is a feasible option. Many markets also have fresh salsa for sale in the grocery store, not this one unfortunately. They do have raspados- Mexican shaved ice with natural fruit syrups. I have yet to try one but will post an update when I do. There are always people purchasing them when I come here so I'm assuming they're good! Lastly, service is friendly even for a half-Mexican like me trying to practice my Spanish with the employees. Tip: credit card purchases need to be $5 or more.

Delicious tacos AH YUM. One tip I have is to go with someone who knows Spanish... But it isn't necessary :)

WOWOWOW. A college student's dream! Authentic mexican market & carne esada tacos that are to die for. On Wednesdays they're $0.50 each! I order 6-8. It's super busy on Wednesdays so sometimes you have to swan dive if you want to get a table and it might be about a 20 or so minute wait. The market for the most part is clean(ish). But you don't care once you taste those tacos. They're tiny and yummy filled up with onion/cilantro mix, guacamole, and salsas (which you put on yourself). Mm mmmm mm! They make Wednesday's a day to look forward to.

I didn't think I would like the green one but it was my favorite. Chips were warm and just the right amount of salt. I always over order so I can have leftovers for lunch. I had a 3 item combo with a cheese enchilada no onion, ground beef taco, and a relleno. I always have to try a chile relleno when I go to a new state. I had to ask how they made it cause some places make it different than what I am used to. There was an option in the menu that read $2.99 for an authentic relleno. I had to ask. The server explained that what comes with the plate is like an omelette style with the chile cut up (that's what I understood). I was thinking, "Really! I have to pay $3 extra to get a traditional style item. That should be offered automatically if you are serving traditional food." I paid the extra cause I wasn't going to have the 'omelette' style. The taco was ok. The ground beef wasn't hitting me right but I ate it. The rice was good. The beans started out ok but then started to taste funny. I stopped eating them. The relleno started out really good. Nice flavor, easy to cut, lots of cheese. About a 1/3 way through I couldn't cut the chile with my fork and the flavor started to change. I couldn't eat anymore. I took the enchilada and rice with me and left the rest.
