I love the Chef's Tasting Menu. Their sommelier has some amazing wines from around the world. He even paired Pear Coder with the cheese course, which was a pleasant surprise. La Toque is a must every time I visit Napa. The staff their work like a well oiled machine to keep the courses flowing. The service is very cordial and welcoming. I highly recommend the Kobe Beef upgrade as well, and I am usually a frugal diner. Delicious!

Lovely experience. Service was top notch. Special thnx to sweet Norma, who paid close attention and offered to pack up each dish for me that I couldn't finish. 6 courses are a lot and I wasn't about to overstuff myself to get through everything. I'm good with a few tastes and onto the next. Love that I had leftovers to savor the next day as well! Norma's been with La Toque for 20 years, starting at their Rutherford location and then now in Napa. It was delightful to hear and see how she loves what she does. Food was good and flavorful. I liked the quail and the pasta. Loved the wagyu upgrade, definitely melted in my mouth. Being a French restaurant, I was really hoping foie gras was part of the tasting menu, a little disappointed it was not. I can't keep up with the California ban, on, off, yes, no, loopholes, whatnot, it would've been nice. It was nice way to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great 2-hour tasting experience.

Really enjoyed the foods and ambiance there. Service was great, and Mother's Day brunch price is very reasonable with the amount and selections of dishes.

The Service and Staff are IMPECCABLE!!! They take their time with you and explain the delicacy of each dish. They are so kind and really want to make sure you are enjoying your dining experience. The food is without a doubt, the most exquisite food that I have ever had. The softness of the food at just the right moments the flavors that have been so meticulously paired together is just amazing. I cannot rave enough about the dishes that I have never had carpaccio before, and I probably will never order it from another restaurant because this restaurant at the bar so high with the quality and flavor of the foods I don't think any other restaurant could compete. If you're looking for a very intimate, elegant dining experience I definitely recommend this restaurant. It has its own distinct dining experience!!!

We enjoyed a taste of Lyon tasting menu for restaurant month 2026. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was absolutely first class! We enjoyed a four course tasting menu with four wine pairings which were perfectly suited for the dishes they were paired with! As a bonus at the end of the evening we got to meet chef Ken Frank.

We celebrated our 15th anniversary at La Toque with a scrumptious black truffle dinner with pairings.. the ambience was elegant and the service impecable. Every dish was presented beautifully and masterfully paired with Old and New World wines. The best chicken I have ever had! Truffles truly elevate this experience.

I'll say Latoque was 'OK' sortof. But the reality is I walked away from courses and wine pours and no one seemed to care. Although when they asked how things were and I said I was shoked that the Chesapeake Bay Striped Bass wasn't seaasoned and I was left to scrape off the skin & dark meat. The person who asked how things were going kind of put his nose up and offered me octopus. No, if I'm not happy with the striped bass (a simple thing to cook) I'm not going to say yes to octopus. So we went on with the chef course and wine pairing (which I also walked away from some wine too). I will say, the front of the house staff tried, the unfortunate thing is the back of the house staff didn't try. I give latoque 2 stars. It wasn't for me, maybe it's for you. I just know I wont go back and they didn't try to make me go back even though I was honest it just isn't worth a Michelin star in my opnion. Please know I let them know I wasn't happy and I still paid full price and didn't ask for a discount. I wanted to like this spot, I just didn't. I'm hoping I'm not sick from how raw the lamb chop was tonight. Also, some super weird "yes chef" type chanting was happening from the kitchen. I could hear them talking from the kitchen about how I wasn't happy and how they were going to present the lamb. Just odd.

What an amazing tasting menu and service! We are vegetarian and their vegetarian tasting menu was incredible. We got a bottle of Hamel Cabernet and it may have been the best wine we have ever had. The service was probably the best we had in Napa our entire trip. Cannot recommend enough!

Chef Ken Frank world renowned epicurean Chef.

I have been looking forward to going to this restaurant with the world renowned Chef Ken Frank located at the Westin in downtown Napa. The restaurant is open, sterile and has some warmth with the fireplace and a row of booths on opposite sides of the restaurant. We had the 3 course tasting menu and dessert paired with wine. The theme was Lyonnaise , first course was a soft cheese with toasted bread, second course was lardons and frisée salad, third course pistachio sausage served with a dollop of mashed potatoes and cooked carrots. The dessert "Il Flottante" a cream with meringue floating on top with a drizzle of Carmel. Like most high-end dining you never know what you're going to get ( like the French Laundry and other Michelin star restaurants ) it may be something that you love or it may be something that you enjoy but wouldn't order again. The service was exceptional, the wine pairing was excellent and the food was unique and an epicurean experience. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the renown Ken Frank. What a wonderful evening!!

Does this look like Cioppino to you?

Everything could have been better. We checked into the Westin in Napa for a one night get-a-way. We noticed the restaurant which claimed to be a Michelin stared restaurant was attached, so we changed our other reservation to eat there. Mistake number one. Christiana was lovely and though we felt underdressed she said it was fine. Later we discovered no was "dressed". It's so sad to see people in t-shirts spending $200+ per person for dinner. We are not at the beach. We brought a Nickel & Nickel $200 bottle of wine, but to save another $50 dollar corkage fee we bought a $165 bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir which was ok, but not spectacular. I'd rather have a $20 Bogle that tastes just as good! The pre dinner taster was good and served in a lovely manner. It took a while to get our wine. The arugula and etc salad was light and tasty, but nothing special. My husband's beef and pasta dinner with fried onions on top was tasty, but there was very little beef for the price. My cioppino was not good. There was not much fish, a lot of croutons (who puts those in this), no squid, canned mussels, no shrimp or crab and a lot of pasta circles. I ordered cioppino not pasta. I told our rather pompous waiter it was really bad. Since my husband told him it was my birthday he brought out a beautiful plate with tiny dark chocolate desserts right after I told him I do not like dark chocolate. Too funny. I told the waiter I thought the cioppino was terrible. We were still charged. I'm so sorry he has the same name as my son as he was pompous beyond belief. The sommelier had worked his way up from being a server, so was not a sommelier. The whole thing was a $400 joke. What a joke. I will not eat here again or refer people to it!

The staff were rude and made us feel like we did not belong just because my child was walking around at the back of her high chair. By the second course I lost my appetite from worrying we would be kicked out. I am even more disappointed because I had been asking my husband to bring me here for months, and this was how it turned out. They seem to cater more to older people who do not have kids and were very rude to families. The food was not good either. For a restaurant that claims to be high end, the service was anything but friendly. Definitely not kid friendly and not worth the experience. Edit: Your statements about my child "screaming and running around the tables" are completely false and inappropriate. We were respectful guests, and any review implying otherwise is both inaccurate and defamatory. The restaurant has cameras that can confirm this. Please be advised that false public statements about our behavior can constitute defamation of character. This message serves as written notice of my objection to your misleading comments made during what was supposed to be a fine dining experience.

Exceptional service and amazing dining experience. The black truffle dining experience was phenomenal. Such a special way to celebrate our anniversary.

I'm quite surprised by the mixed reviews of this place because I had a fabulous dining experience this second time around! Mind you, I'm not the most experienced Michelin star connoisseur, so my experience may be different from yours. I made my reservations online, and we found parking on the street pretty easily. We were thankfully on time since our hotel was less than 15 minutes away. I was here three years ago, and there are a few minor changes to the restaurant, but it remained pretty much the same. The decor is classic with a dark ambiance in the main dining area. They also have a well lit porch area, which gave that area a more lively feel. Cocktails: Porn star martini. This was a nice light drink. I enjoyed the meld of vanilla and passionfruit. It comes with a small glass of Prosecco, which was an interesting pairing. Personally, I don't think the drinks go well together, but I won't say no to another drink! Chef's Tasting Menu: This will make you full! I enjoyed all of the dishes! My favorites - Crab in the broth, scallops, oxtail, and deer! Now let me say, I'm not a big fan of game meat because I don't like the aftertaste and texture. However, the deer was seared so perfectly with nary a hint of gaminness to it! And the oxtail was smooth like butter! To tell you the truth, I was so full after the main entree, it was hard to enjoy the next two courses! But of course, the rum ice cream was so good! It wasn't alcohol forward. You also receive a box of chocolates to go. I was pleased to see that they had a pumpkin chocolate. My closest friends know that I love pumpkin and this was a nice treat to have at home. The pacing between dishes was on point, with even the executive chef and owner delivering some of the dishes. We chatted with him for a bit, and he was a friendly guy. The servers were constantly attentive, and I appreciate the level of service that we were given. It's definitely a night to remember! And yes, I would return again! Was it expensive, yes! But the quality of food and the service was amazing and well worth the return back from me.

The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. These arancini are perfectly fried crab meat rolled into a ball served over a delicious tartar sauce. I wish I had 3 orders of this, at least. We ordered the soup of the day and their bread service. The soup was a white bean and sausage and it was perfectly salty and fatty. The bread and butter was a perfect accompaniment. The Carpe Diem salad was also really special. It had these Cabernet soaked dried cranberries that were so good and tart. For an entree, we ordered the short ribs which come over a risotto. It felt a little heavy, and maybe the sauce could've used a little acid to cut the heaviness. It was still really delicious though. For dessert, we had the espresso crème brûlée. This was just the icing on the cake of a great meal. I love Carpe Diem and hope to come back soon!
