I inquired with LA Tint via their website, which was very well structured and utilized their "make an appointment" link the night before. I received a positive response to my question the next morning with all my questions answered by a person named Amy. Amy let me know there were openings the same day as well as the next couple days so I had options to choose from. She quoted me for the Formula One Tint...classic, comfort and pinnacle. I wasn't looking for anything too expensive so my choices were Classic and Comfort ($229 and $279 not including tax). Now, they have coupons which allow for some discount (see website) but it's solely for them to apply "legal" tint on your vehicle (for me i have VA plates so 50% front, 35% back). If you wanted to get something darker up front/back then it has to be cash payment with no discounts. For me I paid $279 plus tax...around $295. She said it would take 2 hours to apply. I went in the same day (within an hour of speaking to Amy) and she showed me a couple cars that had some of the variations I was looking for. By the way, the shop is very clean, organized and non-chaotic looking. I finally determined what I wanted based on this demonstration of this heat machine/display they had so I chose "Comfort" ...between classic and comfort it was only a $50 difference. I got 35% all around the car. They took my keys and remarkably after an hour my car was completed! Took half the time they originally told me! I was very happy with the job and they clearly explained to me what to expect the next few days and how to care for the tint. So far so good and can't wait to see the final results after the waiting period is done for my 2013 VW CC. Hopefully no bubbles are present (or fingers) but they said they would handle that with their lifetime warranty. I've had my Dodge Dakota tinted here twice and I have been very happy with the quality of the product, workmanship and the customer service. L.A. Tint offers the Pinnacle tint film which is of great quality. It doesn't interfere with any of the electronics and helps reduce the amount of sun light in the vehicle significantly and also looks good. In my opinion this place is reasonably priced, you get a great product and great service. If you want to go the cheap route then have at it...you wont be satisfied in the long run. The quality of work was installed very well and clean and didn't take long either. The cleanliness of the storefront was top notch each time I've brought my vehicle here. It's definitely not a sketchy unwelcoming storefront unlike some auto shops. The installers are very cool and generous, and easy to talk to if you had any questions or concerns. I will definitely bring my truck back to this shop to perform any other work to be done and refer L.A. Tint of Manassas to friends/family. I had previously written a review of disappointment in LA Tint, I had asked for the classic tint for my appointment and when they ran out, I had to get the comfort tint and was charged for it. I spoke with the owner, Chris and he assured me that this was a mistake on their end and that they would refund me the difference between the two. Went here to tint windows , guy sells me their most expensive tints over 450$ for 2 door car , supposedly it doesn't interfere with navigation . Since I was already there and didn't want to stay there googling if this is true or conning me , I went with 450$ tints for 2 door car. After tints was done I noticed there were many bubbles on all windows few days later , I bring vehicle back to have it taking care of , tint installer says it's okay can't notice bubbles from far distance . I called talked to owner he didn't do anything to resolve or refund and take back the tints . Waste of my time driving there back and forth , waste of gas , waste of wear n tear on vehicle . I checked with other tinters in area recently about tints interfering with nav he said that was twenty years ago . read more

I can say hands down the best customer service I have ever had. The receptionist was very polite, professional and took her time to answer all of my questions even though it was busy. She went over everything thoroughly for me so I made sure I understood and made the right decision. The work was exceptional. It looks amazing on my new car. L.A. This is the best tinting place around town. I've owned several vehicles over the years and this place KNOWS how to install tint! In fact, I drove 75+ miles round trip just to get my Lexus SUV tinted here. All tint is custom cut by a computer and not a razor blade. I had FormulaONE tint on my Audi (12years ago) and it only recently started to fade. It was 100% covered under warranty with labor. I had the latest equivalent installed at no charge at another facility. No issues with install/appointment/payment. Cost was exactly as described on the phone. read more

Got my 2011 Honda civic tinted by them and the film already started peeling in the back when I called to have it fixed I was told I needed my reciept but they never gave me one in the first place now it would cost $300+ To fix I would not recommend getting your tints here. read more

Immediately after I left LA Tint, and since there has been a loud clicking noise coming from inside my driver door panel whenever I am turning the vehicle with the window partially down. It is a brand new car, no one else has touched the doors/windows. They obviously left something loose/incorrectly tightened after performing the tint job. When I contacted them about when they could fix their mistake, I was met with abruptness "We didn't take the door panel off" and was suggested I take it to a service garage for repair. Fact is, I actually do work in the Service Department at another garage, so getting their mistake fixed isn't a problem. But I shouldn't have to waste the time of another profressional to correct the mistake of the LA Tint "professionals". There are many other cheaper options available in the area. I originally went to LA Tint because I wanted to get a professional job done on my brand new car. This was a mistake. read more

By far the most rude and frustrating experience I've ever had dealing with a business. Chris Gordon at LA Tint in Manassas makes you feel like he is doing you a favor by merely acknowledging your presence. He has the personality of a rock and his attitude and customer service skills are probably the reason his station in life will not improve. Perhaps that is the basis for his lack of personality. Either way, after two conversations with him, we decided to take our car to Contour Tinting in Chantilly where the staff, especially Tim, was very accomodating, provided the information we needed, and was able to provide the services we required, and at a better price. If you don't have an issue with the lack of customer service or being treated like dirt from a moron who should be kissing your butt to earn your business and confidence in his product and services, then by all means, you are welcome to deal with Chris Gordon of LA Tint, you won't be disappointed with his lack of social skills - in fact, you may want to grunt and crush beer cans on your forehead with him. Good luck if you ever need to go back to get something repaired - I'd be interested to read from someone who has had the pleasure of that experience. I am a repeat customer of LA Tint. I had them tint my 2004 BMW M3 about 4 years ago using Pinnacle ceramic tint film and have been extremely happy with the results. After 4 years the window tint on my M3 still looks brand new as if they just installed it. I will say that you really get what you pay for! Unfortunately the window tint shops in New England where I live do not use Pinnacle ceramic window tint film so when I had the opportunity to bring my 2008 Porsche 911 down, I set up my appointment with Amy to have the same window tint installed on my Porsche. I was originally supposed to bring my Porsche to their shop for an 11am appointment and when I called to confirm my appointment I was able to switch my appointment to 9am instead! Amy made the whole process easy which I really appreciated. Everyone at LA Tint are so easy to work with...reminds me just how easy they were to work with when I first set up my appointment for my M3! The results on my Porsche is just as stunning as they were on my M3. I can easily tell you that I am a very satisfied and happy customer. Stopped into L.A. Tint on my way home from work a few weeks ago and spoke with Chris. Told him what I wanted out of the film and he explained the different types of film and what they accomplished. Set up an appointment for the next day as that was my day off. Tint turned out great was done in about an hour I couldn't be happier. There is one thing that aggravates me is this Patrick S fella. I delt with Chris and he was very nice to me and very acomadating on what I wanted to have done to my car, if you had a problem with him talk with someone else don't go and call him names and such. I feel you didn't get what you wanted for the price you wanted to pay and so there for felt you needed to call a guy names to make yourself feel better. I wanted to do a full car wrap and wanted to get the project going. I had ideas and concepts and wanted the professional designer to patch it up all together and give that "wow" factor. I visited their location and had a chance to discuss the concept that I had in mind. I got a brief estimate of the project and the price was actually what I thought, so no surprise there. I emailed Josh with the images that I wanted to put on the vehicle and waited for a design. .. waited... waited..waited. After 2 weeks or so I decided to call in the check the progress. So I got a call from Josh saying that he emailed me the design. It is very rare for me to miss an email. So I asked if he can send it to me again. I texted my email address just to make sure he wasn't getting mixed up with different clients/projects. Well, I waited...waited..waited...and it has been almost 3-4 weeks. Okay, I have to get this project get going and I don't want to push or bother or rush. Since it is a big project, I don't want to rush and mess anything up. If there is anything up in the air, I am more than happy to clarify it. But at this point OVER A MONTH PAST I feel like they don't want to pursue with this project. I had to locate another company to work on this project in a very short time frame. I am rushing and stressing and getting chased by a very important deadline. Since it is a time crunching project, I had to pay 40% more to get the project up to speed. It is absolutely reasonable for the other company to ask the extra charge, but I felt like it would have been a better scenario if LA Tint were a bit more responsive and cooperative. Or if it was something that LA Tint didn't want to do, or can't do (whatever the reason may be) letting me know and being honest with me might have helped me stress wise and time wise (and financial wise too!). I am upset about the outcome because I was really excited to work with them on this project. Up to this moment I don't know what held them back from getting it going. read more

I have had 6 of my cars done at there shops since 1998. One at the Alexandria shop, two at the now closed Woodbridge shop, and three at the Manassas shop. I used to own my own business and install tint. These guys are way better than I ever was. Chris is one of the installers, I have followed him to what ever one of their shops he is at. Currently Manassas, used to be at Woodbridge for a while. I have also purchased 3 gift cards for family members, one just went there today. He got the same exceptional workmanship I always have. That is 9 cars total in 16 years, all perfect. I am about to take another one of mine next week. They may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Look at all the bad tint jobs you see with bubbles in them driving around, that is the 99 dollar jobs, these guys fix those. When they did my 300C SRT8 they used one piece on the rear window, and heat shrunk it to a precise fit. They had one in the parking lot that they were about to fix. The shop that had done that one used 5 pieces to do the rear window and it looked horrible. read more
