This is a late reaction, but a positive one. Took in my 07' Honda Civic Ex Coupe. 35% all around tint, because I didn't want to risk going "too illegal" and catching po-po's attention. Also, I'm not in the mood to wipe out any pedestrians so I went more reserved on the tint. (Despite wanting darkest, stealth tint.) They were responsive the first time I called. Jeff did an awesome job on my car! I just got a new (used) car and I needed a darker tint to help protect my skin against the sun (I have a history of skin cancer). He was able to recommend a tint to me and installed it so quickly. I have to wait to get the front windshield done, but I will be back. The tint they have can block a HUGE amount of UV rays (the ones that damage your skin). Once again, my fellow Yelpers led me to exactly what I needed (thanks to all)!! Window tinting is not as big a deal in New England as it is in the Mid-Atlantic, so I figured I should look around down here while I am here for the summer, and leave this to the pros who do it year-round (rather than a place that offers it as a "side" option, perhaps only doing a dozen or so per year). After reading a lot online about tinting, I decided the Llumar brand was the way to go, their site listed LA Tint, and Yelpers confirmed this was the place to call (I noticed some of the other places around - that do not use Llumar - do not even advertise what they DO use). I emailed for info on how long it would take, estimate, etc and Geoff replied in a few hours. I made an appointment, and since I only needed the two front windows done (the others were done by the factory), he was able to get me in the following afternoon. I drove from Pentagon City, not far at all, and my dog and I sat in the waiting area and watched the process (pretty fascinating). I don't know the name of the two installers, but the initials on my receipt are AJ and JS; both were really nice and recommended that I buy a spray glass cleaner WITHOUT ammonia. Terrific service, nice people and the final cost was $10 less than expected. My car has only been tinted for about 3 hours, so I'll only speak to the customer service and current look: Excellent. I made the decision to get my windows tinted because my 4 month old is getting crushed by sunlight on the long morning drive to daycare and home in the early evening. I've never been a fan of tint -- probably because I was used to seeing so much purple tint growing up -- and I was skeptical. My auto dealer recommended LA Tint, and a car-fanatic colleague independently said "They're the best" when asked if he knew where I should go. The professionals at LA Tint answered all my questions and patiently explained the process and what I should expect. They even talked through the different options in terms of level of tint and percentages. They were able to schedule an appointment for me within 2 days of calling, were ready at my appointment time, and finished when they said they would be done. Say what you will about Virginia's tint laws, I think the 50/35 looks good. Assuming the curing and drying is done in the 24-48 hours, and I have no issues with the tint, I'll be back in a few months to edit this post for 5 stars. read more

When you want it done right, La Tint is the place. I had gone to two other tint shops prior to visiting LA tint and neither of them could get the job done right. I took my corvette into Geoff and 1 hour later out came perfection. Not only was the job superb but the quality of the films he uses are the best in the business. 3 years later the tint looks like it did when it left his shop. I can't say that about other tint places I have used in the past on my other vehicle. Those guys were the cheapest shop at the time, but now I realize spend a bit more upfront for a good quality job that will last. Geoff is also an car/motorcycle enthusiast himself, so it's nice to do business with people that enjoy their craft and are actually into it. You can tell he is passionate in what he does and it show's in the craftsmanship in his work. He won't be the cheapest he also won't be the most expensive, but he does quality work that you will be happy with for a reasonable price. That's all you can ask for isn't it?
