I just had the windows of my third car tinted at Contour Tinting. The owner is professional providing me a thorough understanding of the various tints available and the prices. He also prevented me from making a costly mistake of my windshield. I wanted the tint an inch or so lower than what is allowed by Virginia law. Being a reputable shop he informed me he could do what I was asking but more than likely you will be back in under a year to have it removed after failing Virginia's state inspection. I took my dented car to Contour Tinting for a paint-less dent removal based on the advice of my car repair place. While Contour is not a body shop, they still did their best to remove the dent. It's now not visible from a distance and looks much better than before . However, Contour's owner Mr. Tim Davison wasn't satisfied with the outcome and told me I didn't owe him anything even though they worked on my car for a week! This is my 4th vehicle that I've had Contour tint. Tim is an expert in his craft. We all know tint jobs are only as good as who is applying the film. They do use machine cut film here, but it can be printed larger to fit just about to the edge. They mostly use the global brand tint which is widely recognized as on par if not better than other big names. I just had my second Mercedes tinted with Contour Tinting. The first was done over for years ago, and it remained perfect up until the day that I sold the car. The second was done just recently, and the job is impeccable. I would highly recommend these folks for your tinting needs. Pros - Great price with the machines to cut the tinting for a perfect fit. Cons - Not the best looking shop around, but I would rather they concentrate on the job. Overlook the waiting area, you will be so happy with the result. Great place! Went in recently to get my coupe tinted and I couldn't be happier with the result. One of the two guys who work there was really helpful on what percentage of tint I should get. Of course you can get an illegal tint done, but he does disclaim all the legal issues that comes along with it. I went for the standard 50 in front and 40 in the back/rear. Was thinking about going past the legal limit, but 50/40 actually looks like the perfect amount! These guys were very quick and thorough. Brought my car in and it took the allotted 1 hour. They informed me that you can''t roll down your windows for the first 2 days and the first 14 days you have to just let the tint do its thing. If there are air bubbles during the first 14 days, just wait it out! If anything after that occur, they do have a lifetime warranty. Online it says that the price is a spring special, so hurry before the rate goes up! Paying in cash versus credit card differ! read more

Most recently I brought a pre-owned vehicle in to tint. Contour identified several problems caused by the previous owner, and instead of charging me double or triple for the amount of extra labor they had to put in, they didn't change the quoted price of the job at all.
