Really great resource for tile and stone needs! We visited here after looking at backsplash tile options in home Depot nearby, which had about one aisle of tile and stone to pick from for kitchen purposes. However, here at LA tile and Stone, they were aisles upon aisles of different kinds of stone and ceramic and porcelain tiles and more. It was great to see the displays on the walls for special orders, and the tiles and stones in boxes for those that are in stock already. There are so many options with outdoor tiling and indoor tiling options, and also some installed and showcase pieces like tub tiling. Each type was clearly marked on which brand or country they were from, and also what sizes or colors that the tile pattern came in, which was helpful. We quickly were able to find several options for our kitchen backsplash project. They offered a referral service in case we needed to have a tile install service. A couple days later I finally decided on which tile to use, and gave them a call to place an order. To make sure that we had our order correct, the lady told me to text her a photo of the tiles that I had taken. She also explained that with the number of tiles that were in each box I would have to buy a certain number of boxes to cover my project. The invoice was sent, and the tiles were ready when promised, only a couple days after I had made the text order. Great experience and would totally use LA tile and stone again for inspiration or for our next project! read more

GREAT tile selection...and fast and transparent customer service! Would def recommend buying higher quality and more unique tile here (ranging from pricey to very reasonable) than Home Depot! read more

By far the best prices and selection. They quoted me $7.99 a sq ft for tile that others quoted at $16.99 and $19.99.

I've been coming here for years. No need to travel far and wide for great selection and prices! Top notch customer service too!

WOW! Great tile store. Great selection.Found vintage tile to repair bathroom. Staff are all friendly, helpful & knowledgable. They even called as soon as our order was in. Will be our first go to place from now on. Parking is limited but Home Depot (next door) has lots of parking. read more

Dishonest! I bought a huge load of items from here for a re-tiling project. One of the sales associates recommended a tile glue for one particular corner of our bathroom. Our tile installer took one look at the package and said it's no good and not necessary. When I went to return it the next day, the woman at the counter said the item is non-refundable. The kit was never opened, taped seal was never opened and in a brand new condition. There's a sign by the register that indicates "no return on special order items." This tube of glue was not a special order. Nowhere or at no point was that mentioned during the purchase. I hate places like this. I purposely purchased from them because I want to support smaller businesses. I could have gone to Home Depot next door and purchased everything for 10-20% less, but they, in turn, do nothing to provide customers with care. They lost a valuable customer because of that silly glue. I will never shop here again. read more

Looking for tile when you are in a time crunch is stressful, but I'm so glad I L.A. Tile and Stone. Not only are they open on Sundays, but they have basic tile in stock! I was looking for black hexagons and was able to find what I wanted and take it home the same day. Prices are competitive with other tile distributors, and the staff is helpful as well. It is right next to a Home Depot, and they have a very very small parking lot. We ended up parking at Home Depot and then driving up to load the tile. read more

Their selection of tiles is huge. They had the tile I was searching for, and the price was great! I have been to a few tile stores and this place had the biggest selection. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inside there are hundreds of choices. read more

Loved our new tiles from LA Tile & Stone! They have a great selection with competitive pricing. Surely be back if we need more projects in the future. Shoutout to Mirna for being so helpful & accommodating. read more

La Tile & Stone - Great Tile Selection! - Building Supplies Near Me - Los Angeles, California

See all

I bought "pink" tile for my bathroom renovation. After the first day of tiling I came to see the the tile was "variable" shades of pink. When I called the store they told me it was special order therefore no returns. Then they claimed the "girl" told me it was variable. Not true. After a lot of back + forth they gave me a partial refund. They charged me for the used tile plus a 30% restocking fee. read more

La Tile & Stone - Building Supplies Near Me - Los Angeles, California

LA Tile & Stone has provided the Saltillo and Talavera for three flooring jobs at our house: stoop and foyer, stairs and bathrooms. Tiles are of reliable quality and color, even though we buy from different batches. And when we ran out last week, they filled a same-day emergency order so the job could be completed. Quite satisfied, and I will be back! read more

My only regret is that I wasted time shopping online and at other local shops. After a month of snotty sales folks and out of stock items, LA Tile was able to provide what I wanted, at a very low price, within 48 hours of ordering. Super nice folks and great selection of international tiles and other products. Couldn't recommend more highly. read more

Such a great experience. Lots more choices than Home Depot and most in stock! We got it day off. The lady even helped me with paint colors. Highly recommend . read more

Sandy at the front counter was very polite and helpful she was Truly knowledgeable in the material, colors and specifications. overall it was a painless experience I would recommend checking This place out before going to the big name hardware stores read more

Great store and great service. Was shopping around and went to Daltile in the valley. Nice folks but they would custom order my pattern and deliver in 8 weeks! LA tile had a great selection, great price, and would have in 2 days! Also went to a few stores in Beverly Hills before checking here. They had the Exact same tiles on display for about 40% more, so LA tile is a great deal too. Lastly, I'm not a designer or tile expert, but the sales person i worked with was super helpful. She helped show me what options, finishes, and sizes were available. read more

Hard to find tile sizes. Quality at a great price!! Delivered tile within 3 days. Sandy was extremely helpful & knowledgeable!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Super helpful searching for a tile match. Not an easy task as material and style changes. Friendly service.

Great employees and great selection of quartz's. I didn't know how I was going to finalize my kitchen but the employees at LA tile were helpful and patient read more

First time in and I need in-stock options for bathroom shower remodel. Adriana helped me from start to finish and was super knowledgeable and friendly and patient (all the hallmarks of great customer service). I think their pricing is very fair/competitive as well. I will definitely be returning when I'm ready to find my kitchen backsplash. read more

Great service friendly staff, I ordered about 1,800 square ft of pavers they were shipped from Texas, the order was on time as they promised, highly recommend this place. read more

Lots of selection next to a Home Depot. Not a large place but everything is layout with good lighting.

They are open Sundays! I've undergone 2 remodels and both times i have resorted to this place for tile. They are not the cheapest but they have a one day turn around for orders which has been great for me. I've returned, will return in the future. read more

I'm a contractor and this is my favorite place to get materials. I like it so much that I wish I did more tile jobs, so that I could come here more than I do. There's sometimes a clique-y, old-boys' club thing at a lot of lumber yards and supply houses. For real: go to Ganahl lumber looking like a mere homeowner and try to find a sales person who'll be helpful or nice. Typically you'll feel either ignored or like you're somewhere you're not supposed to be. In contrast, American Tile is like a Spanish-speaking version of the sitcom Cheers for people who want to buy tile. There's a cool fatherly kind of guy who's like a hispanic Yoda and a few cute girls behind the counter. My part-time Guatemalan employee would like to treat one of those girls like his princess. read more

While they have a pretty strong selection here, the employees that were working weren't exactly the most helpful when my wife and I stopped by... There were a couple employees helping out a couple other people, and the remaining employees were busier catching up on gossip with one another, then to spend time with us. We definitely don't need our hands held through the whole experience, but we wanted to make sure we didn't overlook any tile options within their huge inventory. My wife said that on a former visit their was another guy who spent A LOT of time explaining tiling etc, so maybe it was just an off day for the employees. read more

Dishonest!! They give you a credit to their store and then never honor it! They say the owner is not available. Been dealing with this for almost a year. I was even willing to buy more material and have them apply my credit towards it (and spend thousands more) but they don't honor the credit. No call back and ignore customer calls. I'll be reporting them to better business Bureau. read more

Great selection of reasonably priced tile for floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and other tile projects. Staff is super helpful, and it's conveniently located right next to the Cypress Park Home Depot, in case you are there anyway buying other home improvement stuff. After discussion with the staff person, I was helpfully steered away from a much costlier option, and chose something much more within our budget that also looks great. He definitely wanted to help us rather than jack up the prices on us. So rare! Turnaround time for our order was quick and reliable. I was impressed by the knowledge and courtesy of everyone I spoke to. High praise! Hint - they rent tile saws and other machinery at much lower prices than Home Depot next door. Bonus hint - You'll probably do much better here if you speak Spanish, but they definitely have English speaking staff too. read more

My "tile guy" is an excellent craftsman, but I'd venture to guess he hasn't quite got the material estimating part down, yet. So. I spent lots of time at American Tile. The prices are very reasonable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful after multiple visits and additional orders. If you luck into their floor stock being all that you need, you'll save a boatload. Tile is complex, because each manufacturer cuts in different sizes, so getting an apples to apples comparison is treacherous. Mary and the sales staff were really great at helping me navigate through the options and the process. read more

I love this place! I had to come in with my toddler several times and the ladies were super helpful and patient with me. I ended up buying tile for my entire house, both bathrooms, kitchen, and fireplace here as well as my countertop and island slab. The selection is huge, prices competitive, but mostly the service is outstanding and homey. Mary went out of her way to make sure I got the slab I wanted on time for installation. I'll be recommending this place to my contractor. read more

Awesome! The kind ladies at the counter helped this DIY'er calculate how much tile I needed for my project. They were helpful and friendly, and offered me some great advice too. My project turned out beautiful and they can take some of the credit for that. Thank you!!!! read more

We've been to a few tile stores..... American Tile has a huge selection, great prices, nice tile demo setups, and great customer service. I especially like their selection/quantity of discount tile (some really great accent pieces were suoer affordable!), and their large stock of ready to deliver tile. Thank you Melanie- we really appreciate your time in helping us with our order. Everyone thinks we spent waaay more on tile than we actually did. Thanks! read more

I walked in with an old sample of tile that I had asked at least 4-5 other tile stores and the girl ( I wish I asked her name so I could say here) looked at the piece and told me the vendor, what style and year and the manufacturing company just by looking at it from across the counter. They definitely know they're game. Props!!! read more

Great source for my basic tile needs. Awesome that they let you return whatever you don't use.

These prices are higher than what you can get at similar stores in the area. They have a high sticker price on the item so they can quote you at a few bucks off, to give the effect that you are getting a deal, when you still aren't. Although the price can be better than going mainstream like, Home Depot, they are still overpriced. They try to push the tiles that they have in stock, are cheaper, and you can return them later if you change your mind. Most of everything else is special order, and there's no changing your mind after that. I found the same glass tile a few miles away for half the price. A total of $100 difference on the whole order. I went on two different days and got two different quotes from two different ladies that said their price was the lowest it could go. I asked for porcelain, they sold me ceramic. i give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the return process was easy and they are quick to fix a mistake. Also, they have a pretty good selection to get some great ideas. read more

I went here on recommendation from my contractor. I bought most of my tile here for my home remodel. They can be helpful, but you have to know what you want, they're not designers. The prices are fair, but a bit more expensive than what you would find in Anaheim on State College Blvd. They were pretty good at first, nice, cordial. I spent a lot of money here because of sq. footage I was given to order by my contractor. Double check your measurements and buy less if you can and if you run out, then buy more. When you buy the tile, make sure you check the pieces, especially liners and decorative pieces. I found some broken pieces here and there, but were exchanged. I would not recommend special order items because there are absolutely no returns/exchanges/credit on these. I am stuck with expensive tile that I was led to believe was top quality and paid more for than any of my other tile. This same special order tile was almost $2 sq. ft. more than tile stores in Anaheim for the exact same tile. Actually a lot of what they have is available in Anaheim for a bit less. I would advise exchanging/returning all items you don't need within their 30 day window. But keep in mind there is a 30% restocking fee. I dont think I would purchase a large amount of tile from here anymore. Only if I was in a bind. read more

These people over here are absolutely fantastic. They gave me so much advice and personal opinions to assist me with making the best choice on a very important and large purchase. I had come back several times to make the right choice and every single time they have been kind and helpful. Not just one individual employee but all of them. They have been amazing. So grateful to have found this tile place with such a wide selection & such a great staff. Ive been to about 5 different tile places around town & this is by far the very BEST. read more

Shocked is all I can say. As a celebrity with a home renovation show, we need to match vintage tile all the time. I decided to give American Tile a shot as we are always looking for great places. I gave them a sample to match. They made the order and placed it wrong. Then it took twice as long to come in again. When we went to install it, the tile DID NOT match the sample in size or grout space. When I went in to let them know, the girls at the desk were so rude and disrespectful, saying, "We can't guarantee that the tile you order is going to match. It changes all the time." Thanks Monica! The worst customer service ever. To all my entertainment colleagues, avoid this place like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The employees here are helpful and skilled at their duties. The ordering process is simple and assistance is offered if you need help picking out the right tile. Orders are often brought in as soon as possible and the tracking for tile is helpful. If they let you know it'll arrive on one day it's usually right. The pricing is perfect for the service and quality. Perfect if you're a contractor picking stuff up for the designer or investors. read more

We had a great experience shopping at American Tile, the staff was very helpful in aiding our selection and recommended a fantastic installer (Eduardo). We paid for the granite on a Wednesday, the installer picked it up and it was installed on Saturday. We came in far enough under budget that we were able to upgrade the sink and faucets we installed as well--How often does anything come in under budget! We highly recommend checking them out if you're in the Silverlake / Echo Park area and are in the market for tile or granite! Great prices. Huge selection. Incredibly friendly and helpfull staff. read more
