They were replacing some of the items on the steam table. I got my favorite yellow rice with pigeon peas and roasted pork. I asked if they have the crunchy pork skin. The whole street the restaurant is on feels steeped in history and this place was no exception. They have pretty expansive list of plates. I ordered the Desayuno Tipico (beans, eggs with salsa, sausage, curtido, a slice of cheese, and pupusas) and it was amazing! I can see why this place is packed during the lunch rush. The prices were reasonable and the portions large. I was able to experience this place earlier in the morning, so it felt like I had the place to myself. I look forward to trying more from this cuisine when the opportunity presents itself! Thanks for a great experience.
