Nice ambiance, average food, horrible service, and automatic 18% gratuity La Terraza is inside of the JW Marriott Miami. Had a late lunch, and the restaurant was practically empty. Food: The Cobb salad was good but not great. The salad had an odd ingredient for this specific salad- avocados. The avocado just didn't work with bacon and blue cheese. And the number of baby tomatoes was minuscule. Service: It took forever to get my salad. I ordered just one item- cobb salad- and the restaurant was basically empty. Adding an automatic 18% gratuity was inappropriate. Overall cleanliness: average

Super nice and accommodating female bartender. We didn't eat an entree, but the appetizer was delicious. Don't forget to get your valet card validated so you don't have to pay $42!

BITCHHHH They had FRESH passion fruit juice and you could taste the difference! Soooo good and definitely a must-try. Everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and the drinks were on point. I'll definitely be back!

This place is still great but let me tell you, it's caught some traction since we were here last!…read moreWe had a slight wait upon entering but sat with 10 minutes. It's a bright, airy, vibrant restaurant on the corner with a beautiful bar. There was not one seat open anywhere on a Thursday afternoon around 1PM. The drinks and food were as wonderful as I remembered. Started with the pistachio and caramel lattes. The lattes are always so indulgent, they give you a spoon so you can eat the rim without looking like a savage buffoon. The pistachio latte was less sweet option of the two but both are great coffee beverages. We split the Cuban sandwich, the Pastrami sandwich and the taco plate with melted cheese on top. The pastrami sandwich was placed on focaccia bread because they were out of sourdough. Didn't take away from the sandwich one bit! The meat in the sandwiches is ample and those tacos are great, we just stay away from the shrimp one now and order two steak and two pork tacos. This place is on the pricier side but the food is really good so we visit every time we're in Miami!

Came to Café Bastille for a Yelp event and brought my mom along for a cute little mother-daughter…read morebrunch date... and Yelp might've put me on to something with this one. First off, the service really stood out to me. Everyone was so welcoming, attentive and genuinely nice. I especially loved seeing how much the staff helped each other. You could literally see the teamwork throughout the restaurant, and I love that because it makes such a difference in the overall experience. Everything flowed, the food came out in a timely manner, and we always felt taken care of. We originally sat outside because the patio is adorable, but Miami started Miami-ing and it was just a little too hot for us lol, so we moved inside. They were super accommodating about it. Also, a little warning from your Yelp friend: downtown Miami parking is atrocious if you don't know the area. Save yourself the character development and Uber. Nowwww, the food. I ordered the passionfruit smoothie, pain au chocolat and the steak & eggs. When I tell you the steak & eggs is a REAL meal, come hungry! It's tender short ribs over roasted potatoes with two sunny-side-up eggs, cilantro dressing and a delicious sauce on the side. The short ribs were incredibly soft and tender, almost like a brisket situation, and the portion of meat was HUGE. Honestly, it could easily be shared. I ate about half before my stomach politely told me we were finished and the rest came home with me. The potatoes were delicious, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I really appreciated all the different flavors in the dish. Everything worked so well together. Definitely not your basic little steak-and-eggs brunch situation. The pain au chocolat was approximately the size of my head... and I have a big head, so please understand the measurements here lol. It was really good! I do wish it had been served warm and had a little more chocolate inside, but I'd absolutely order it again. Next time I'd probably get it by itself with a latte or hot chocolate and have myself a cute little pastry moment. And the passionfruit smoothie? Soooo good. Refreshing, flavorful and not overly sweet, which I appreciated because we don't need all that extra sugar. We have figures to watch around here. My mom really enjoyed herself too, which made the experience even better. Between the food, generous portions, cute atmosphere and especially the service, Café Bastille definitely gave us a reason to come back. Until next brunch... mwah! S/O Jeffrey our wonderful server!

A glimpse of Paris in the middle of Miami…read more I found this spot on TikTok before coming to Miami and it was on my must-see list. It was too busy to get a seat on Sunday morning so we came back on Monday morning and were seated immediately. We chose inside seating for a break from the Miami heat but it was even a little warm inside. The decor is adorable and Instagram worthy. But it's not just a cute spot with mediocre food. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had. I started with the summer Bellini. It was adorned with a slice of dragonfruit and the peach flavor was full and robust. For brunch I had the salmon omelette without tomatoes/onions. It was so full of flavor. I think the truffle oil is what took it over the top. The avocado spread on the multigrain sourdough bread was so good. The side of potatoes was good but I restrained myself by only having a few bites. Service was also good. I believe our server's name was Ebony. She was super kind and attentive. A short walk from the Kimpton Epic hotel for a trip to Paris! I can't wait to return.
