Wonderful hidden gem. Very authentic and flavorful. They have good customer service. The restaurant is a good size and the ambiance is very family friendly with TVs that show any sports games, they even have a jukebox you can connect to and play your favorite music. We ordered their pupusas revueltas, de loroco, and frijoles con queso. They were yummy yummy

A little over two weeks ago, I encountered this place after a night's disappointment of having found my favorite Pupusa-restaurant closed at 7pm. I don't typically venture out for Pupusas but the craving was real. Here is how this place fared on takeout with my tastebuds.... Pros: - big pupusas - cheese with locoro were tasty Cons: -shady area -street parking -they are excessively stingy with the curtido (2 of their miniature baggies was not enough for one of my pupusas) -freshly prepared Bottom line, pupusas are tasty and I will probably visit again but will be sure to request more curtido.

This place never fails me. Whether I'm super hung over and just need a delicious michalada. Or it's a rainy day and need some good comfort food. Everyone needs to try them out! And they're so sweet they even gave me a lil Xmas present. That definitely brought me some Christmas cheer! Thanks guys!

Expectations versus reality. We ordered from this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. I have gone to a specific restaurant for pupusas for a while but we decided to give this place a try. I opened the empanadas and said "what are these" never have I came across something like this. I am used to the empanadas sprinkled with sugar this looks like it was made in a rush, to be honest they don't even look like empanadas de leche. The taste was not good at all, it tasted like oil. I would definitely not go back. The pupusas were also very bland no flavor and the revueltas were practically all beans.

This is the best Salvadorian I've ever had. Mind you I'm not Salvadorian nor have I ever been to El Salvador. And I don't even know what a "teclena" is. But I love the Oliver Stone movie "Salvador." Plus I live in little Central America. Take my review for what it's worth, but this is my 3rd time ordering from here in like 6 months. Delicious!

Love this little local spot. I've lived in the neighborhood almost 2 years and just discovered this place. The food is delicious and very well-priced and great customer service. Some of the best things we've had there are the shrimp cocktail, mixed seafood tostada, and soups. The portions are large and we always take food to-go.

    Popusas

These popusas revueltas have some sort of beans that were refried, like out of a can. They were not tasty at all and the sauce had sooo much limon on it. And did not have no taste at all. Very bland, would nooot recommend.

Total hole in the wall Latin food. All of it was great. Prices reasonable. Service excellent. Clean inside. Lots of TV's for soccer and it looks like they put up the tables to dance at night. Lots of room on the inside as the outside looks small but is not. Just go I do not think you will be disappointed. Street parking.

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

You could tell people were actually having a good time instead of everyone just trying to get in & out. Great music, the smell from the live-fire grill, people laughing... just a really fun atmosphere. Jasmine was the first one to greet us & made us feel welcome right away. She introduced us to the other bartender, Kevin, & watching the two of them work together was honestly impressive. They were slammed but somehow still managed to be friendly, check in with everyone, make great drinks, & keep things moving without looking stressed. A little later some friends met up with us, & a few of them only speak Spanish. Jasmine immediately grabbed us a server , Angie, who came over & explained the menu in Spanish, answered all their questions, & made sure they were just as comfortable as everyone else. That stood out because a lot of places would've just pointed at the menu & moved on. While we were hanging out, Jasmine started telling us about the different areas of the venue, what each space is like, & how the vibe changes depending on where you're sitting. It never felt like she was trying to sell us on anything. She just seemed genuinely proud of the place, & it made us want to come back to check out the rest of it. Between the cocktails, the food, & how genuinely taken care of we felt, this ended up being one of those nights where you look at the time & realize you've been there way longer than you planned. That's usually a pretty good sign. We'll definitely be back.

We came in around 5:30pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was literally empty. That should've been our first clue. We were seated and then completely ignored for about 25 minutes... no water, no menus, no check-in. We finally had to flag someone down just to acknowledge we existed. Things went downhill fast. When my pregnant friend asked if they had iced tea or coke, the server actually told her she shouldn't be having caffeine and suggested something else instead. That comment was wildly inappropriate, not her place, and absolutely unacceptable. Full stop! Ordering food took forever, and when it finally arrived, it was painfully underwhelming. Dishes were missing items listed on the menu, portions were small, and the prices were laughable for what you get... think expensive guacamole that barely feeds one person, croquettes that tasted frozen, and fries that felt like an afterthought. Add in an extra kitchen fee on the bill and it just felt insulting. Service overall was scattered and disengaged, the space didn't feel very clean, and for a party of 8 being the only guests there, it somehow felt like we were an inconvenience. No warmth, no hospitality, no accountability. This place tries hard to look like an upscale Latin fusion spot, but it's all surface-level. Between the disrespectful comment, slow service, overpriced and mediocre food, and awkward vibes, this was an easy never again. Please save your time, money, and energy.

I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant.
