I HATE SITUATIONS LIKE THIS!!! The Al Pastor was good, if a little tough but the Carne Asada was awesome. Crispy bits, meaty and flavorful. The revuelta pupusa was great. The queso and loroco pupusa was mild in it's creamy goodness. The tamarindo looked homemade and all this was served on real plates. Real, honest to goodness, breakable ceramic plates at a hole in the wall Mexican place. I was a happy boy. And then this bionic, brown blur came whizzing by me headed for the kitchen. The turn was too tight and it's legs slipped out from under it so for just a second I got to watch a little brown mouse get back on his feet then bolt for the kitchen. I shake my head and curse my fate and a moment later see a little, wiggly, brown body between the counter and the wall. So is this the same mouse that I've seen twice or is this two mice? So now you know. The food is awesome but the mouse may be adding his own secret sauce.

No meat in revuelta pupusas. All masa. They charged me for 6 but only put 5 in my bag

Good, fast and flavorful fare. The roasted chili salsa (comes standard with everything) is fantastic.

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

My boyfriend is Salvadoran, so we're always on the hunt for great pupusas and yuca frita. We…read moreusually make the drive to North Hollywood, but decided to give this place a try--and it definitely did not disappoint! We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

So many five star reviews, I'm here to add another!…read more Ordered online, picked up for lunch, what a treat! I got 3 pupusas revueltas to go. Service was quick, there is a big dining room with plenty of seating in case you want to dine in, looked very clean. Massive pupusas with a lot of filling, not one of those restaurants that give you nothing but masa, these pupusas were legit. They come with Curtido and the usual salsa roja. So much flavor packed into these things, these are some of the best pupusas I've ever had, good size and they do not cheap us out on filling. Definitely try em if you're in the area! Parking on the street, or in the back very limited in the alley.
