Service was super. The ambiance was great. Not happy with the dish I ordered. I ordered the butter garlic and lemon sauce which came with shrimp. I thought it would be creamy rich buttery sauce. Came here this past weekend with my wife and a couple of friends for our first visit, and we were blown away by the flavor and quality. We eat at a lot of Italian restaurants, but this one stands out. It feels like everything is homemade and prepared with genuine love. All four of us ordered the chicken parmigiana, each with a different pasta pairing. My wife chose gnocchi with red sauce, while I went for penne with the lemon vodka sauce. That lemon vodka sauce was unbelievably rich and creamy. I'm still talking about it! I almost ordered some to go, but honestly, I doubt it would have made it home without me picking at it on the way home. This place is truly a hidden gem, a cozy hole-in-the-wall worth discovering. The waitstaff was warm, friendly, and attentive, and there's plenty of parking right outside. We can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. A definite 10/10 ! read more

Update! We now go here as much as we can and always take out of town guests. The complimentary bread is served hot out of the oven with garlic butter. Last night I got my usual - leek, prosciutto, pistachios with grilled chicken and cheese tortellini yum! The bruschetta is my favorite also - the small size is very big. We had the chocolate cake and strawberries once we got home and it was a delicious way to end the evening. Service, food, and vibes are always outstanding. read more

Tremendous! Wow, really small place so reservations are a must. But so wonderfully worth the wait. I had the Pollo Tuscany, and my son had the Vodka Chicken. Both were so overwhelmingly full of flavor; creamy, buttery and so luscious. Definitely on the list for the next trip to Hamilton. Try the bruschetta as well. It's amazing! read more

This place is far too small with tightly packed tables to ever offer a pleasant meal. I've gone here as a couple, and I've gone here with a group of people, and you always feel like you're packed in like a sardine in a dark cave. The food is okay, it's hard to get pasta wrong. The prices have gone up considerably over the years so the value just isn't that good anymore for what you get. Parking is relatively painless in the plaza parking lot. read more

In the Past this place would get a 5 rating from me it was def a Diamond in the rough small space but worth it! one of hamiltons jewels of Authentic Italian recipes..everything was big flavour, once we discovered this place iI would order take out as well and the portions were so generous i had lunch or dinner the next day. I always loved the personal service that i recieved from the very friendly waitress :) that being said I think the business was sold and is under new management when we went back the flavour of the dishes didnt seem to be the same consistent dish we were used to and there was new wait staff the place didnt feel inviting and quaint it felt tight and tense ( so it gets a 3 from me) much diff feel but I would like to say if its under new management def give them a chance and see how they do even though the wait staff was diff they did do their best to be accommodating and helpful. A hidden Gem in Hamilton ! This little beauty is in a small strip plaza on the mountain, it's small and reservations are highly recommended ! The service is great and the food is incredible! Surprisingly good Italian food. We didnt have a reservation so We wasn't able to eat inside because of the 1.5 hour wait, so we ordered takeout. Plenty of food. Ordered Chicken Parm, Caesar salad, Shrimp Algio. All were very good. Served with warm fresh bread. Next time in town we will make a reservation so that we can experience the restaurant. read more

Great atmosphere for a date night. The environment is quiet for great conversations. The spaghetti was wonderful and the the staff provided great service asking if the food was ok throughout. The only reason it lost a star was because the price is expensive for what is offered. I had 1 pound of muscles and it did not have much meat. read more

We went to this restaurant on a Saturday night. We had to make a reservation for dinner at 7pm It is a very tight place and dark. Our table wasn't ready which is fine but the waiting area wasn't good we had to wait pretty much in the dinner area while the rest of the guest were eating and in between a dbl door area which wasn't good either cause there was like 3 couples reserved for the same time and had to keep the doors open which let the cold in. When we sat down I found it very dark I enjoy seeing my girl The meal was ok the apps were the best part the beard was hard We hard the garlic soup and caeser salad which were very good the entree was just ok we both had pasta and it was something I could've made at home Overall I will be giving it one more try and I will write my second review to let you know how the second time goes read more

We came here for a family dinner and had a wonderful time. It's a very small place so make sure you book a reservation or you probably won't get a table. We all enjoyed our food for sure. I found my dish a bit heavy but hey, Italian creamy pesto sauce?? It's going to be heavy. I love how cozy this restaurant is! Maybe it's not the best place to go for a family dinner but if you're looking for somewhere to have that romantic special time with someone this is definitely the perfect place. This little gem is a little bit off the radar for most "Foodies". The location is not advertised and I can guess why. The dining room is extremely small, about 8 tables, making it one of the coziest I have ever enjoyed. The food was home made, cooked to perfection. The big hit was the Gnocchi with tomato sauce that was to die for. Another item that was mouth watering, was the garlic bread. Truly sinful and sure to get you noticed at the office after lunch. Even if you have reservations you're looking at an hour wait and the staff doesn't care. The place is so tiny with no waiting area you're literally standing hovering over diners watching them eat. One diner complained to the waiter/host that his pasta was undercooked and his sauce was runny, and waiter told him he'd have to wait a half hour for a new one. For pasta that's been prepped already!!! Unbelievable. After waiting an hour and no table, we walked out. I love love love La Spaghett. I stumbled across this cozy gem of a restaurant a number of years ago and fell in love with the food and intimacy of the place. The pasta is always excellent and Rebecca is a one woman show as she moves among the tables taking time to talk and share about what's on the menu. The Gnocchi are like little pillows of love and all the various sauces you can choose from are out of this world. Seriously the best little Italian restaurant ever! The pasta and sauces are amazing. Haven't had a bad one yet. My favourite is the Sausage Arrabiatta which has a nice spice to it. The dining room is small and very intimate. Even though it is in a strip mall you would never know once inside the dining room. Always make a reservation. Wow! I am a fussy eater with many food allergies. I cannot rave enough about how accommodating the chef is. I didn't need to change much (no parsley garnish and had peppers left out). There are wonderful olive oil sauce choices ( Creme and red sauces as well). It was amazing!!! Worth every single calorie. The bread basket served with garlic butter give the meal a delicious start. This restaurant is definitely not what you would expect from a stip mall restaurant. The dinning room is small but cozy. The staff are friendly and efficient in greeting you and getting you seated. The menu is limited but the pasta is fresh and the sauces are all made from scratch. We started with the muscles which were wonderful in a wine and marinara sauce. I followed this with the gnocchi with the meat sauce which was amazing and the fresh bread was perfect for cleaning up the plate. Prices are reasonable. The only down side is the wine list is weak and the prices are higher than what I think they worth. Not a place for kids but nice for a couple wanting a nice but not extravagant relaxed dinner out. Worst customer service. My colleague and I reached the restaurant at 7:45 PM last night. Upon arrival we patiently waited for 5 minutes before we were greeted by the server. His attitude was obnoxious and he seemed irritated to see us. When we asked if there was availability, he told us that the two empty tables that we saw were reserved and that we could wait to see if the reservations showed up. After waiting 15 min outside, a table of 6 people had finished their meal and left. We decided to ask again if we could be seated now as patrons had left and now there were 3 open tables including the people that didn't show for their reservations. It was now 8:05pm. The response I got next was abrupt and rude - the server said that they were no longer seating anyone and the kitchen was now closed. This was an interesting response as there were patrons who were just ordering their food. Also, the restaurant doesn't close until 9pm. This to me is extremely poor customer service. What is more unfortunate is that my colleague and I can't help but wonder if there were other factors at play that were specifically directed at just us. To respect the evening of those patrons in the restaurant, we left and ate else where. However, I felt the need to raise my concern with the manager and/or owner. In speaking with the owner, I was told that she couldn't explain why we were turned away and that she would call me back with an explanation after speaking to the staff. I'm still waiting. This is an unfortunate turn of events as these local restaurants need as much support as possible - with service and behavior like this, it's hard to do so. read more

I've been here twice now and the quality of the food has been over the top. The portions here are fantastic for the hungry man, like myself and the prices are very fair. The place is very small so I would recommend making a reservation however the wait would still be worth it. If I could afford it I would come here at least once a week. read more
