Usually this spot is packed but this time around it was pretty empty. We went around 7pm and only one waitress working. She was calm and kind of serious, not much of a social personality. Our food took a while to come out after we placed our order. I got the culiche shrimp taco with rice and beans. The beans were on the dry side the rice was bland, the taco was ok. I thought it was going to be crunchy but the tortilla was soft. The sauce was tasty though. I know this place is popular with the locals for hanging out and drinking but it wasn't that night. I love this place. The fajitas are fire, the portion is spot on. This place is a solid traditional Mexican restaurant. I say that because the patrons are mostly Mexican! Lol. I say that jokingly, but their customers come for the food! A big menu that does not disappoint. My son loves the Carne Asada fries. I had the California burrito and it definitely is up there as one of the best I've had. For the price that most places sell mediocre burrito, this place gives you a whole meal. WARNING!!! Be careful with the so-call "manager" at this place!!! Especially the ladies!! He will invite you and say is on him but when is time to pay he will disappear on you. I been coming to this place for years and usually for brunch on the weekends and the service was always amazing. 5-Stars for the morning shift ladies However, last Saturday, 09/13/2025, I took my sister and my nephews for brunch and the "manager" was super attentive and polite to us. Although, he was being very flirtatious with my sister. As a mater of fact, this was the Saturday of Canelo vs Crawford. This is how everything started. The "manager" asked us if we were going to watch the fight there, and we said no since we already had spent over $200 and had planned to grill at my house. With that being said, he insisted for us to return, and he offered us to be his guests. At this point, my sister asked what was the catch, and he said "nothing just come and is on me." When he said that, my sister asked him again "what is the catch if we come back?" Honestly, it sounded to good to be true. First of all, I thought he was just going to offer us a free bucket of beers with an appetizer or a discount; however, he emphasized "is on me come back." So, we left home to get ready and returned to the restaurant around 8pm to watch the fight there. Upon our arrival, they had reserved a table for 10 people under the name of "Channell." At first, I thought it was so cute they made the table reservation under my dog's name since this is pet-friendly place. To start, we ordered some alcoholic beverages just to find out the server was rude. She brought us some "Palomas" which it only consist of Squirt soda and tequila. When we questioned her why they tasted different (flat) she responded "they taste different because we do not carry all the mixtures and ingredients to make mix drinks. Besides, this is a "Cerveceria" (meaning a beer brewery) I was in shock when I heard her say this. If they do not specialize in mixed drinks, why are they on the menu right? So, we called the "manager" and he asked her to make new drinks for us. At this point, I was getting a little skeptical of the whole "is on me" invite and for some reason I felt like we were not there for free. We continued ordering food and let me tell you even though it was supposedly an invite we all ordered appetizers instead of expensive plates to be mindful of his invitation. I have no words to describe how horrible the food was compare to what I have tried here before. The fries and chicken tenders were burnt. They did not have any ranch for the chicken wings and the server was mad because we kept asking her forranch since she brought us Caesars dressing instead. About 30 minutes after the fight ended, I felt like the server did not know the "manager" had invited us to watch the fight and had offered to pay. At least that's what my sister and I thought. So, she brought us the check since her shift was over, and she needed to close her register. When I saw the total, my sister went to go look for the "manager" which he had left somewhere to the back to avoid us. My sister went to the kitchen to talk to him, and he obviously denied the whole invitation offer. He told my sister he only made the reservation for us. While they were both talking, I was in the bathroom since they are located outside the restaurant next to the kitchen when I heard the server come abruptly and interrupted them by saying she had to leave and could not make any changes since her "jefe" was there and the "manager" never told her anything about the invite and it was too late for her to not charge. Trust me, I understand the server's position, but she did not have the right to disrespect us by saying "I WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO GO OUT TO A RESTAURANT AND NOT HAVE MONEY TO PAY." One, is none of her business to discuss our financial situation which she does not know about. Two, she is the one who should be embarrassed walking like a duck with that ugly BBL of hers. Customers like me paid for that. LOL. In conclusion, the money was not the issue here. She did not have to say this to her customers. The only one to blame here is the real "manager's" harassment and misleading customers to return. He used us for advertisement when he started taking pictures. I better not find any pictures of my self nor my family in any social media without permission or I will sue this place for real. I can not believe I used to come here at least 3-4 times per month for over 5 years. I spent my money and gave the best recommendations to my friends and family so this "manager" could not keep his word of inviting us and then expecting us to pay? I wanted to confront the owner regarding this incident, but he had left already. Is sad how employees like these two can ruin the good reputation of a good restaurant. read more

Was going to be in the area so found this place. They had plenty of seats in their outdoor patio. We ended up getting the Molcajete Sinaloense and calamari. We asked if the molcajete was good for two and he said, yeah, either one or two. Well, for us two, we still had leftovers! So if you order this for yourself, you must be really hungry! LOL! They have a really good balance of flavors, and they complement each other well. The servers are not overly friendly, but this is more of a fast-paced, neighborhood restaurant, so it's to be expected, especially with how busy they always are. This is NOT to say that they aren't friendly, because they definitely are! Just don't let it scare you off. Their Micheladas are great! We go here all the time on Taco Tuesday today they tried to pull a fast one ! We ordered our tacos and 2 ice waters. They brought us out each a bottled Aquafina water which I thought was weird. There was no mention of being charged for water which they never do been going here for years. Got to register and they tried charging us almost $7 for the 2 bottled waters . They said their tap was out and had to give us bottles , well how about you make your customers aware they will be charged excessively for bottled water when they order? The location in spring valley has issues with flies inside the front section of their restaurant because when they open their windows these don't have screens and then fly in and fly around your table and food. I really like this place so I decided to try their breakfast but sadly I was disappointed. I ordered chilaquiles verdes but was given red and I ordered carne asada on the side which was the only good thing about the meal. When the food came out the beans were cold and the eggs and chilaquiles were lukewarm at best. I also found what looked like an eyelash in my food and brought it to the attention of the staff but nothing was done. I asked for more coffee but I guess after the eyelash thing they were done with me. I would definitely not recommend going early as the staff is rude and inattentive. The patio did have a nice breeze however. I wasn't looking to get comped but when the food you ordered is wrong and cold you would think they would try to correct the issue not to mention the hair that was in the chilaquiles. read more

I was in the mood for Mariscos and decided to make the drive to Spring Valley to La Sinaloense. It was a Thursday around 1 pm, the place wasn't busy but somehow our order took a while to be prepared. I had a campechana with shrimp and pulpo. It was served in a molcajete, different but it was very good. Would definitely recommend/ reorder. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant to deal with. Brought the plate to the register and told them they gave me a complete wrong burrito. They said that is what I ordered. We came here for a late breakfast and sat in their beautifully decorated and spacious patio. The patio had a great cover and windows could be opened for fresh air. Music is playing in the background. The parking lot is tiny so I highly advise parking on the nearby streets. We ordered the Chilaquiles plate and a combo breakfast burrito. The gave us a complimentary cup of vegetable broth that was great with fresh lime n salsa. The chips were freshly made and they gave us three types of salsa. Caution: Habanero salsa is no joke! So be careful! The plates were very well done and the cuisine was authentically Mexican. The burrito was huge and could feed two people. It was stuffed with lots of meat, potatoes, eggs, cheese and more. They even toasted the outer tortilla a little to give it a nice little crunch. Fabulous! The Chilaquiles had an optional green or red sauce covered in flavorful sauce, light sour cream, onions, cilantro n queso fresco.
