The customer service was very great. I was greeted and they brought me out my order while I waited outside. I ordered the pollo asada tots large. It was freshly made. The only thing is it was under seasoned and the red sauce wasn't spicy at all. The sauce also lacked flavor and spice. Hence why I deducted a star. Overall I appreciate the friendliness and quick take out.

I love this place amazing food and great customer service I had the Philly and it was yummy

Tzatziki Sauce yum

Ordered on doordash for the first time. The meal was packaged so nicely so ty for that! The condiments (tzatziki sauce & hot sauce) were delicious and placed In a separate plastic bag in case it spilled. I'm glad they have half ordered of their fries since I can never eat it all alone. I got the gyro fries were were great! The gyro meat didn't seem to be freshly sliced so not sure if it's bought in bulk like that and reheated because it was a bit thicker and I didn't see the cut marks but it was still good. The fries are medium width and also tasty. I loved the veggies on top to make this meal a bit more refreshing. Everything was in a good amount but I would've been down for a little more feta. As for the sandwich, it was also created and packaged wet nicely. Looks delicious (ordered for my man later so unfortunately can't write about that but looks amazing. I will def be back and try other items! They have a variety of dishes. Can't wait to try the fried Oreos!

This is some of the best munchie food! I love coming here and just zoning out on all the combinations and choices! I love ordering the breakfast tots with carne asada with a couple pours of the green salsa hits the morning spot! They have an amazing selection of craft sodas! Quick and speedy service from when you order to when they bring it to me waiting in my car! The store it kinda small but it does not match the huge flavor and personality they have behind the counter!

Grubs breakfast burrito

I absolutely love this place, the service here is amazing as soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with amazing hospitality, the food here is great they can do some things with a tater tot you would never even think of, another great thing about this place is that they accept hot foods for the EBT which I think is great living in the community that we do live in there's a lot of people that are not able to cook themselves a hot meal so places like grabs offers a hot meal and a smile from their amazing staff members, this is hands down one of my favorite places to go for a breakfast burrito, if you're looking for a little hole in the wall and creative ideas grubz is it.

Surf and Turf Burrito

Tried this place on the whim. From the reviews, we were excited to try the food. Entered and was greeted by a middle age man but he walked out so we were left waiting. The front is very small with the menu plastered on the wall since it is a "take out" place. As we looked over the menu, we wondered when someone would actually come take our order since there were no vocal acknowledgment from anyone but after a good 5 minutes, a young man walked up and took our order. My husband ordered the California Burrito and I ordered the Surf & Turf Burrito that came with tater tots inside. Unfortunately, I found it hard to eat my burrito because each time I bit into a tater tot, it was just too salty. Because of this, I had to dig out each tater tot and eventually stopped eating which was disappointing since it was $17. The sauce that came with the burritos were a bit watery but still had good flavor. I don't know if I would return but if I do, I'll definitely try something else.

Philly cheese steak

This is the best for sure. I come here atleast 2wice a week. I never have been any where that gets better everytime i go. Full of flavor. Definitely made with care and passion. Im actually very thankful this place is in my city. Im a daygo native and this is definitely top tier. I choose thos over steakhouses now. I was an executive cheff for years. So my palate is important to me. Trust me you wont be let down. Literally everything on the menu is tap tier in taste. Someone try to Prove me wrong please lol

Excellent food excellent service!

Excellent food excellent service! Great place to eat at or to go Food cooked to order.

Surf and turf fries

I absolutely love this place. We come here at least once a month. And every time the hardest decision is what to try this time. Everything we try has been amazing. Our favorites are baked potato tots, these pulled pork tots I'm currently eating , the breakfast tots, the tj burger, pretty much everything lol and the customer service is always amazing not sure why we've never asked the guys name but he is always very kind and helpful with recommendations

Food: veggie burrito (no beans), BLT sandwich, carne asada burrito. The veggie burrito was super tasty with mushrooms, grilled onions and green bell peppers, avocado, tater tots, and pico de gallo. It reminded me of a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. After awhile it felt a bit like too much oil, but this is not health food so what do you expect! The green salsa on the side was not spicy at all and I was hoping for a little kick. Ambiance: hole in the wall - don't be scared or you'll miss the opportunity for tasty food! Service: super friendly!

Carne Asada Tater Tots

Grubz Takeout was surprisingly excelente! You can get burritos, burgers, loaded tater tots and more. You can also order via Uber eats, which makes life easy. I had the loaded carne asada tots. Through on extra add ons like Jalapeño, nacho cheese and pico. Absolutely delicious, even with all those items, the tots came extra crispy, which is how it should be done! Definitely recommend the loaded tater tots.

Little hole in the wall for take out orders. Variety of tots and fries to decide from. We tried the carne tots and was not disappointed. Will try some of their other varieties next time.

We get there right before it opens and they sit us down right away. I thought that was awesome. Some places will wait until they officially open. Even while just opening it was a festive atmosphere and the employees were amazing. My wife had the Diabla shrimp plate and I had the three taco platter I choose the birria and Korean tacos and they were amazing and had a different twist to them. You get to choose from various ones. This place is very instagramic and you may be paying a little bit more but in my opinion it is well worth it. We had the Miche mango blended drink and I ordered the Cadillac Margarita. They were very good and reasonably priced as well. The grand finale was the churro cart. What a show. Definitely worth some social media posts. I believe this restaurant banked on the fact that it was in Little Italy within downtown so they could charge extra for everything. Nothing you would get food or drink wise felt it was justified and the food was really plain or didn't taste good. Ambiance was a bit of a mess too since it seemed to try and mix a lot of different themes together which didn't work out too well. I think it was for the best this business moved on. Let a new restaurant take it's place that can do a better job in the night life scene, or try something new and different.

The restaurant itself has an inviting and relaxing ambiance, and my friend and I had excellent service. I used the orange hot sauce on the table, giving it a little bit of an extra kick, and it was perfect. I also ordered the passion fruit iced tea; though I didn't really taste the passion fruit come through, you get free refills, and it was still refreshing. The Pacific Beach area is usually busy, and we were lucky that we didn't have to wait and service was excellent. They even have their own parking lot around back so that makes it less stressful to have a meal at their establishment. I also made a reservation in advance for eight people but it really wasn't necessary when we went. I think it's very different during dinner service so I still highly recommend making a reservation. They brought out chips and salsa immediately as well as water. My husband and I got there a little bit early ahead of our party so we ordered a couple of drinks while everyone else arrived. They have a huge selection of menu items for both brunch and dinner. We had the ceviche, chicharrones and guacamole. I also ordered the Yucatán salad and my husband got the seafood enchiladas. Both were excellent and highly recommend. The ambience and decor are so cute as well. They have a couple Bougainvillea trees by the entrance and beautiful, colorful murals on their building. The gentleman/waiter handed us the menu and went on his way. Chips and salsa along with waters for the table were brought and then that was when the service of our waiter went downhill. We ordered the ahi tuna and guacamole for our appetizers but the timing for the meal was so off. It was a long wait before the waiter even checked back on us and which is when I asked for a refill on my water and chips. We had order drinks as well. The smoked old fashion was good and the ahi tuna appetizer portion was plentiful. There were some parts of the diced ahi that was a bit chewy. The gaucamole portion was large and it wasn't until I asked another waiter did my refill of water and chips arrive. For entree, we got the scallops with corn cake, a salad and I had the poblano burger. I asked for the burger to be cooked to medium. When the entrees arrived my burger was overcooked with no pink in sight. The flavor of the burger was good but the burger was definitely dry as can be. The corn cake with scallop was interesting it was almost like the corn cake was a croquet that encased a corn salsa. Overall the food was okay but the service left a lot to be desired. The waiter and the end seemed to put up a fake act when the check came. Since we asked for the check it seemed like the waiter was on hyper speed. Overall the view is nice but the food and service did not meet the expectations.

Cramped and loud, but nicely decorated and serving solid authentic meals. Mexican Latte-9/10: Pretty straightforward. A solid, nostalgic spiced coffee. Mazapan Latte-10/10: A novelty menu item, both nostalgic and tasty. With a sweetened condensed milk rim and mazapan dust, this sweet coffee is a must order. Chilaquiles-10/10: Cocina 35 knows how to throw down the best Mexican breakfast item: the chilaquiles. The Verde was good but didn't pack much heat. The Salsa Secreta was our favorite; a creamy 3-chile salsa with an artichoke flavor, this one packs an enjoyable amount of heat. The Chipotle was another yummy and creamy option, making your nose run but still very enjoyable. Frijoles Puercos-7/10: They were pretty standard. I've definitely had better. They served their purpose as a good side. Concha Rellena-7.5/10: Another creative menu item. Whipped cream and whole strawberries sandwiched between two french toast-style concha halves and drenched in cajeta. It was sweet and warm, but would've been more enjoyable with fresher and/or sliced strawberries. Fun to order, but a regular concha is better suited for enjoying with your coffee. Service-6/10: Again, Cocina 35 gets packed, so service isn't as attentive. Our party had to order and wait for water, ask for refills, call the server over for more orders and again for the bill, and wouldn't speak to us in Spanish. I witnessed other tables be spoken to in Spanish, but upon ordering I'd only be responded to in English. I know I'm a white Mexican, but native tongue is nice when I make it clear I'd like to order in Spanish. Overall, a fun spot with solid menu items. The samplers are pricey but probably the best bang for your buck. They do the classics very well, and are very much worth your visit!
