It also felt like the torta was mostly just chicken, without much else going on. The menu said it came with Oaxaca cheese, but the cheese seemed to be cooked onto the bread to the point that it was crispy, so I really didn't get the flavor or texture I was expecting from Oaxaca cheese. We love Sarita's! They always do a great job with portions and quality. The service is always speedy and you can tell it's good because there are people ordering and picking up food every time we go. We always get the Sarita's fries which are loaded with carne asada and melty cheese, and the shrimp is always delicious and never over-cooked. I can't even tell you what my fav item is because all of their food is so flavorful and good. Reasonable pricing, so much bang for your buck! Seating on the inside and minimal seating outside. Stopped into Sarita's in the Spring Valley/Casa de Oro area last weekend after hearing a lot of good things and decided to try the carne asada breakfast burrito. Unfortunately, it was easily the worst burrito I've had all year. The carne asada was extremely bland and the whole burrito just had no flavor at all. I only made it through about a quarter of it before throwing the rest away, and no amount of salsa could save it. It was huge, so that meant tossing a lot of food, which was frustrating. On the positive side, everyone working there was genuinely friendly and the shop, while small, was clean and looked well kept. I went early in the morning, so it's possible I caught them on an off day, but based on other reviews it doesn't sound like my experience was unique. My son accidentally went here instead of the place next door and asked if they had my phone order. They said yes and charged him. When he realized he was at the wrong taco shop, he immediately asked for a refund, but they refused, saying the food was already being cooked. They have the best carne asada fries and chips, rolled tacos, California and carne asada burritos, and Sarita's fries and chips (surf and turf fries with chipotle sauce). This is my go-to taco shop for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night cravings. I've done both take out and dine-in and can say the food has similar quality. The service consistent and the workers are polite. The tables are usually clean unless it's very busy then you might have to wait a bit to grab a clean table.
