Lovely little Tapas restaurant cafe off the beaten path near the Scarborough beachfront. We happened onto this gem when we were looking for an escape from the endless waves of excited children at Scarborough on a relatively sunny summer day. Steve (who owns the place with his wife) was very friendly and genuine. I got the distinct impression that Steve, a Yorkshireman was finally getting to do what he always wanted, open a restaurant! I certainly can appreciate that!
The place is small and cute, certainly fits the spanish tapas theme. There is a little patio on the back for outdoor seating with a view of the coast, bonus!
The food was fine if not a bit bland, but the service and atmosphere more than made up for it.
I want to help earn Steve and Elaine more business, but not ruin this quiet little gem near the touristy center of Scarborough!
Unfortunately the place is only opened until 6pm because it is having difficulties getting an alcohol license past 6pm. This is unfortunate because it is a great dinner spot! Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon! read more
