Open since June this was my first visit to this Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant and I had heard only good things about it. There are only about 10 tables inside so I found it very quiet and intimate. The lighting and music set for a very relaxed atmosphere. The four of us were given menus on which there were about 8 orange dots against dishes. This signified they were not available. The rest of the menu was strong in Lamb but had a smattering of chicken with a good veggie option. For starters two of us shared the mixed meze plate. This included griilled Halloumi, squid, pepperoni type sausage, falafel, hummus, veggie fritters and a basket of pitta bread. For £11 I thought this was reasonable value. The other two had a grilled halloumi starter and baked mussels in a tomatoey, garlicy, creamy sauce. Both too were very good.
Main courses were a lamb and chicken mixed grill served with rice - very well cooked and tasty. However not worth the 13.95 tag. Others had chicken Iskander and Lamb Iskander. This was meat and veg served on rice with a yoghurt topping. Very moist, very rich, very tasty. The other main was a chopped chicken and veg combo in a slightly spicy sauce. Also very good. To drink we had a Turkish red - YAKUT. This was 16.99 and very dry. It drank very well with grilled lamb. The whole bill was 112 which I thought was reasonable. Recommended to anyone but would not take kids. read more
