I was initially told to wait, and when I returned at 4:15 PM, I was informed there had been an issue with another guest and that it would be another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this delay extended significantly, and I did not receive access to my room until approximately 5:23 PM -- over two hours past the guaranteed check-in time. Traveling with a child made this delay even more difficult, and this level of inconvenience is unacceptable, especially for a stay that was LESS than 24 hours. My interaction with General Manager Nicole Jones was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and rude!! When I inquired about compensation for the delay and inconvenience, her response came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to the frustration of the situation. To make matters worse, when I finally entered the room, it was not in acceptable condition. The carpet had visible stains, raising concerns about cleanliness and calling into question why the room required such an extended delay! Between the delayed check-in, poor room condition, and lack of appropriate customer service from management, I will NEVER be returning to this location.

Just two days before check-in, we were informed that she tested positive for COVID-19. Out of concern for her health and the safety of our household--including a child still in school and working family members--we made the responsible decision not to travel. We immediately contacted the hotel to explain the situation and request a one-time exception to their 4-day cancellation policy due to this unexpected medical emergency. We even had documentation. Unfortunately, what we were met with was a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. When I spoke with the manager (Nicole), I was told she could not speak with me because there was already a case, and the call was abruptly ended before I could even explain the situation fully. This was not a case of poor planning or last-minute convenience. This was a health-related emergency involving an elderly family member with COVID-19. Policies are important, but so is basic human understanding--especially in situations like this. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled and hope that someone at a higher level within Hilton will take the time to review this situation and do what is right.

I stayed two nights and got yogurt parfaits both days for $13, which was kind of wild. The room was clean and updated. The only other downside was the train that runs through the night, and cars racing. It was hard to get a good night sleep. Not the hotels fault, but something to keep in mind. One night my tv was glitching, but it ended up fixing itself. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

This location is right in the center of LaFayette Square, so shopping, dining, a park, and entertainment are all within 5 mins walking distance. Parking is FREE in a garage attached to the hotel. There is an on-site sports bar, and other amenities such as a pool, and gym. The staff is always helpful and pleasant, which is important to us as a family. We really enjoy visiting this hotel everything we come to LaGrange!

The toilet seat was also dirty, as was the tank lid. There was a spider crawling behind the towels. The bedside tables had sticky residue on them. The alarm clock looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and was covered in dust. The bathroom door looked like it had dripped coffee dried on it. There was old hair in the bathtub. The bathroom countertops and trim were covered in a film of dust and crust. I ended up getting some cleaning supplies from our car and cleaned our room!!!! I almost couldn't stay there but we did not want to cause trouble. Also, we didn't trust that if we asked to change rooms that a new room would be any better. This is not the kind of thing that's random in a hotel; this is major problem kind of thing. You won't be able to use the kiosk to check in and depending on how busy it is, you might end up being in line for 30+ minutes to check in at the front desk. If you have an electric car, have a back up plan to charge your car. They have 4 Tesla chargers and two non-Tesla chargers. I've been told the two non-tesla ones does not work. The Tesla ones work half the time and you need to change the charge to 20amp from your car setting or it would stop charging after 5 minutes. I've also been told they plan to remove all the chargers in the near future so call ahead and ask. Sign up for their newsletter. They often have deals throughout the year and special sale on 8/4 every year. It's a fun place but everything inside is overpriced so expect to spend an extra $100 per night there if you plan on dining there as well. I've seen people pack their own lunch and drinks in a cooler and none of the staff members seem to care. There's also a mini fridge in the room and a microwave and ice machine on every floor. Bring a sweater or warm jacket. Walking out of the water park to air conditioned indoor area can be cold. In my opinion, staying on the first floor has been the more convenient. Especially the morning of checkout. You don't have to wait for the elevator and usually the elevator fills up quickly around checkout time. If you are purchasing miniature golf or bowling, buy the family deal if you have four or more people. The arcade Is a money pit, don't stay here too long or try your best to avoid it. On a previous visit we stayed at one of the cabins that was on property and had so much fun we researched what was available now. To our surprise, there is now a lodge and spa on property near the cabins that we previously visited. It is a beautiful large 4-story structure with a large foyer, wood beams, large windows and a lake view out the back of the hotel. There is a two-sided fireplace as you enter with a cafe on one side and check-in on the other. Check-in was easy and pleasant. The staff was friendly. Most rooms are to the right as you enter. One of the 2 elevators was broken on our visit. Our room was very nice with a balcony overlooking the lake, a small kitchenette area with a small refrigerator and a microwave. The Lodge is convenient for getting to the park due to its location. The price was definitely more than other hotels in the local area but I think it is worth it for location in/near the gardens.
