The woman who checked me in was so incredibly nice and pleasant & so accommodating. I was exhausted and every other hotel was giving me problems with either pet fees (one wanted $100 non refundable fee) or with the time I had come in. She helped me get checked right in and seemed so genuinely happy that we had come. After the trip we had, that was so incredibly needed. Later on in the evening we came down to take the dog on a walk and the evening gentleman was so incredibly friendly as well. He showed the dog love and even gave him a treat for being a good boy. Around 6 hours into our stay I got a huge headache, meds available downstairs at the front desk without having to leave. Snacks available, room clean, comfortable, cold, and roomy. Grounds are well maintained and the outside is beautiful and landscaped. Pet waste bags easily available, and an incredible staff. Only downfall is living so far from this beautiful place. Thank you La Quinta, this visit was extremely pleasant.

That said the service was great. We were greeting with a friendly tone and they went out of the way to make sure we had extra linens and towels. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My check-in time was scheduled for…read more3:00 PM, but when I arrived at 4:00 PM, my room was not ready. I was initially told to wait, and when I returned at 4:15 PM, I was informed there had been an issue with another guest and that it would be another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this delay extended significantly, and I did not receive access to my room until approximately 5:23 PM -- over two hours past the guaranteed check-in time. Traveling with a child made this delay even more difficult, and this level of inconvenience is unacceptable, especially for a stay that was LESS than 24 hours. My interaction with General Manager Nicole Jones was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and rude!! When I inquired about compensation for the delay and inconvenience, her response came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to the frustration of the situation. To make matters worse, when I finally entered the room, it was not in acceptable condition. The carpet had visible stains, raising concerns about cleanliness and calling into question why the room required such an extended delay! Between the delayed check-in, poor room condition, and lack of appropriate customer service from management, I will NEVER be returning to this location.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience needs to be shared…read more We had a reservation at Home2 Suites by Hilton LaGrange for Easter weekend to visit my husband's 84-year-old aunt. Just two days before check-in, we were informed that she tested positive for COVID-19. Out of concern for her health and the safety of our household--including a child still in school and working family members--we made the responsible decision not to travel. We immediately contacted the hotel to explain the situation and request a one-time exception to their 4-day cancellation policy due to this unexpected medical emergency. We even had documentation. Unfortunately, what we were met with was a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. When I spoke with the manager (Nicole), I was told she could not speak with me because there was already a case, and the call was abruptly ended before I could even explain the situation fully. This was not a case of poor planning or last-minute convenience. This was a health-related emergency involving an elderly family member with COVID-19. Policies are important, but so is basic human understanding--especially in situations like this. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled and hope that someone at a higher level within Hilton will take the time to review this situation and do what is right.

I feel badly even writing this next part about our actual stay/room...but it has to be done. My hope is that improvements can be made so that others don't have to go through what we went through. We walked into our room and here's what we found: The toilet seat was up and there were old pee stains under the rim and old poop stains inside the toilet and a pubic hair on the back of the bowl. The toilet seat was also dirty, as was the tank lid. There was a spider crawling behind the towels. The bedside tables had sticky residue on them. The alarm clock looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and was covered in dust. The bathroom door looked like it had dripped coffee dried on it. There was old hair in the bathtub. The bathroom countertops and trim were covered in a film of dust and crust. I ended up getting some cleaning supplies from our car and cleaned our room!!!! I almost couldn't stay there but we did not want to cause trouble. Also, we didn't trust that if we asked to change rooms that a new room would be any better. This is not the kind of thing that's random in a hotel; this is major problem kind of thing. We have never, ever, ever endured this type of dirtiness at a hotel and it's going to take a while to get over it.

Bathroom looks gross and tub is old. EW. Did I mention the bathroom needs updating?read more

The rooms are fine, could use an update or renovation but if you need a place to crash this is decent. My toilet made an ungodly loud screeching whenever I flushed, for about 2-3 minutes. So loud you have to shut the door. For the price point it's ok. Near a lot of places to eat so you have options.

Hallway smelled like weed every night. The room keys would all stop working in the middle of the day without warning, so coming home, you'd have to walk all the way around the parking lot (no walkway or sidewalk) to the only entrance and get a new key). Housekeeping knocks on your door at 7:30 or 8 AM, and if you ask them to come back, they don't. The paint in the bathroom is cracked and peeling. I made a comment about forgetting to bring a bathing suit, and the guy at the front desk, dead serious, shrugs and says, "meh" as if it wouldn't be a problem if I swam naked or something if it was later at night. I have no idea what goes on in that pool, but seeing the clientele, I have no plans to use it. The ice buckets are paper and must be gotten from front desk. Breakfast barely qualified as such. Curdled yogurt, stale cereal, and rotting oranges. Ice machine is moldy. TV didn't work when I arrived and front desk's response, without letting me describe what it was doing was. "You're doing it wrong." Four hours after I talked to her, she came and checked on it, and admitted the receiver needed to be reset on her end. Bad attitudes, smelly hallways, housekeeping that at most replaces towels but no more..after they wake you up or bust in on you in the shower. DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS AWFUL AND WAY OVERPRICED

Who says basic's a bad thing?…read more I almost didn't book a reservation here based on the OP's review, but I am glad that I did. We needed a place to stay while we were visiting Callaway Gardens and the Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, GA. This place was close enough to the area, just under a 30-minute drive. Pros: -Good rates, clean rooms. Our one non-smoking room w/ a king-sized bed was $69.00/night. The cleaning staff did an excellent job an left our room spic and span each day. -Very friendly staff. I was greeted by each employee that I came in contact with and asked about how my stay was going on a daily basis. The manager informed me that they had been making some changes to the property and was very pleased by our positive feedback. -Free breakfast. Love me some breakfast. They have coffee, tea, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, muffins, bagels, sausage, eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, instant grits and oatmeal packets and a waffle maker, from what I remember. -Free wifi. Cons: -Location (but that can't be helped). The main photo does not show that the property is right behind a Texaco gas station and right across from a strip mall. I was worried that the proximity to traffic would make things extremely noisy, but I got a good night's rest every day, with no blaring horns or other traffic-related interruptions. -Surrounding "attractions." Don't expect too much from Lagrange; it's a small town. We're foodies and love trying new restaurants or cuisines. We didn't get a chance to try the Korean place across the street (Keum Soo Kang San), but I would suggest going during lunch hours, as prices get steeper afterwards. There are several fast food chains in the area as well as some not so authentic Mexican and Asian places. The mall is mostly empty and dead; the biggest crowd is around the mall's Chinese restaurant (a one-restaurant food court, though?). The movie theater isn't too far, but other than that, there isn't much more to do. It's a safe kind of dead end town where nothing happens, everyone is polite and no one probably ever leaves. No judgement. Conclusion: If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Pine Mountain, and want to save some money, give this place a shot. Basic is sometimes better.

I stayed two nights and got yogurt parfaits both days for $13, which was kind of wild. The room was clean and updated. The only other downside was the train that runs through the night, and cars racing. It was hard to get a good night sleep. Not the hotels fault, but something to keep in mind. There is an on-site sports bar, and other amenities such as a pool, and gym. The staff is always helpful and pleasant, which is important to us as a family. We really enjoy visiting this hotel everything we come to LaGrange!
