Perfect location for a LaGrange business trip. We really enjoyed our business trip at this hotel. Convenient to several stores and restaurants and walking distance to several restaurants. The parking is located in a deck behind the hotel, there are plenty of open spaces on all floors (although most people crowd the walk up level deck). There is a really cool fire pit outside that the staff can turn on upon request. The bar and seating inside are comfy and very communal. The rooms are spacious with plenty of room to get work done. Great staff, always onboard to help with anything you need.

Piss stain. Disgusting

Stayed here before and had to change rooms due to door not staying locked Second time trying this place and we regret it. Stayed here because it's conveniently close to my mothers salon Flew in from Chicago and Houston just to be disappointed. First room had PISS stains on the sheets and hair everywhere! It was terrible I let the host know and they moved us to another room where we had the same the same issue! Hair on the sheets everywhere like wth! The tissue in the bathroom Wasn't fresh but used and had wet finger prints on them and the toilet seat was up as if it had been just used. Disgusting! It's too late to book a three day stay anywhere in the area at midnight so I went ahead and asked for housekeeping to come change the sheets fresh in front of us. Don't think we should've paid full price for this mess.

Rooms were nice and I love the bathrooms. Modern upgraded rooms. Staff was great. Security of the building was good (don't leave your key because you won't get in). The hotel location is near downtown area which is walking distance to eateries and shops. There's a Starbucks in the hotel lobby which was good because I love Starbucks!!!!

Pretty presentation.

I was very impressed with the hotel. The entire staff was very friendly. The place is clean, the rooms are nice, and they have many amenities. There is a gym, and office space, a private area for groups, a seating area with t.v.s, a laundry room, and a cute little bar. They have a small kitchen and a little convenience store for after hours snacks and drinks and toiletries. Oh, and the showers are awesome! I arrived on Valentine's Day and received a cute little heart bag with two yummy, frosted sugars cookies. Later that evening the lovely housekeeper gave me some roses. She was super sweet and also gave me a hug when I checked out. I also adored the bartender Elijah. Such a doll! He created a lovely specialty cocktail for Valentine's Day, and I enjoyed my conversation with him. The only downside is that the pillows were too firm for me. I prefer a soft pillow, but everyone has different preferences when it comes to pillows. I'm sure if I asked they would have gone out and got me a soft pillow. That's how great the staff here is! Thank you everyone for being so welcoming and making my stay enjoyable.

Very nice Old style hotel with modern upgrades in the heart of downtown. I really like this place - staff was very professional and nice and parking is very easy across the walkway in a multi level parking lot, which is nice because usually in the center of town you have to pay to park but this one's free. I definitely recommend this property.

I visited LaGrange for my cousin's wedding last weekend. My entire family ended up booking an entire block of rooms for the weekend as many of us flew in specifically for the wedding. My mom called the hotel and booked the room directly with no problems. She opted for the state rate (she's a government employee) rather than the group rate that was offered to all of the wedding guests. The room cost about $95 a night. We arrived the day before the wedding and checked in easily. The hotel opened in 2017 so it's still fairly new and modern. The lobby is expansive and chic. There's ample seating, a snack bar, a bistro that serves Starbucks coffee and a bar that's opened until at least 1am. We spent two evenings in a sitting in the lobby playing games and drinking which was a lot of fun. There are electrical outlets strategically placed throughout the lobby too which is awesome for guests and private pods with 32 inch TVs where you can sit quietly or conduct business meetings. The hotel also features a putting green and an outdoor seating area complete with a fire pit but we didn't utilize those amenities. I shared the room with my mom and sister. Many of my family members were in rooms on the same floor. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Our room faced a lovely fountain that appeared to be streaming water 24/7. The beds were comfortable and there were three different kind of pillows to choose from. The towels were thin but that's typical of most hotel chains. We opted not to have our room cleaned but the maid did come by the room to see if we needed anything which was awesome. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff members were all pleasant and attentive which was fantastic. My mom actually paid for our room and my cousin's room who slept next door. My mom has the same last name as another cousin and the hotel inadvertently charged this third cousin's room to my mom's bill. They charged the price of the room and some incidentals as well. My mom called the front desk about it and was told that they couldn't correct it. She was referred to the general manager who took care of the error the very same day. LaGrange is a quaint little town typical of small town America. The hotel was within walking distance of a few restaurants, Wendy's CVS, etc. There's a parking garage adjacent to the hotel where guests can park for free. If I ever found myself in the area again I'd gladly choose to stay at this hotel again.

Chocolate smeared on the room chair.

This place is absolutely disgusting. The sheets in the bedroom had blood or some kind of sauce stain on the sheets in two different spots. The chair in the room had chocolate smeared on the seat. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a good week. On top of that when we were leaving the building, we watched a small roach literally walk through the front door. I was told the manager was going to give me a call in regards to my concerns, but no one ever reached out.

Well I didn't expect to see this at a Marriott property.

I stopped at the front desk and told her that we were checking out. She was very polite and inquired why we were leaving early. I told her that we weren't that we were scheduled to leave that morning. She said that she would refund our points/money and that there was some sort of mix up. I then pulled up my app and realized that we were leaving for our next destination a day early on accident. Thank goodness Valerie was sweet enough to say something because we would have driven a full day to our next destination without accommodations.

I was initially told to wait, and when I returned at 4:15 PM, I was informed there had been an issue with another guest and that it would be another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this delay extended significantly, and I did not receive access to my room until approximately 5:23 PM -- over two hours past the guaranteed check-in time. Traveling with a child made this delay even more difficult, and this level of inconvenience is unacceptable, especially for a stay that was LESS than 24 hours. My interaction with General Manager Nicole Jones was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and rude!! When I inquired about compensation for the delay and inconvenience, her response came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to the frustration of the situation. To make matters worse, when I finally entered the room, it was not in acceptable condition. The carpet had visible stains, raising concerns about cleanliness and calling into question why the room required such an extended delay! Between the delayed check-in, poor room condition, and lack of appropriate customer service from management, I will NEVER be returning to this location.

"A Rural Treasure Worth the Detour"…read more If you're looking for a true escape from Atlanta's chaos, the Grand Hotel in Hogansville is the antidote. This place isn't just a hotel -- it's a slow exhale. Nestled in a quiet rural town where the loudest noise is a train in the distance or the cicadas at night, the Grand Hotel feels like stepping back into a calmer era. The building itself, dating back to the late 1800s, has been beautifully restored without losing its soul. Each of the nine rooms has its own private bath and is filled with period antiques that make you feel like you've wandered into a Southern novel. But don't mistake "historic" for "stuffy" -- everything is fresh, clean, and lovingly cared for. My favorite part? The wrap-around porch. Sitting there in the evening, rocking gently in a chair while the sun dips behind the trees, you forget that Atlanta is less than an hour away. Time slows down here, and the world feels very far away -- in the best way possible. The staff radiates small-town warmth, happy to share a story about Hogansville's history or point you to a tucked-away café. You don't just feel like a guest -- you feel like a part of the community, even if just for a night. If you want big-city nightlife, keep heading north. But if you're craving rural charm, history, and a touch of class, the Grand Hotel is where you'll find it.

I feel badly even writing this next part about our actual stay/room...but it has to be done. My hope is that improvements can be made so that others don't have to go through what we went through. We walked into our room and here's what we found: The toilet seat was up and there were old pee stains under the rim and old poop stains inside the toilet and a pubic hair on the back of the bowl. The toilet seat was also dirty, as was the tank lid. There was a spider crawling behind the towels. The bedside tables had sticky residue on them. The alarm clock looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and was covered in dust. The bathroom door looked like it had dripped coffee dried on it. There was old hair in the bathtub. The bathroom countertops and trim were covered in a film of dust and crust. I ended up getting some cleaning supplies from our car and cleaned our room!!!! I almost couldn't stay there but we did not want to cause trouble. Also, we didn't trust that if we asked to change rooms that a new room would be any better. This is not the kind of thing that's random in a hotel; this is major problem kind of thing. We have never, ever, ever endured this type of dirtiness at a hotel and it's going to take a while to get over it.

You won't be able to use the kiosk to check in and depending on how busy it is, you might end up being in line for 30+ minutes to check in at the front desk. If you have an electric car, have a back up plan to charge your car. They have 4 Tesla chargers and two non-Tesla chargers. I've been told the two non-tesla ones does not work. The Tesla ones work half the time and you need to change the charge to 20amp from your car setting or it would stop charging after 5 minutes. I've also been told they plan to remove all the chargers in the near future so call ahead and ask. Sign up for their newsletter. They often have deals throughout the year and special sale on 8/4 every year. It's a fun place but everything inside is overpriced so expect to spend an extra $100 per night there if you plan on dining there as well. I've seen people pack their own lunch and drinks in a cooler and none of the staff members seem to care. There's also a mini fridge in the room and a microwave and ice machine on every floor. Bring a sweater or warm jacket. Walking out of the water park to air conditioned indoor area can be cold. In my opinion, staying on the first floor has been the more convenient. Especially the morning of checkout. You don't have to wait for the elevator and usually the elevator fills up quickly around checkout time. If you are purchasing miniature golf or bowling, buy the family deal if you have four or more people. The arcade Is a money pit, don't stay here too long or try your best to avoid it.
