We love staying at this charming historical bed & breakfast when we visit our nephew who goes to…read moreschool at Auburn. It is located in a charming town not far from the university. The hosts are so accommodating, and really make you feel at home. The rooms all have a different theme, and each are appointed with antique furnishing and other neat decor. This visit we stayed in the Seaside room, and loved it. The breakfast is by far one of my favorite parts of the place! We stayed for 3 nights, and enjoyed different options each morning. We would always start with a small yogurt & fruit parfait sprinkled with some nuts on top. For our main entrees, we tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, 2 eggs with hash browns, and the shrimp & grits. All delicious! They also had these amazing biscuits served with butter and jam (to die for). We enjoyed every moment of our stay. They have a beautiful porch with rocking chairs to relax in the shade. Their lawn is like a golf course, and great to play croquet on. We highly recommend this bed & breakfast for a unique experience.

Heritage house was a wonderful experience that one would need to have at least once. The small town…read moreof Opelika, Al is the most hallmark city ever and has so many great things to do. Coming from A big city with too many people with too much hustle and bustle, it's a nice slow down. But this beautiful bed and breakfast, which was a first for me, was a great experience. All of the nostalgic/historic furniture and motifs were a very unique view point of how society looked In years past. The owners Dani and Leif were super nice and accommodating. I hope more people will support locally owned and operated businesses like this for historical restoration buildings. FYI, there is a pinball/ video game bar that sells comic books in town and a speakeasy. Very, very lovely people and must go to place on your list. If I'm in the area I will be coming back again.

I attended a wedding two weeks ago at this location and Kelly and her team really know how to put…read moreon a fabulous wedding. The wedding was June 12th and I think I've looked at the pictures from the wedding every day since. The staff was so nice in making sure that the guest and wedding party were content and happy. The invitation said 6, but the wedding didn't start until 7, but no one seemed stressed about it, so I assumed it was an early time on the invite to make sure people didn't arrive late. There was a cash bar, and while I spent $48 without tip on 4 drinks, I'd happily to it again. They poured up a good drink There was an outdoor patio for standing around while we waited for the ceremony to begin, taking pictures, talking and smoking etc. The wedding was lovely overall and this venue only added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious, there was salmon, chicken tenders, brisket, Cesar salad. The collard greens were not to my tasting, but I'm from the south and nobody makes collards better than my grandmas and aunts. Again....Kelly and her team deserve all the accolades for what was seemingly a stress free wedding environment. I'm not sure of the cost, but the mother of the bride assured me it was reasonably priced for a wedding planned in less than two months.
