They hurt and are unattractive. Also, their sanitation practices seem poor. I'd never had dipped nails before but it seemed odd to dip my fingers (which were not washed) into a jar of dust that others had done similarly. It might be the last manicure I ever have. I do not got into nail salons often but all of the techs at this salon were very friendly, the salon was very clean, and my nail tech was AWESOME!! Once I entered the salon I was asked to wash my hands and noticed everyone was wearing a mask as well as protective shields between the techs and clients (a good sight in the age of COVID). Sasha welcomed me with a friendly and attentive demeanor. She helped me pick out the perfect polish and design for an upcoming wedding that I am attending as a bridesmaid. The tools were opened from sterilized packs and all tools and areas were clean and organized. I could not be happier with my experience. As mentioned before I do not go to the salon often, in fact I came in with nails in poor condition (I work with my hands a lot) and she turned them into pretty & ladylike nails with a glam flair I will definitely be returning and recommending Studio 13 and Sasha to all my friends. I arrived 15 minutes before 6 PM, but the door sign indicated they close at 6 PM daily. The staff member mentioned there was a 15-minute wait, which I accepted. I requested a basic fill-in with gel polish for myself (I had a few missing nails) and a pedicure with gel polish for my daughter. I didn't ask for pricing beforehand, which was my mistake. The nail tech was very attentive, and there were only two techs working. However, when it was time to pay, I was shocked by the total cost: $125. My daughter's pedicure alone was $60, and my fill-in was $65. There were no designs or extras, just gel polish. On top of that, I was charged a "convenient fee" for paying, which wasn't mentioned beforehand. I also left a $10 tip. While the customer service was great, I find the pricing unreasonable and my nails did not meet my expectations. I won't be returning.
