I will still come to Creative Nails when absolutely necessary, but unfortunately, my recent experiences have reinforced why I stopped going regularly. One of my biggest concerns is the quality of work being performed, particularly with services such as Gel-X and builder gel. I had builder gel applied to my nails here, and within 24 hours, two nails had completely broken and majority of all the nails were lifting. I went back to the salon because I thought there had clearly been an issue with the application, especially considering it had been less than a day. Instead of offering to fix the nails, I was told that I simply had "bad nails" and that there was nothing they could do because the previous nail technician had damaged them. The problem with that explanation is that the nails they were referring to were the same nails that their salon had just worked on. If anything, that response only confirmed to me that the original service had not been done correctly. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced issues here. Now, less than a week later, I am already having to get another full set and a pedicure elsewhere because my nails are lifting again, and there are visible bubbles underneath my French tip. I understand that nail services do not always go perfectly, but when problems occur within 24 hours, I believe the salon should stand behind its work and make an effort to correct the issue. Blaming the customer's nails--especially after the salon itself had just worked on them--is not acceptable customer service. I honestly find the 4.8-star rating extremely surprising given my experiences and the reputation I have personally seen surrounding this salon. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I had been a customer for years, but the consistency of these issues has made it very difficult to recommend Creative Nails.

We didn't wait very long, but after seating us side by side in pedicure chairs, they immediately started my friend's pedicure while I sat there for almost 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging me or explaining the delay. The pedicure itself was honestly very poor quality. The technician seemed rushed and did a very careless job. He didn't even file my toenails, which I have never experienced at any nail salon before. On top of that, nobody even asked me what type of pedicure I wanted. I requested a deluxe pedicure, as did my friend, yet somehow even though mine started much later, we both finished at the exact same time, which made the service feel rushed and incomplete. The most upsetting part happened when I paid. The total should have been $110. The woman at the front took my card, crumpled up the receipt, handed my card back, and I tipped both nail technicians separately in cash. After checking my bank account later, I realized my card had actually been charged $120 instead of $110. First experience (on my birthday last year): I called ahead asking for a gel pedicure and nails and clearly told them I had longer nails. I was told to come in right away. When I arrived, I noticed it was close to closing, but they told me to come. While I was finishing my pedicure, the owner began yelling at me, saying I should have come another day and should have been aware of the time--despite the phone call confirming I could come in. This was especially upsetting because it was my birthday, and I was recovering from a serious car accident. My father was treating me just to give me a little happiness during a hard time. The owner made me extremely uncomfortable the entire nail service. Another staff member actually told me to leave without paying for the pedicure because of how rude the owner was. I paid anyway, but I left feeling awful. Second experience (one year later): Against my better judgment, I returned earlier in the day with my mom and dad. All three of us got pedicures, and I asked--very clearly--if there was time for a gel acrylic fill. They said yes. My father prepaid for everything. Later, we realized he was charged around $180, which made no sense. When I called the salon to confirm pricing, I was told: * Gel pedicure: $50 * Gel acrylic fill: $55 * Gel add-on: $5 * Broken nail repair: possibly $5 extra That should have totaled around $105, not $180. When my father called to question the charge, they claimed it was because my nails were long and "took more time." That excuse doesn't hold up. The nail tech did not reshape my nails, rushed through the fill, and I even commented on how fast the service was. On top of that, I tipped $15. What makes this worse is that the woman on the phone originally said I should not have been charged that amount and didn't understand why I was--yet nothing was done. No refund. No accountability. Just excuses. To add insult to injury, the nail that was supposedly "repaired" started lifting the very next day, and I couldn't even go back to have it fixed. Bottom line: There are a few decent nail techs here, but it is not worth the risk. The customer service is terrible, pricing is inconsistent, and they make you feel like you're inconveniencing them--even when you're paying. Overcharging someone because you think you can get away with it is unacceptable. I will never return, and I strongly recommend going elsewhere
