The outdoor seating is on the street, which is great for people watching - to an extent satisfies the "see and be seen" attitude here. They have wine to purchase by the bottle to either take home or enjoy in their cute little side shop (note: they have cheese plates as well!) Most important: they have my beloved Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio. We arrived at Keste on a Wednesday evening around 10 pm. My musician husband immediately noticed a drum kit--the first he had seen since we arrived in Italy. The amazing wait staff greeted us warmly and promptly handed us drink menus with clear prices, contrary to some reviews claiming they were overcharged. Our drinks arrived quickly, and we instantly felt at home. The locals, who seem to frequent this bar on Wednesday nights (which we learned is jam session night), asked if we played music. My husband, a drummer, was invited to collaborate on the drum kit--not once but multiple times throughout the night. What was meant to be a one-hour stop turned into an all-night amazing experience. The bar seemed to get even better as the night went on! The vibe at Keste was nothing short of incredible. The music, the owner, the staff, the openness, and the overall sense of belonging made us feel right at home. If you are a musician in Naples, this is THE place to be.
