The cake was decent. The fish was fresh and moist, dipped in an egg batter. The lasagna was super tasty. My food was 4stars. I was with my brother and he was not as fortunate with his dried out veal Milanese, with salad. Now the staff was supposed to be of service with a smile. None was observed. Our server was very pushy and almost rude. His buddy also sucked. If you get to Sorrento, you can omit this place if you're unsure, though my meal was excellent.

A friend pointed out this restaurant right alongside the shopping path and we decided to take a seat. Enticed by their set menus (we decided to go with their 3 item menu ironically named the "Tourist Menu"), we spent about 20 euros each for average food. The cannelloni was probably the best out of the 3 items because it was simple and basic pasta with sauce, but it didn't really wow anyone in terms of flavor. The 2nd item was the fried meat with fries. I got veal while my friends got the fish which they described as soft and too much breading. My veal was okay, but still not a super spectacular item. Lastly was the dessert which was a lemon tart. Apparently this was premade as my group saw it being taken out of a box while using the restroom. Service was okay and they were patient with my group, but the meal took over an hour and a half which really ate into our limited time we had in the city. They weren't super busy and there were multiple servers, but it still took a long time between dishes to get them take away and ask for the bill at the end. The location is decent since it's right next to some cute shops and has tarp covering, but not really worth it because of the food/service itself. Would probably have chosen someplace else if I saw the reviews in advance.

Food was lovely and servers were also really nice. The breadsticks on the table were so so so good. My sister actually took some extra home haha. They had a salt + garlic flavor as well as a plain breadstick. Honestly both were really good. Fresh bread we brought to the table was also nice. Eggplant Parmesan was amazing!! I really love the flavor here and everything in the dish overall. Tried it at another restaurant the previous night for dinner but this was so so so much better! Fried calamari and shrimp had good portion size. I love the actual big heads of the calamari (the rings were a bit too oily and didn't seem to have substantial flesh, but the actual heads were nice!). Got the Pizza with the tomato, mushroom, sausage and hot pepper; Viva really hoping it would be spicy because of that hot pepper but it wasn't really spicy. Quite a fresh and hot pizza though. We saw the steam coming off when it came to the table. Definitely a good sign. Everyone loved that pizza!! Ravioli Caprese was also decent. I'm not too much a fan of tomato sauce so I preferred it without the sauce itself, but everyone seem to like it. Veal Escalope aka Scallopini (game with like a lemon white sauce) was simple but a good source of protein. Not a fatty cut of meat - more like lean protein and one of the cleaner items on the menu which I appreciated. Torta Caprese was the highlight for dessert. Rich and chocolatey and the crunch from the nuts was amazing. It was a little too crumbly though so we couldn't get proper spoonfuls on the fork. Also got the Tiramisu but it wasn't as good. There was some alcohol in there and it was a bit too strong.

We got the fried mozzerralla which was American mozzeralla sticks * 10 in flavor. The eggplant Parmesan, frutti de mare, and the octopus were all fantastic. We ended up eating at the restaurant three times. Once just for desert so we can relax and oversee Amalfi from their beautiful terrace. A big "Thank You" to Pasquale, Giovanni and their staff. They were very helpful, very nice and they actually smiled back and were willing to share local insight. They have some high end wines here that were above my spend limit so Giovanni was very helpful in recommending a nice $40-50 bottle that hit the spot. I figured a bottle of wine was better than the mixed cocktails that would add up to that amount. I was about to order a Ravello wine but was encouraged to try a wine with the LeFringe grapes or something, anyways it was good. It is hard to find nice characteristics and good personality in Ravello as many locals dislike tourists. But not at this establishment. Thank You Pasquale!

The little manager said that we would have to order a whole meal if we wanted deserts. Since had already eaten we just asked for the check to pay for the cappuccino's. When the check came he had charged us an 18.00 cover charge even when he would not serve us our desert. The waitress was very nice. However the little manager man was a jerk! I would not recommend this restaurant.

Being my first visit to Capri I was delighted for the opportunity to give it a try myself. After making the reservation, I actually decided to look on yelp and Google at the reviews And started having doubts given the almost equal number of five star versus one star reviews. Overall, I am glad I trusted my local friend and kept the booking. My meal was absolutely delicious and the prices, though expensive, or more reasonable than I was expecting given the destination. I had the tuna tartare followed by the veal filetto with truffles and mustard. I was half expecting the veal to be just some small piece but instead, I was delighted to receive 2x 5-ounce fillets. The best veal I've ever had. The interior seating is upscale and there were one or two celebrities who came in towards the end of my meal. People generally are dressed up. The outdoor seating is on the street, which is great for people watching - to an extent satisfies the "see and be seen" attitude here. I found the service to be generally friendly, a bit more reserved than that overflowing hospitality most Italians are known for, but generally speaking, attentive and deliberate.

The staff is really friendly, the food is good and priced similarly as other places in Capri. I highly recommend their fish carpaccio and any of their signature pizza's. However, I've had their veal with truffles and that was pretty good too. Their wine list contains a lot of hidden gems next to the classics. I will defo go again on my next Capri trip.
